I loved Episode 6 and I think that Season 3 has been Great so far. It is also good to see that a majority of "STAR TREK" fans have also been enjoying Season 3 so far.
I didn't understand that part about the HMS bounty was difficult to find. They know it crashed just the other side of the Golden gate bridge, they saw it on monitor, and then it sunk. Didn't they keep records back then?
NOT if they weren't LOOKING in that direction at the right moment . Whatever works as "Radar" for that time won't be tuned to Klingon "Cloak" , and if they had to go back and "search" where they _think_ it might be IF they realized it was there , the writers COULD use this as a reasonable , if THIN plot device . Remember - the WRITERS are MOVING a story along , NOT DEFENDING EARTH .
Adding on the issue of the reactivate cloak, all of earth's technology at the time was being disrupted by the probe. There was nothing they could record digitally, just the crew's testimony
The Bounty's cloaking device did not work that well. It left a visible distortion when used in space, however it seemed to work fine within an atmosphere. I always figured that the Klingons got the cloaking device from the Romulans as a benefit of the Klingon Romulan alliance and the Romulans gave them an early model that was flawed. I think it would of been a cool if when the Titan cloaked it had that Bounty distortion effect.
Ep 6 seemed a little dumb with the use of the cloak, the whole point of using the cloak was so that no one would know they where there and as we know Starfleet has for along time been able to detect incoming warp signals from un-cloaked ships, so in reality the station and the ships around it would see that an unexpected ship was warping in and go on high alert and they would be able to tell instantly what the ship was before it had a chance to cloak at which point they would start scanning for cloak signals
Not to mention….they had to decloak to beam. Something they didn’t have to do before and…if you know anything about decommissioned ships, they would never leave that kind of tech on board but…oh well. Memberberries!
Yeah , but if you don't already KNOW its there , you won't start LOOKING until something prompts the search . With it being so _old_ , Auto-Seek might NOT be tuned to THAT generation of Cloak development . LOTS of ways they COULD write this .
@@chuckintexas Well yeh but all fed ships and stations have had automatic and active sensors to detect incoming warp signals for a very very very long time , so the station and the ships would have seen Titan warping in and had time to make tea and a bacon sandwich / mowed the lawn / cleaned the station / repainted a few rooms/ had a sleep before the titan came out of war, so yes they would have known it was coming, as good as season 3 is it is also what i hate about current trek, because in old trek they would be cloaked while warping to hide the very viable warp signal and also as per lore they would not need to un-cloak to teleport, it kinda gets worse when La forge states that Picard is violating treaties, but then the only treaty preventing the use of cloaking was with Romulus and well that no longer exists and so any treaty becomes void
This was one of my favorite episodes, but my only critique was the Titan should have warped in WHILE CLOAKED, as that’s easily within the capability. I think this was done for the audience, but wasn’t necessary. Complacency would be the only justification for not seeing the Titan warp in, but they had just chased her off.
Really most star ships get dismantle or recycled and stripped of all major systems so why would you have the hms bounty witch sank and rusted out and impossible to repair
Ok , that _would_ be pretty cool , but ABANDONING The Titan _right THERE_ with the BOUNTY _suddenly_ "missing" would give it away , don't you think ? STILL , if the writers COULD find a way to USE The Bounty , THAT would absolutely be _very_ cool !
I like the fact that they fixed up the Enterprise A & put her in the fleet museum. Too bad they didn't park her next to the USS New Jersey. One question though: Did they tow the enterprise-a to the museum or did she go under her own power🤔

They couldn't find it because it's cloaking device had reactivated while it was on the ocean floor.

That line was there so we'd get it that the cloak still worked, hence we could take it.
Are you slow? The cloak activated while they were trying to find it. That’s what that line was about.

Originally the Klingon bird-of-prey was supposed to be a stolen romulan ship.

I’m pretty sure ships can’t warp while cloaked. I’m fairly certain the defiant never did.
Very much as I have described it! On another post.

Probably a nod to Star Trek IV The Voyage Home. After all, the ship brought 2 Humpback Whales into the future to save Earth.
DEPENDS on when they were actually able to LOCATE it . THEN they stowed it at a Museum Depot , which truthfully makes allot of good in-cannon sense .
I kinda was hoping they would have transferred off the Titan and onto the Bounty to throw off Starfleet

Kirk had one final voyage before bringing the enterprise A back to spacedock. I presume this time it was decommissioned willingly.

Relentless fan service in modern entertainment needs to end and we need to write more original scripts.
Write it then lol
