Bodycam footage shows Florida police confronting a man accused of trying to abduct a four-year-old boy in February. Miami Beach police said 26-year-old Nicolas Metternich Sternaman allegedly tried to snatch the child by pulling her arm before his father fought him off. I recall a story from maybe ten years ago, where a man snatched a little girl from her family's front yard while she was playing, and the girl's father caught up with the bad guy and un-alived him. I was like, please let me be on that father's jury. I would find him innocent, and deeply commend him for saving his child.
I wouldn’t want that for the father. I’m glad the police could take care of everything after taking the suspect into custody.
Juries don’t find people innocent, either the state proves beyond a reasonable doubt the defendant is guilty or they are found not guilty. Not guilty absolutely does not mean innocent, it simply means the burden of proof was not met to show the defendant was guilty.
He more than likely saved other children as well.
