    Not many people talk about the surgery so thank you for sharing openly your experience. I’m three weeks post-op (hysterectomy- complete, rectocele, cystocele). I still can’t sit comfortably in a chair. And I’m constantly worried I’ve ruined it because of how it looks. Nurse told me at 2 week check up, never ever take a mirror and look! Thank you for giving me hope it will all be ok! Your videos and comments made me feel better tonight.

    Had the surgery, like yours, very satisfied so far. Healing, really hard to not go out and walk long distances yet. Being patient for the 8 was to be up! Glad you feel so good, keep on telling your story.

    With the rectal surgery make sure you get stool softers..It's helps so much..you can get them from your store or pharmacy

      EXACTLY and removes the fear from the first post surgery poop. If you are like me then all the meds make things very solid so you need help...personally i had enemas on hand for weeks after as well. And still carry one on travels because you can ruin surgery after straining

    Hi there I know its 6 Yr ago but I had surgery 12 months ago posterer and anterior I had the same struggles as you but lately I had really bad bad constipation and I pushed too much ended up bleeding alot so I'm sure I've undone my posterier repair..I can just feel its not like it was so I've gone bk on my hrt and upped my kegal 8 exerciser so I'm hoping I don't not need to go bk for a 2nd repair as I paid privately so more money ...hope and pray I'm ok ..Good luck to anyone out there in recovery or gpjng for it x

      I poop and bleed most days TBH even you wont have damaged the repair. I have to splint as well to poop fully - that issue wasnt healed eve with surgery in the end...so if you have issues you arent alone!. Just work on not getting consitpated and if you do carry enemas to try soften the stuff xxx

    6 days post op from anterior and posterior repair (cystocele and rectocele and perinorrophy), just wanted to say thank you for your videos, I'm doing okay, keeping off my feet as much as possible, keeping the poos soft, too scared to push one out, lol

      @@TheWickfrees 6 weeks post op today, doing well now, feeling "normal" and back at work. had some sort of a bleed (toilet bowl full of blood) at about 10 days after a toilet trip, went to hospital, didnt get seen by a doctor, just "observed" by nurses as the bleeding had settled, and got a phone call from the doctor a couple of hours after I walked out and was at home. they "think" it was a stitch or a haematoma that came away and they dont re-suture anything here, just keep an eye on the bleeding (which was why I walked out and went home when it was apparent no-one was going to examine me)!

    oh my. Yes, the peeing whenever sneezing, coughing, laughing, jumping. So glad that's over now. My hospital gave me a colon powder for 30 days after the surgery, to help the poop coming and to keep it a bit softer so I don't need to push. Sitting proper is soo important!

      oh that sounds fab i have to be very careful to eat right and not get consitpated and i carry enema stuff just incase when i am away working etc...i should do a how to poop proper vid hahah -if you lean forward and elbows on knees and let gravity work it can help a lot x

    Looking forward to jumping and big kicks.

      oh love that - are you doing the jumping and big kicks yet?? six years on from surgery things are still awesome and only one bout of cystitus. i work hard with kegals etc to keep the surgery working well. Hope the stiches are gone and you got back to the intimacy - just take it easy. my surgeon warned me i was like an 18 year old down there now after op hahah....you have to take it easy!

    Hi....I have to have cystocele, rectocele, and hysterectomy. I am scared. I am told the surgery will take 3 hours. How do you prepare mentally for this?

    • @TheWickfrees
      @TheWickfrees  7 лет назад +2

      thankfully i was unconscious so didn't know how long it took - i had full surgical repair (no tape so that took about 2 hours. I guess you accept you will be scared and get the tears out and talk your fears over with staff - i had a spinal block which meant i wasn't scared i wouldn't wake up (which had been the fear). recovery from this is faster and pain is managed for 12 hours after due to block...i was sedated as well - ask for this option! Get the surgery done and start living x

    I copied and pasted doctor's notes regarding my surgery last weekI12/13. "SP Vaginal Hysterectomy with bilateral salpingectomy, McCall culdoplasty uterosacral ligament fixation, posterior vaginal wall repair, perineoplasty and placement of an Altis midurethral". I feel slightly better. Having issues with incontinence and seems more frequent than prior to surgery. I know it's still early post-op for me. But was incontinence STILL an issue for you?

      Thanks so very much for asking. I'm feeling much better. I deberán infection so my doc prescribed some meds for discharge. My incontinence has gotten worse but he said it'll get better. Hopefully soon, Lol - I'm back driving now. External sutures are healing fine and lots of the swelling has subsided. Internal sutured are slowly healing. Doing so much better. Just can't be on my feet long periods without feeling tired and weighed down

    I was operated for cystocele and rectocele 8 weeks ago. After 4 weeks I still couldn’t sit properly. It turned out that I was very infected and also needed metronazole (not sure if I wrote that properly). Tonight we attempted to have sex for the first time and it was very difficult. Researching this issue is how I came across your video. Would you mind telling me how you feel after 3 years? Did your sex life ever get back to normal? Thank you !

    • @TheWickfrees
      @TheWickfrees  5 лет назад +3

      Post op infections are the norm and suck... But I hope you got sorted. Sex after 8 weeks could be far too early. We did 10 weeks.. Ouch then 12 weeks all good. 4 years on I still have to take care... Its made to be like when we were young adults so we treat it with care lol. Xx how are you doing now. I also do 2 times per week pilates to support the op x

    Hi I had my surgery four weeks ago but now I’ve been experience a lot of pain did you ever go true pain after four weeks of surgery? The doctor say after six weeks it’s OK to have sex but with all the pain I’m going through I think I’m going to wait 12 weeks 😬how was your first time of sex after the surgery???

      Hello. You okay? I also had my surgery 4.5 weeks ago. And man has the pain got bad the last two days. I don’t get why as I’ve been so careful but I had some complications after surgery and was readmitted to hospital few days after surgery. I also try and find online videos and peoples other experiences and luckily came across this video. How you feeling now since you your comment last week x

    • @TheWickfrees

      i waited 12 weeks no idea how anyone could do it after six tbh...it was all stiched still in several places!. how are you doing now have you had any support. sex wise it was very gentle and missionary hahah...very vanilla for a long time so as not to damage me at all. i did find the orgasm was odd...as if the cut nerves all fire at different times...it does all work still but they vary in intensity greatly! in away its kind of cool...never boring for me!

    • @ekslh9792

      You would definitely want to make sure you are done having kids before doing these surgeries. Pregnancy is possible but you risk undoing the repairs.

      hello there - wait till all the stitches are gone and then go easy ;-) you will find out things are better than they were in forever ;-) i am scared mine will go all saggy again if i over use it lol...so we all have worries but just take the pain meds, take it easy and do as doctors say and No lifting etc x
