Fantastic List! Specifically for the first of the topic. The Dark Knight, The Lord of the Rings, Inception, Kill Bill.
However. I think The Dark Knight Movie has another defining moment who deserve his place on the List also, it's the Ending.
Also Spider-Man Raimi's Saga got also Defining Moments more Spectacular and Epic also.
Uncle Ben's Great Speech about Responsibility. The Upside-down Kiss between Mary-Jane Watson and Spider-Man. Even and also Spider-Man stopping the train.
In my humble opinion.
I’m a simple man. I see Aragorn son of Arathorn, rightful heir to the throne of Gondor and I click
Jonathan Wade same :). Love those movies
Amen to that
Me too
Totally did the same.
Yes dude!🙌🙌🙌
Come on, Rohirrim charging on Minas Tirith, sends shivers down my spine every time
How is it not in the list and how is this not top-comment
yeah ride of the rohirrim is better
Yeah the dialogue and the music and action scene and visuals were all just perfect.
Greatest scene ever to be filmed
Ride of Rohirrim is REAL epic.
It shouldn't have been titled "Is that everyone?" It should've been titled "Avengers Assemble"
I called it the "on your left" scene bc that kinda starts everything off
@@liloiax22 but it took ten years to build up to Cap saying "Avengers, assemble"
Booo booo dc #1.
Sorry marvel comedy universe

"On your left" defined Endgame!
In my opinion you guys missed Aragorn’s iconic phrase at the end of Return of the King when he says to the Hobbits ‘My friends, you bow to no one’ - and bows. That scene for me is the definition of an epic finale.
Entire Return of the King is an epic finale
The church scene from Kingsmen
The fight scene from Anchorman
"Are you not entertained?" from Gladiator
"I volunteer as tribute!" from Hunger Games
The upside-down kiss from Spider Man
Jack Sparrow's entrance from Curse of the Black Pearl
Oh Marry Me!!
I would have liked to see Order 66
Good list :)
"Captain" Jack Sparrow
Come on . Murray and Arthur scene from Joker
Some of those deserve to be in the list too or at least HM:
Inglourious Basterds - The intro
Gladiator - Are you not entertained?
The Pianist - Chopin Ballade in G Minor Scene
127 Hours -- Cutting hand scene
Joker - Talk show moment
Gran Torino - Get off my lawn
Taken - Phone scene
The Pursuit of Happyness - Getting the job scene
Saw - The ending
Anchorman - Slow motion scene
Oldboy - Hallway fight
The Raid - Corridor fight
Thanks for your list !
Inglourious Basterds - Bar/Game scene was better than intro IMHO. Also I put that scene maybe top 3.
@@cemizgi Yeah i also think the italian scene is memorable as well, the movie is a goddamn awesome..
The Revenant - Bear scene
@@irvancrocs1753 It's just epic. I watched countless times and never get bored.
“Instead of shrouding the battle in darkness...”
Little jab at GoT.
actually just the morons with awful TV setups despite its ability....just stupid stupid people!!!
@@dartvade1955 yeah man. The battle for Winterfell is visually cool if you set your screen right.
@@dartvade1955 The thing that pisses me off on that battle isn't visuals. It's just that everything about it is stupid. From the Dothraki, to the forward catapults, to the dragon situation, how everyone used them, to the infuriatingly dumb way they solved it by killing the night king, not setting up just about anything else. The characters, often, and what they did, and just well, a lot of things not making sense.
And then continuing to watch, as supposedly the Dothraki were killed in that battle for the most part, to having them have full reincarnation powers later in the season. I think it was clear during the last season that LOGIC has left the building, and the directors just couldn't give a crap anymore. Which is why I couldn't give a crap anymore.

Heath Ledger's Oscar winning performance is the best of over 20 years of film. I agree.
Lmfao nah
He was suppose to be in the second movie as well
Can you believe that there are people out there that think the joker in Gotham is way better than Heath.
It was a great performance but it wasnt the joker. As a joker fan im hurt by it

Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Caesar says, “NO!” This is an incredible movie moment.
That's a good choice. It gives me chills when I watch it.

Jack Sparrow arriving at the pier should’ve been on the list

So true!!!
True
Yeah. That's a pretty iconic scene.
Captain Jack Sparrow*
Lots of missing live action movies/moments, such as (in chronological order):
- the hand in the wheat from Gladiator;
- night fight over rooftops from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon;
- "Sparkling Diamonds" from Moulin Rouge!;
- "You... shall not... pass!" from The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring;
- kiss under the rain from Spider-Man;
- rap fight from 8 Mile;
- Jack Sparrow arrives from Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl;
- battle for Gondor from The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King;
- train scene from Spider-Man 2;
- car rescue from Crash;
- Miranda arrives from The Devil Wears Prada;
- "Jai Ho" at the end of Slumdog Millionaire;
- Thompson's death at the beginning of The Hurt Locker;
- battle for Pandora from Avatar;
- Snape's memories ("Always") from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - part 2;
- Hugh Glass vs. bear in The Revenant;
- airport fight from Captain America: Civil War;
- Diana in no man's land from Wonder Woman;
- underwater kiss at the end of The Shape of Water;
- "Shallow" from A Star is Born.
The end of Wind River. Predators don't kill unluky deer....
How anything other than Gladiator's "My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius..." could be number one is beyond me. How it got left off this list entirely is flagrantly criminal. Lots of people saying "Are you not entertained" should be on the list, and I love that part, but no film moment this century (and possibly of all time) has produced more goosebumps than Maximus revealing himself and his intentions.
John Wick destroying the stash where he buried guns and coins in his house, it should be on this list.
Actually didn’t think about this but I agree John wick should be here

Im even more surprised that Gandalf's "You shall not pass!" wasn't on this list.
I mean there's nothing more iconic and defining moment than that when you talk about the LOTR films.
It’s not shocking at all. You are just a big fan of those movies, which clouded your judgement
The interrogation scene in The Dark Knight is one of the most re-watch moments in movies.
The scene which broke me the most was from Logan: The Wolverine . I didn't cry in endgame or infinity war but I did when Logan died.
You know the scene from Logan when he was burying Professor X, and then he says "It's got water... and... it's got water..." and gets all teared up should have definitely made the list. I don't know what people say but that is an oscar winning act

"How about another joke Murray?" Scene should be on the list
Kelvin definitely not. I don’t think there are any “defining moments” from any 2019 movies. Where was the darth Vader twist or the gladiator scene or the “what” scene from pulp fiction? Whenever watch mojo does this they always fill their lists with things that are just there because of popularity or just to balance out their choices. Like why the hell was moonlight or hereditary there?
why though? It doesn't really define cinema at all, it's just a great, climatic scene. There's been scenes like it before and there will be scenes like it after.
@@johnw6272 Pulp Fiction released in 1994
Ojasva Maurya okay? And?
The endings of The Prestige, The Dark Knight, Rises, Inception, Arrival. And dock scene in Interstellar And Burj Khalifa moment from MI???
Yeah, Christopher Nolan is pretty awesome.
I was just going to mention the docking scene in Interstellar.
I also love the end of dark knight with the Two Face seen. “It’s not I want, it’s about what’s FARE...”
@Tim Kurtz “...ok, and for our next trick!”
Arrival is overrated IMO.
Man when Joker said "You have nothing to threaten me with, Nothing!" It was truly terrifying. He became invincible. Undoubtedly it was the greatest moment.
I was terrified. Not lying. He always gets me.
Yall know that this are movies? Not real, especially not some violet skinned comic book alien.
Aragorn's "My friends, you bow to know one" and the fantastic Howard Shore music comes in and the scene makes me tear up every time!
Kang Nolan is 2 times here. I can’t wait for Tenet, hopefully this year.
Nolan is clearly the #1 director of this century for sure. All his movies are a lock to be "really good" at absolute worst. Tenet will be great!
The Mount Rushmore Of Everything Nolan doesn’t even come close to Fincher or Paul Thomas Anderson
Interstellar should've been on here too

I knew that inception was gonna be in this list. That hallway fight scene had me at the edge of my seat.
I had some internet Oregon chick send me that movie because "you haven't seen it!!😲😲"
I still haven't watched it. I'll put it on in the background while cleaning sometimes.
That's my inception story.
Inception was a great movie to watch but left me with a massive headache trying to understand it
"After all this time?"
"Always."
The fact that Avengers Endgame is at 20 when it defined an entire generation, makes no sense. The “is that everyone?” Scene in particular brings together the entire MCU, which has never been done before in any franchise, to have that many characters in one film. It is the most defining moment of cinema (So Far). Not to mention, there is no Star Wars on this list, which also makes no sense.
Yeah
They didn't even add the dark side of the Force is a Pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural in rise of Skywalker
Yeah, no. I definitely wouldn't say it's anywhere near the most defining moment in cinema. No even close. Not that I know what the most defining moment is, but i can definitely say that it isn't.
Believe it or not Endgame is not the best movie ever, nerd.
Neil Bean honestly this was just a typo. I certainly don’t feel it’s the MOST defining either. As you said though, there’s no way to know what is the most defining, it varies and differs for everyone. At the end of the day, it’s all just an opinion, just as my comment was just that. My opinion. Like I said though, I was meant to say one of the most and not the most.
666animalmother I’ll agree with you, it’s certainly not the best movie ever, I’ll be first to admit that. There’s a lot of clunkiness in the middle that could’ve been smoother, or taken out entirely. I really don’t think my comment implied that it was the best movie ever, because it certainly isn’t. I just feel that it was a big moment, and given the title of the video, I feel it should’ve been higher. Like I said to Neil though, that’s just my opinion.
Avengers: "ASSEMBLE". Also Captain America wielding Thor's Mjolnir and battling Thanos were the best moments in Avengers: Endgame.
I am Iron Man. Thor calling Mjolnir and Stormbreaker.

the scene in django when candy finds out django and shultz’s true intentions should at least be an honorable mention. also the climax of the departed. missed a few golden ones here
Funk O'Matic yes for sure. that was real blood from leo’s hand and he kept acting through it
That coin scene in the convenient store from No Country for Old Men still makes me feel violated after all these years, "Avengers.....Assemble" will forever bring a smile to my face, J.K. Simmons is untouchable in Whiplash, The Two Towers will always be my favorite Lord of the Rings flick, There Will Be Blood is the best film of this century and there will never not be a time of day when I don't feel like watching Mad Max: Fury Road. I love cinema!
Avengers end Lord of thrRings so shit movies end boring .

The Joker is so evil, that he stole the first place of the list
Dark Knight is great but by beating Lord of the Rings make no sense.
Dark Knight is better than LOTR
Amirul Asyraf LOTR 2 was a battle, yes epic and emotional... but the Dark Knight scene just shows you how deep Batman/Joker relation is... mentally, physically and emotional... Heath Ledger got backlash for casting... but damn the way he portrayed Joker was amazing...
I've Never seen the LOTR, and yet I doubt that some pre-teen wizard had a more impactful line than that of several lines (pick one) that the uncontested, excellent performance of Heath Ledger's "THE JOKER"!!!

Any Lord of the rings scene deserved top spot
@Bradyn Kerr The Dark Knight is better than the Avengers buddy. Film fans think that, not just batman fanboys. And the interrogation scene was much better and didn't rely on purely fan service.
@Bradyn Kerr, I don’t want to sound like a Marvel fanboy but yeah, people overrate The Dark Knight so much. It has some of the worst action I’ve seen in a superhero movie and Batman in that movie is as interesting as a piece of wood

Mystery Nijitori I’m 100% with you. It’s a moment that took an entire decade and 21 prior movies to set up. The reason you care a about every single person who walks out of those portals is because Marvel put the leg work in for each and every one. Any basic knowledge of Hollywood and movie making will tell you what an impossible task that was until this point. This belongs at the very least top ten.

the scene of the Rohirim charging to minas tirith is to this day the pinnacle of cinematography and nothing will ever top it
"Thor arrives in wakanda" from Infinity war deserve to be atleast in honorable mentions.
They only do one scene per movie which is stupid because Tony snapping and Cap becoming worthy should be on the list
@@alexweiner1491 Cap has always been worthy though...
"BRING ME THANOS"
Inglorious bastard‘s opening scene and the “I am Iron Man” should’ve at least been oh Unroe mentions
alekisanita tukumoeatu the entire opening scene of IB doesn’t count as a moment
@@Lamidemonami7891 Battle of Helm's Deep is not a moment also. It's a 45 min long battle scene.
I prefer the bear jew scene over the opening
İsmail Cem İzgi well it’s not my problem they don’t know what a moment is
Here are some of my favorite moments in movies this last century that didn't make this list in no particular order.
Requiem for a Dream - Red dress monologue
The Master - Proccessing scene
Old boy - Hallway fight scene
LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring - Gandolfs arrival
Moonlight - Beach scene with Juan
Parasite - Ending
Whiplash - Ending
Birdman - Ending
Black Swan - Ending
Memento - Ending
Children of Men - Cease Fire! Scene
The Lighthouse - Lobster curse monologue
City of God - Opening
Inglorious Basterds - Opening
Werchmeister Harmonies - Opening
Neil Bean I like it. But I’d change lord of the rings to “you now to no one” or “I can’t carry the ring, but I can carry you”
That's a great list of movies and probably these are some of the greatest movies of the century so far. However, you forget that the majority have very low standards when it comes to movies. People nowadays like superhero movies and action movies that do not male sense at all 😂😂
Thor in Wakanda scene, I am Iron man scene, Spiderman's arrival Scene, But he can scene from Ragnarak, what does it cost-everything scene, ben's destroying rugby ground scene, Andrew Laddies scene from Shutter Island, Jurassic world T-rex raptor team up scene, Identity's whores dont get a second chance scene, Jack Phoenix Joker creating smile scene, Departed's shooting scene, Hans Landa's milk scene, 1917's last man standing dialogue by benedict scene - lots are missing here.
You didnt even include Rohans epic charge to save minas tirith in return of the king.
The Dark Knight is at no. 1, i don't have any other issue then.
Gyandeep Singh Endgame’s avengers assemble scene should be no 1 that’s all I gotta say it’s the moment of the century
@@yatharth7703 really bro endgame ??
@@yatharth7703 Bro, in The Dark Knight, Joker-BatMan conversation was something exceptional and deep, not just an animated superhero entrance.
I really liked the scene in the EndGame though, but that doesn't define it as the Defining Movie moment.
