I agree with this list but 2 smart villains from the Harry Potter series could have been on this list such as Voldermort or Dolores Umbridge. Very cunning villains in their own right. But Kevin Spacey and Javier Bardem on this list a couple of times each shows their range as exceptional actors to play these very complex villains! Great list!
I don't think Dolores was smart... she was just privileged and controlled by smarter people.... Voldermort though... yah that was a smart man. Grindelwald too.
Since this movie appeared in "action movies where the villain wins" at no.7. I think you should have added the gang of wasseypur's villain ramadhir Singh and his son. These two literally manipulated and told the two khans family to go on war meanwhile they were living their lives peacefully. And they wins(even tho ramadhir Singh gets brutally killed) with all of the Khan families dying.

Johm kramer should be alot higher in the list potentially number one for me. I don’t understand how Emperor Palpatine, isn’t number one. Yeah Hannibal Lecter is brilliant, but he didn’t accomplish any feat even close to what Darth Sidious did. Some fan theories say that he had a clone of himself, like his troopers, so when he died, he was transferred into the other, so that's kind of cheating death, I don't believe that because how can he clone himself? With something like that, he could even be twice as powerful as we know.
@@JBDude52 ooooooh u mean about the new star wars episodes, nah man i dont consider them as a real sequel, for me palp died by the hand of vader how lucas intended
@@e7danny7m well, that's fine, but remember this is my opinion
Good call on The Talented Mr. Ripley. Matt Damon's character was quite clever. Kahn from Star Trek 2 (Ricardo version) is another good addition. Edward Norton in Primal Fear FOR SURE. Hans Gruber for Die Hard 1, also for sure. Jon Doe in Seven is another good one. And YES to Keyser Soze/Verbil Kint.
Hans Gruber from Die Hard. Definitely one of the Smartest movie Villians.
All 20 movie villains with intelligence.
👏👏👏👏👏👏
Bardem plays the perfect villain
I'd give an honourable mention to Simon Gruber who, unlike his brother Hans, actually succeeded in his heist
Shame McClain figured out where he was afterwards
Especially since his Simon gave John and Zeus runarounds with riddles as means for them to try stop some bombs
For Halloween 2022, I took the joy of dressing up as Anton Chigurh and people said that I was menacing. So I took a photo of myself to show my friends and family to see if was truly scary and they told that I was.
“King Wakandan T’chaka” made me laugh so hard 😂😂
I agree with this list but 2 smart villains from the Harry Potter series could have been on this list such as Voldermort or Dolores Umbridge. Very cunning villains in their own right. But Kevin Spacey and Javier Bardem on this list a couple of times each shows their range as exceptional actors to play these very complex villains! Great list!
I don't think Dolores was smart... she was just privileged and controlled by smarter people.... Voldermort though... yah that was a smart man. Grindelwald too.
Kevin Spacey is a real life villain he doesn't have to act much.
@@HumanHamCube LOL right!
Jigsaw/ John Kramer should be much higher on this list, his whole thing was about being smarter
I think Mr. Glass should have been in the list
I don't always agree with Mojo's list but this is spot-on
Nice list but to me Hans Gruber and The Joker should of been in the Top 5, but good list either way.
Dr. Hannibal Lecter is definitely the Ambassador of Smartest Movie Villains.
☺☺ I am glad you put Hannibal in here. He really is the best villain👍 But it is true, Moriarty deserves recognition here too. I mean, he is the actual villain version of Sherlock Holmes. #ScoopofGossip
I feel great attraction to evildoers with great emotional intelligence, capable of manipulating anyone's mind for their own benefit and some of my favorites that have not been included in this list are: John Milton 😈(Al Pacino in "Devil's Advocate "), Thulsa Doom 🐍 (James Earl Jones in "Conan") and Amy Elliott Dunne 🍾 (Rosemund Pike in "Gone Girl")
Damn. Good call. "Amy Elliott Dunne" really is one of the greatest villains.
I'm glad Zemo made it on here, that was my #1 guess to be on this list
Kurgan from Highlander also deserves a mention imo. Scary and humorous at the same time !!
Ah, yes, the great Clancy Brown. His most famous role is, of course, Mr. Krabs from Spongebob Squarepants!
Top 20 Smartest villains who didn't expose their plans to the main character.... Maybe?....
Anton Chigurh scared the shit out of me!
The Zemo shoutout!!! He was so so fun and ridiculous in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier
I was waiting for seven. Good job.
Johm kramer should be alot higher in the list potentially number one for me. Guy is impossible to find until he wanted to be found, games he made from scratch and each game did not fail, created a cult following of helpers and left nothing to chance he planned everything and anything. Guy cannot be that low in the list.
Exactly
Hannibal has to be the no 1.. GOAT 🔥
I really hated a villain on the bad they are doing but I really loved and liked Supervillains or villains when they have a unique secretive compelling evil schemes or plans.
Joker, Anton and Hans especially should be higher up but bottom line how lucky we are for such wonderful story villains
What, no Blofeld? He founded Specter, was Goldfinger's boss. He was the mastermind behind most of all the schemes James Bond foiled. Blofeld should have been top 3, easy.
And he is so iconic!
This was a good one, I enjoyed it a lot :)
I don’t understand how Emperor Palpatine, isn’t number one. Yeah Hannibal Lecter is brilliant, but he didn’t accomplish any feat even close to what Darth Sidious did. No one is smarter than a man who ruled an entire galaxy for decades after manipulating his way to the top. None of these villains, are on his level. That’s just facts.
Yeah you’re right about that 💯
