      Thanks mate 😀 There'll be an ultra marathon between the ceremony and reception of course and gels instead of a wedding meal 😅 Really looking forward to getting out to the mountains again and this time further afield, good times!

    Your training in the Swiss Alps looks incredible, Ben! The mix of tough climbs, strength work, and the scenic views of Scotland is just epic. Also, love seeing you and your fiancé making the most of your time together, even with the midges. Best of luck with the final preparations - can't wait to see how it all turns out!

    We know you went to Gregg's really, Ben 😂 That stock footage of you in the gym was pretty convincing though...!
    Good work, finding a mobility routine you can stick to. I get bored after about a week usually.
    Good luck for race day 👍

      OK I admit it, the gym video was AI generated 😅 Perfect placement of that Greggs next to a gym for refuelling! I used to really not want to do Mobility but I mostly do it in front of the TV so it doesn't feel like it's too much extra hassle.

    Brilliant video. So much in it. We're on a 20 min daily hybrid S&C programme given by our movement specialist. Big gains hopefully.
    Congratulations on the engagement. You're made for each other.
    I see you've joined the Coros revolution. I just love the platform and data, although not collecting elevation at all.
    Final point. Regarding your microphone. It's time we invested. Was the one you spoke into at Dirchling the same one as at Loch Lomond, with the furry thing removed? Or are they two different apparati?
    Enjoy the rest of your well earned holiday.

    • @timeonfeet
      @timeonfeet  5 месяцев назад

      Thanks both. It's been a lot of trial and error for me with S&C but definitely making progress and finding a program I'm pretty happy with.
      Love Coros, I've been using them a while now and although the display isn't as fancy as Garmin I really like the regular firmware updates and the crazy battery life and workouts creator.
      Yes I got the mic recently, it's one that plugs into my phone but can't be used with gopro. It's the same mic just with different covers. I'll see if I can find the name - still playing around with it but seems to be good so far

      @@tworunningbrooms I think it might be gopro compatable if you get what's called a media mod but on the GoPro hero 10 which is what I've got there no Bluetooth connectivity for mics. If you've got a newer gopro it might do it but would need to see on the spec

    Great video, thanks for sharing your training.
    for my strength training I only do 4 exercises: barbell squats, dumbbell lunges, dumbbell incline press, pull-ups 2 times a week.
    that is all I think you really need for strength training for running.
    ski erg, I'm not convinced, I just use my poles on hills.
    but that's just what I do, I think it is important you do what works for you!
    I also do a lot of elevation without worrying about speed.
    Congrats on the engagement!

    • @timeonfeet
      @timeonfeet  Месяц назад +1

      Thanks for watching and for sharing your strength exercises, always good to know what people do and what works for them. It's difficult to know if the ski erg has a big effect but it felt like quite an efficient way to build strength for pole use as we have got big continuous climbs where I live. The ideal would be mountains or big ascents where possible.
