    -- NOTE -- NOTE -- NOTE -- NOTE -- NOTE --
    I make a reference in the video that the tab "IFC Export" isn't in the Bent Plate UDA dialog. This is clearly not the case and it even shows up in the video. I apologize for this error. I didn't take it out because the overall idea is that there are missing tabs in the Bent Plate UDA dialog. I don't believe the actual missing tabs are relevant in this case.

      I've never heard it described that way, but it's so true. Tekla Structures is definitely "a whole world" (and we're all just living in it!). 😃

    Thanks, dear.
    If we use drawing view base datum we won't get real level in the model by inquiry command which is important in collaboration.
    Is there any way in model similary?

    • @gullan9604
      @gullan9604 6 лет назад

      The relatively new functionality Base point and Project base point, allows you to set an "insertion point" and rotation for your model. This allows you to use that in any drawing and export functionality.
      If you want to see "correct" elevation in the model view using Inquiry you need to modify the inquiry-dialog. That requires some skills in template-programming. The templates that are used for inquiry might differ depending on your installed environment, and can be found in >Tekla installation folder>\environment\common\system , ie C:\TeklaStructures\2018\Environments\common\system. Their name starts with TS_Report_Inquire_.rpt where might be "Part", "Cast_Unit", and so on. Please note that your own installed environment might have some or all of these files in corresponding environment, for instance; C:\TeklaStructures\2018\Environments\sweden\system and therefor overrides the ones in common. My guess is that if you place a copy for testing in model folder that will be used primarly.
      These rpt-files can be opened in Template editor. You need to localize the valuefield that uses TOP_LEVEL_GLOBAL and change or perhaps better add a new valuefield with the attribute TOP_LEVEL_PROJECT (for project basepoint-used top level) or TOP_LEVEL_BASEPOINT (for current basepoint-used top level).

    this imperial unit is crazy, it would be more confusing if you would use roman numerals, like CXII'-IV I/XVI

      I don't work with either of these so I honestly don't know. You might try checking the Tekla Warehouse for additional software.
