It's very valuable how you break down certain notes in the fragrances, describing the materials etc. This kind of content really increases appreciation and enjoyment of perfume. Thank you
Terre D'Hermès was the first fragrance i really fell for, just a month ago, without having any real interest in fragrances up to that point. It was love at first... well maybe second sniff
One of my favorites to break out for spring that smells amazing and has fantastic projection and longevity is Bottega Veneta Pour Homme Extreme, sadly discontinued.
I was just in L.A. on business and the hotel did everything in Philosykos....oh my god, I just found a love for life. Completely 100% a revelation. Good choice! Also TDH is my signature of fifteen years...its just perfect for me.
I just bought a miniature of Un Jardin sur le Nil last month and I can't wait to wear it once it's really hot outside! Just love the entire jardin series as a whole and they are decently priced. My only issue is the performance of it, at least on my skin.
I think Memo has many soft leather fragrances that would work perfectly in the Spring weather like Ocean leather, Italian leather, Russian leather ... I love Terre d'Hermès. It's a classic but you can't go wrong with this one. I also really enjoy the intense vetiver version that would work better in the heat. The whole Les jardins range is wonderful. Still I have a preference for Un jardin sur le toit and Un jardin sur le Nil. These 2 work perfectly well for Spring and I have a really good longevity with them (especially with Un jardin sur le toit). ❤ Indeed, you can only smell great with these recommendations. I wish I could smell more people wearing these ones in the street 😁
Ashley, Last year I discovered an amazing spring into summer fragrance combo. I base with Mancera Hindu Kush for depth and longevity, then spritz a couple times on hair and or clothes with Mugler's Fly Away. Lasts 6 to 8 hours. For a fun "green" spring or summer, I do same with base of a good, aquatic citrus then spray Lempicka Green Lover on wrists. Crazy good combo. Don't tell anyone.
@@expansefloating4096 What I like about Hindu Kush is that it is not modern sweet or old school either. It has it's own vibe. I do not get a banana note at all, although there is a bubblegum thing in the opening few minutes, but disappears entirely after that. Try to get a sample. I think you will be surprised at how good it is.
You have done a great job keeping up w the content in 2022. I always tune in as soon as you post. Your subscriber # has grown dramatically. Congrats, keep it up. Much appreciated. I have bought many of the fragrances you have mentioned and have loved every one of them.
I just ordered Terre de Hermes yesterday. I’ve heard great things about it. I enjoy your reviews. You are pleasant to listen to. Keep up the great work. Cliff from Georgia.
Ashley, great video as always from you. I love Philosykos Eau de Toilette by Diptyque. I wear it a lot in the spring along with Terre d'Hermes. Both fragrances are classics.
I really enjoy how you describe these. So thank you for that. I've been into Diptyque Orpheon lately. Haven't smelled anything like it before. Looking forward to your future videos!
I’m looking forward to wearing Mfk masculin pluriel as well as amyris pour homme Amouage Beloved Mancera Kumkat wood And any vetiver frag in my collection
I love the way you describe scents! You make me see new sides of them, and also you are very calming to listen to. Right now, it has been sunny and cold where I live, and Megeve by Eight and Bob has been so nice on my hubby, and Terre d' Hermes - I adooore it! and find it very sexy. Need to try Scilian Leather!
Lovely to take in your selection for spring Ashley. Thank you for kindly sharing. By wonderful coincidence I was trying out some offerings from Hermes yesterday on Oxford Street in London. Just before the lockdown in 2020 I had sampled Terre d’Hermes and came away not feeling overwhelmed by it. However yesterday I discovered the Eau Intense Vetiver EDP and bring this up because I recall you saying on Sebastian’s channel in a previous life that you enjoyed Lalique Encre Noir Au Extreme. I would be grateful to learn of your impressions on this creation by Christine Nagel. I do have to admit though that it is very likely to become my new signature scent!! Wish you every joy in the Parisian Spring!!
@@expansefloating4096 Indeed I can report it is now one of my signature scents. The initial citrus rush courtesy of the lemon and grapefruit just lingers with the Sichuan pepper very evident in the background amidst the dry and well-infused Vetiver. I wouldn’t say the Vetiver was intense but the elements in this scent are extremely well-blended. It is a work of art!!
I've sampled Memo Sicilian Leather a couple of times at Bloomingdales here in NY, I love it! I'm definitely buying it on my next visit. Great list & review Ashley..
Great video Ashley. I have owned Terre de Hermes before and plan to buy another bottle this spring (EDT of course) It was nice hearing your description and suggestion to endorse that great fragrance to us. Cheers from cold Canada!
I alternate between Terre D Hermés and H24 for my work fragrance. They are different but both are fresh, long lasting and stand out from the other designer mens fragrances
@@bromunn8102 It's a classic that has been made smoother. I'm generally not a fan of 80's fragrances, but when they are smoothened out and made a little modern, they are perfect for me. Fahrenheit Parfum is another that is simply amazing.
Hi Ashley, great topic and great list. I would add Acqua Viva by Profumum Roma, also Moon Fever by Memo, oh and Tam Dao by Diptique. Thanks for recommending Jardin Sur le Nil....
This is a great take , I can definitely see that you have a more refine taste and these are some of the best and nonetheless timeless scents and definitely easily accesible by both sex … I recently bought mancera Sicily and thinking that the floral note and big peach note will be to feminine but it’s been very successful and love around me .. have a great day
Great channel Ashley, I've really grown to appreciate your opinions and recommendations for men. I was curious to get your opinion on H24 from Hermes. Picked it up recently on a whim and for a guy who typically only wears aquatics and "blue's" I'm finding it a little challenging lol. Not to say it's bad by any means, but it's definitely different than what I'm used to I suppose.
I tried Terre D'Hermes 2 days ago for the first time and I didn't like it. I didn't dislike it to the point where I would never want to smell it on anybody but I would never buy it for myself. I realized (prepare yourself) that I'm not the biggest fan of vetiver. I know, sacrilege! It kinda makes me feel uneasy. I actually don't mind Encre Noir that much and I've worn it quite a few times. I think the difference is that Encre Noir it's supposed to be dark and 'challenging' and that could be fun, but quite frequently when vetiver is used as a supporting note it kinda jumps out at me and doesn't let me focus on anything else to the point of being irritating. It lasted for hours and hours on me, same as Kenzo Homme edp which to me smelled like an awful shower gel. I had the brightest idea of trying out at the same time... I couldn't wash them off my skin and they choked me the whole day. Maybe I wouldn't dislike it quite as much if there was no Kenzo fighting for attention but I have no desire to test it out again.
Terre D’Hermes is a high-quality fragrance. Well blended and smells expensive. I can see why a lot of people love it. However, it’s not for me. I can’t tell you why I don’t like it. I just don’t like it.
It’s funny because that’s exactly what I thought when I first got my bottle. To this day it’s still the no.1 signature worthy in my collection. I recently sampled Ganymede by Marc Antoine Barrois and that’s the only one that could compete with Terre for me.
I discovered your channel only recently, and I love your vids and your taste. Yes, Elysium is a wonderful scent. I’m more of a niche guy (various PDM, Initio, MFK, …), and Terre d’Hermès is my only designer scent … and one of my signatures. It’s so … nice. I was born in Sicily, so I should definitely try Sicilian Leather.😅 The other “Sicilian” fragrance I’m looking forward to is Naxos, which I will be wearing when it gets cooler again. Great channel. Subscribed. By the way, do you have an opinion on MFK Gentle Fluidity Silver. This could be another everyday scent for me.
what is a great green fragrance? I know one, that is phenomenally beautiful and underrated, nobody seems to care about it, which is good. so not everyone uses it. but I don't know any other good green fragrances. green seems to be a unpopular category of fragrances.
@@keep_walking_on_grass hmmm alright, that category isn’t one I know a ton about. But what does come to mind is Vetiver Tonka from Hermes. That one is quite similar to Bal d’Afrique, but imo it’s better. You get the greenness from the vetiver.

I do-not like Terre D'Hermes at all! Too me,it doesn't make sense to wear something that makes you smell like the out doors or an orange or something that to me smells and tastes bad like a mango? Here in America, kitchen and bathjroom cleaners all smells like lemons or oranges! Plus, along while back, they made air fresheners that smelled like roses too! Layton is the only niche that I have, that I like! I have Sedley and I felt ripped off after I paid too much for something that Sucks!
