Hi Ashley: I found your channel only a couple of months ago when Jusderose mentioned you in one of your videos and then I recognized you from some very old videos with Sebastian. Two of my favorite fragrance reviewers. I hope you return to RUclips with more videos - I love your style and how you knowledgeably explain the fragrances from an educated perfumer’s perspective. What an exciting fragrance journey you’ve had - I would love to see more! Cheers!
I’ve been collecting fragrances for about a decade and watching RUclips reviews for about 4-5 years. Just found you today. You are the first person I’ve heard speak about Neela Vermeire! It’s a criminally underrated house. Thanks for the lovely suggestions.
I have been wearing Hermes ambre des merveilles, bdk gris charnel, and atelier cologne vanille insensee - they’re are warm but still have a freshness/airiness to them. Also just purchased Chergui this fall and it has been growing on me.
I’m so glad you kept the fragrances a mystery!! We don’t need them in the thumbnail. It makes people less likely to watch. You’re too good to give info away before the video even starts!! As usual, great list.
Ashoka is probably my most favorite fragrance, and the whole line is impressive. I just received a sample of Indigo Smoke and I had the same reaction; it instantly made me smile.
I'm really looking for an amber. I've got Tuxedo by YSL and love it but it does feel a little too professional for normal office days. Currently looking into Ambre Sultan by Chergui.
Bonjour Ashley! Thank you for your presentation. I saw you at least once with Sebastián. I barely discovered creamy sandalwood, i.e. SANTAL Complet de FDB.
Great video and I enjoyed it and I like chergi and it's a 8.5 of 10 fragrance in my opinion and I'm going to try the other fragrances and have a blessed day
Amazing video, I use those niche fragrances for fall 1. Tuxedo Yves Saint Laurent 2. Intoxicated By Kilian 3. Naxos Xerjoff 4. Oajan Parfums de Marly 5. Straight to Heaven By Kilian 6. Reflection 45 Amouage
Fantastic recommendations, love your insights too. Still rather warm fall in Brussels, wearing Eau Capitale and Costume National Homme Parfum. Ciao ciao
Ambre Précieux is my favorite amber as well! I adore it. Let's see.. I have been wearing this Vanilla Therapy by Dua during the still pretty warm weather. It's so good! And Le Lion I got a giant bottle of since my old 75 ml is nearly gone, and I just got Santal Piano which is wonderful but so close to Loewe 001 Woman to me! (I bought it blind). Anyway I love both and will have to test them side by side.
Hi Ashley! Been a longtime fragrance collector and actually have two of the masterpieces you mentioned: Chergui (really old bottle, haha) and Ambre Narguile (such a delicious gourmand!)! I also have a sample of Ambre Precieux. I totally agree with all your picks, and am so glad you're here to talk about these under-hyped and underrated fragrances. Thanks to you I want to get a discovery set from Neela Vermeire and also sample Indigo Smoke! Thank you for this awesome list!
It is fantastic !! I was able to know fragrances which are unique !! Especially, I would love to try the last one because ambre is my favorite note. Thank you. Ashley !!
I ordered a travel size of indigo smoke after I first heard about it from you, can’t wait to try it! Most of the tea scents in the market are way too citrus forward, whereas I’m looking for a deep steeped black tea ☕️ my favorite tea scent to date is Guerlain neroli outrenoir, I have the 200ml 😬I just ordered Ambre Precieux directly from the site - it's sold out everywhere so this is a blind buy, but I love amber and I trust you in saying it's your #1 niche :) in your Top 10 niche video with Sebastian!
I just ordered Ashoka and the discovery scent on LuckyScent. I don’t think I’ve ever tried a fig leather accord, now I’ll have all 5 from your Fall list 🥰
Great List! I also Love Ambre Narguile! My fall Favorites this year. Guerlain Samsara (its soft warm comforting), Crabtree & Evelyn. Evelyn Rose Femme De Force (Spicy Woody Rose), Killian Angels Share, Xerjoff Richwood (Sandalwood Rose Patchouli) , A Clone of Roja Parfums Aoud Absolue Precieux, ( Oud Rose Fig) Hiram Green Slow Dive (Photo realistic Spiced Honey). Side Note: Have you Sampled African Roobios By Chris Collins? I'm not an expert on Tea fragrances but It was a love at first smell for me it's a beautiful tea fragrance.
Ashley, thanks for doing this excellent video. I own Chergui by Serge Lutens & Ambre Narguile by Hermès. I never tried Ashoka by Neela Vermeire Creations, Indigo Smoke by Arquiste & Ambre Precieux by Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier. I will seek all 3 fragrances out the next time I go to NYC. You ALWAYS introduce your subscribers to interesting fragrances. I LOVE your channel.
Hi Ashley, what excellent suggestions! For tobacco scents am presently enjoying both Amouage Boundless and Amouage Royal Tobacco for their rich incense backing (and prunol for Royal Tobacco), and also enjoying Kilian Back to Black for a honey tobacco. Tobacco is such a versatile note! I previously owned and sold a bottle of Chergui, but after several years my nose and tastes have matured where I can now better appreciate the hay note, so I'm wanting another bottle of Chergui to get it back into the collection. I also have a bottle of Ambre Precieux and fully agree with how beautiful this amber is. Love Ambre Narguile as well, but presently only have a sample of it. Indigo Smoke and Ashoka both sound wonderful and will seek to sample them. Thanks for the wonderful advice, as always.
I have Serge Lutens Chergui and a decant of Ambre Precieux. The Ambre Precieux I thought was OK, but not my favorite amber, as that honor for me goes to MDCI Chypre Palatin. I know Ambre Precieux is a holy grail amber of Sebastian at The Perfume Guy. Ashoka sounded promising with the fig, the bottle design and the perfumer, so I looked it up on Fragrantica. The fig is fig leaf and fig tree notes, no fig fruit note listed. I look for the fig fruit. And the votes indicate it is an overwhelmingly feminine fragrance, despite the marketing. The floral notes suggest that too.
To me Chypre Palatin is not even an Amber! I'm on the AP team but I will give the Chypre Palatin a wear soon since I have that one too. To me that one makes me smell like an orangey kitten.. rather than of Amber..
@@sibyl333 To me Chypre Palatin is much more of an amber than a Chypre. Frankly I can't even detect a Chypre bergamot-oakmoss dominant structure when looking at the notes. When you look at the listed accord stack on Fragrantica, the amber accord is at the very top and is WAY dominant. Does that sound like a chypre? Someone wrote in the review section "Chypre Palatin is more a fruity floriental with chypre characteristics than a true chypre in my opinion". But even then, it has oakmoss in the base, but what really gives it chypre characteristics?
Great video. It hasn’t been too cold yet, so I haven’t worn too many fall scents. But, so far I have been wearing Plum In Cognac, Praline In Maple, Oud In Bourbon and Bread In Chestnut….all by Scents Of Wood. I have also worn Moon Glory and look forward to wearing Hypnotizing Fire by the HARMONIST. I have worn Silky Woods by Goldfield & Banks. I have worn Apex by Roja. And some designers like Le Male Le Parfum and Gentleman Givenchy Pour Homme Reserve Privé. And also L’Eau D’Issey Pour Homme Noir Ambre. Also, Sundowner by Andy Tauer.
I still haven’t smell Scents of Wood but I find their names to be super tempting and can’t wait to try them! Loved your picks and so glad you liked the video
Hello Ashley, My last full bottle purchase was Hermes Ambre Narguile and I love it! It wears close to the body, but lasts 8 hours in my skin. I would like to check out the Arquiste Indigo Smoke and Serge Lutens Chergui. The ambers, incense, tobacco, and spice fragrances shine in the very cold months of the year (in my opinion). Thanks for your video! - Jenn
Hi Ashley😊 i would like to sample all of the fragrances that you mentioned. I think I will start with Indigo Smoke as I can get the sample from Bloom Perfumery here where I live. I already own one fragrance by Arquiste and sampled 4 others😊 When it comes to scents I will be wearing this fall- so far I’ve been reaching for Gold Myrrh Absolute by Carolina Herrera the most. I find it sweet and mysterious but never too much or too strong. The other perfume I still use is …Terre d’hermes edt mixed with one/two sprays of Zen by Shiseido- this is for when the weather is warmer…. Thank you for your video and inspiration ❤️👋
Hi Ashley, great choice for this fall! Tried to get a sample of INDIGO SMOKE, but unfortunately they don't deliver to Germany. So I'll try AMBRE PRECIEUX and ASHOKA. I'm a big amber fan and I love warm and cozy fragrances all the year long, but that's no wonder if you live in Germany ;-) Love your channel and wish you good luck with your own coming parfumes.😊

Perfect timing as always! I have recently sampled chergui after you recommended it a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it!!! I am currently debating whether to get a bottle of Chergui or L'Air du Desert Marocain by Tauer :)
I would suggest to do it asap, as it is not so widely available anymore. I got a backup bottle this year, just in case. Chergui is a melancholic tobacco perfume with the most beautiful hay note.

You are hands down the best fragrance reviewer, super refined and an amazing taste, thank you for talking about this gems
It’s so refreshing to hear a fall fragrance list where I wasn’t able to predict 2/3rds of the selection (as much as I like Gris Charnel). Thank you!
Couldn’t agree more! A lot of the youtube creators are focused on “trendy” perfumes..

I have a sample of Indigo Smoke based upon and earlier video review you provided. It’s full bottle worthy
The fragrances that are wearing the most this fall are Herod, Chergui, Musc Ravager, Mandragola, and Noir de Noir by TF.
Ashoka is a gem! Love it too!

Anybody know which Bvlgari tea-based fragrance she's referring to at 07:45?

Great list, Ashley.
Ashley, what do you think about Side Effect by Initio?
Such a beauty you are!! Thank you for your list.
Thank you for your kind words Sean
What are your thoughts about Hermes Voyage Parfum? I love this scent and I consider should I buy this scent.
Great review. I hope to find some samples of these
Thank you Joseph!

I would go for Chergui. I have it since 3 and half years and itnis so beautiful especially at winter and night occasions

@@LetsArion always welcome. Yes indeed you can feel a smoked hay, and it is not a dry fragrance. It gives you energy in a classy way
Haven’t heard of any of these. Where would I buy them?
Chergui has me confused. My new bottle is so powdery in the opening and into the mid.
Chergui has been on my list for years now.
It’s so unique and truly a beauty. Let me know your thoughts when you try it!
Get it now. Its discontinued. I think.
