Becki, we NEED to see how you even organize, edit and decide on how to make these edits. As a fellow editor I am just blown away every single time on the work in both filming these AND editing them. What a monumental story to have to sift through! I mean you have so many cameras filming simultaneously! You deserve a streamy award!
Aw thanks so much!!
Would love even a sneak peak into the process. I’m newish to video and editing. And I struggle with a 1 minute video haha and Becki is out here putting feature films out faster than I can finish a reel. But I am absolutely inspired!
@@eddiealvarez9179she actually already made a vid about it more than a year back. Scroll through the channel and you'll find it
Name of the video where she explains it is "How I Edit My Videos | My Premiere
Pro Workflow For Beginners" posted in 2021 April 8th
I love this series! ❤
This is exactly the type of episode that belongs on some Nat Geo show. The content and editing are superb, and it deserves a bigger audience.
Thank you Becki for putting yourself through those flights to make this video, you were clearly petrified!
Thanks haha a lot of feelings and fears build up over a week of flying. Next time will be taking it easier I think 😂
Becki, I am so impressed with the amount of angles you pull together for this. A real professional look and feel, but knowing it’s all you is mind blowing! Congrats on another fantastic series! 👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you!
Thanks so much dude, means a lot! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Becki and Chris, your storytelling in this series is truly exceptional. The audio design, including the music and voiceover work, is nothing short of outstanding. It's evident that your hard work and passion shines through in everything that you have produced. See you next week! 🚁
Thank you that means a lot! It was fun doing voice over for this one, definitely want to try it again
40+ minutes but it felt like 20 since it was soo good. @@BeckiandChris
This is the best episode you created. It seems to be a tv-documentation!!! So professional. Love it, thank you let us all be part of your adventure ❤❤❤
Having flight anxiety myself, I can only say that Becky was really brave in this one. I’m sad this series is going to end but I’m looking forward to new projects as well.
Thank you! Definitely got a lot of exposure therapy on this trip lol!
I absolutely love your production quality! Watching these videos makes me forget that this is "just a RUclips" channel, and not a major studio production.
😭 that means a lot!
Epic cross countries are the best. They always remain with you. My personal one ( to date) was an An-2 I purchased as a fresh rebuild in Poland. Did the test flying and hit the road to Norway, then Iceland, Greenland, Goose Bay and Nova Scotia. Hand flying a big ol biplane over the ocean. I never saw one in person until I saw the one I bought. Prior to it's rebuild, it hadn't flown in a long period. Anxiety at times, yup, especially past points of no return where you're committed to destination.
Congrats on your personal cross country journey !
Best episode yet! Nothing has made me want a pilot's license more than watching this.
Golden Gate Bridge shot bridge was so cool! 😮
A highlight for us for sure!
1020 hour gyroplane (x between STOL & helicopter!! LOL) pilot here ...I SO relate to all Trent has to say.... I have wanted to "fly like an eagle" since I was a toddler ! Had my first aircraft lesson & flight in a gyro in 2011 - hooked & total passionate "experimental" builder/pilot ever since!
Becki, your honesty is so valuable in this video. I'm damn sure that I would feel exactly the same. Massive kudos
20:26 Ahhh the pain of ol' 'merican freedom units.
Love the series guys! Inspires me to get a heli license one day.
Also the pass, is crazy wild. It was amazing to see the footage of it from your viewpoint. We drive 80 and drive in those mountains so much it’s like daily exposure. We forget how incredible these mountains are here and the beauty of the Sierras sometimes. Driving 80 over the pass in winter is wild and scary sometimes.
Watching Chris grab the egg was priceless.
WOOHOO! Congrats on 500! Side note… I literally hear *“November three-zero-zero whiskey zulu”* in my head randomly throughout the week 😂🚁
Thank you!!!! Hahaha love it
Your storytelling is fantastic. These could be on Netflix or something. I can’t imagine The amount of hours you must’ve spent editing this project. Truly an underrated channel. Great work you two I’m enjoying the ride!
Thank you so much! I wish there was some way to calculate the exact time spent, that would be neat to know!
Someone needs to come up with a heat sink for the ipad for you. Or maybe that is a video series for you all to make. I just love these series so much. Thank you for taking us along.
There are some on the market and one by xnaut tailored for aviation, in the southwest dealing with electronics overheating is a common problem.
Aww, you didn't show Devil's Bunker, Egg Rock (where there's an original WWII radar station, not that anyone would know), and Devil's Slide, and Fort Funston where the hang gliders launch, and the Beach Chalet, and the Cliff House, and Angel Island. Still spectacular, and a long day flying. I used to go to the diner at Half Moon Bay. Pillar Point, which is under the approach end to that airport also where we went for crabs during Dungeness crab season, buying them straight off the boat is the best way to make sure you get the good ones. And then randomly stayed in Stockton of all places, a little further on you could have landed at Auburn and gone to Crooked Lane Brewing. Visiting Trent Palmer has to have been a blast.
Blows me away how well made this series is. It could easily be on Netflix or something like that
Thank you for calling it San Luis and not San Louie! This has been a wonderful series, looking forward to the rest.
Were you going hand held for all those shots of the landscapes from within the helicopter? Incredible.
Another amazing episode. Landing at KHAF made me smile, it was the first flight sim airport I visited on Flight Unlimited 2 back in the early 00's when we got the first family PC, and have flown in to it in every sim I have had since. I really want to visit it in real life, preferrably flying myself in. Bit of a pipe dream at the moment (major concerns about travelling to the US, me being trans and all).
The scenery is superb and flying low over the beach, UNDER the Golden Gate, holy crap! I never expected to be able to do something like that.
Trent seems like a decent chap (I had gotten that impression from his YT channel), I'm rather envious of his house and runway!
Honestly I just wanted to give Becki a hug after that, you put yourself through the wringer thats for sure,
Hope you get to visit sometime soon! ❤️
Becki did so well. Love these videos
Awesome. What madness allows you to fly legally UNDER the Golden Gate? This is your best video. Well done and thanks for sharing.
I've been one of those "paragliders out on the water" many times. That was Mussel Rock Park (aka "The Dumps") which is one of the best flight areas in the area. I have multiple videos, on my channel including "Paragliding Mussel Rock toward San Francisco - Golden Gate Views!" for a taste of what it is like.
This is my new favorite aviation channel...your production values are great, you're not constantly trying to sell stuff, and it's genuinely really interesting and fun to live vicariously through y'all
Guys, I just love watching your adventures, but I could just as easily watch you painting a wall with the same level of enjoyment. You make me want to start making videos again. ❤ thanks for being you.
I just wanted to hug Becki all through that (in a non-creepy way of course).
What a trip, adventure and my God can these guys throw down as documentary makers!!
Thank you!!! It was one for the books for sure!
Excellent job at showing a human side to flying. This should be a Discovery etc channel show. Pure truth and no drama. Thanks for taking the time, again excellent!
The beauty of the west is just beyond words. Yeah, west coast beat east coast anytime (coming from east coast dude).
Just watched this again. . Becki, your fear at times is palpable, like a video I watched recently of an experienced skydiver whose canopy tangles. The viewer feels the terror watching his GoPro video as he plummets. But, it is knowing what to do that allows him to free and save himself at the last moment. Fear is in the unknown. Danger is in the unknown. With the person in the middle of a fearful situation, it is only knowledge that makes the difference. Panic is replaced by calm, danger is replaced by solution. Your wonderful interview with your bush pilot friend Trent, touched on this. He talks about his fear of heights, now he’s on incredible flying adventures.
All this to say, what a great series it would be, watching you, with the same fears, the same ‘I don’t have the noodle for that stuff,’ the ‘I don’t trust myself,’ lack of confidence, probably shared by the majority of your viewers,… as you earn your pilots license. You’ve already picked up so much being Chris’ navigator. And you couldn’t have a more conscientious and detail oriented prep guy than Chris. Trent put it well, the knowledge and taking control completely changed his fear. Think about how it would change your experience on these amazing adventures.
You could do it. ✌🏼🙂
Chris…the Egg Whisperer, Priceless!
Thank you Becki and Chris and Trent. What a wonderful couple of days. I have had the most wonderful time, flying with you and listening to the informative banter along the way. Of course Trent's hangar is now complete, and your landing skid has probably been erased in the final completion. Never mind, we know about it. Thank you all.
Hey Guys - Have been following since your beginning (almost😉). Loved this epic adventure, love how Becky shares her planning process. Somehow, I missed this episode - when you’re in my backyard! Half Moon Bay is our playground, a lovely community- we hope you’ll visit again and stay longer😘
Been there, flown all that. Cool.
Can't believe you guys stopped in Auburn! That's my hometown! There are a couple of awesome breweries next door to the airport if you ever find yourself back there again.
Another great installment in the series. Those STOL planes look so fun. Sad you didn't get to make it to Utah. We want to get down there next summer with our camper.
Cant believe y’all were sooo close to me 😂😂 glad y’all enjoyed SF and Stockton
THanks /Merci for the trip . Cheers Guys
Another masterpiece! My 2 favourite aviation RUclipsrs! Both great creators!
Everything again so well told. Way to go Becki and Trent overcoming your anx and fears to create these stories.
❤❤❤❤❤🚁➕🛫 looking forward to more!
Truckee is my home airport, so cool to see it in your flight plan!
I Really enjoy this kind of long form content, thanks for making it. Everything is just so well made that the 43 minutes went by really fast.
So excited to see SLO airport on your way to Reno. J is from SLO and we live in Reno! As usual the best visuals and story. Seriously love your series!
Absolutely awesome video! Glad you got to see our local playground! Looking forward to the video down the backside of the Sierra's.
That was Epic. Such a cool collab!!! You guys have an incredible way with story-telling. Super captivating! Cheers friends!
Thanks so much! It was a very memorable part of the trip, had a ton of fun (despite being shit baked for half of it 😂)
Hahah, our buddy brought us up in a Cessna 172 last year and I got so damn nauseous, I seriously applaud your ability to film while swaying around up there. Blahhh lol @@BeckiandChris
Oh gosh I feel that, small planes make me so sick too especially on longer flights 🤢
the production, the story telling, the editing, the cinematography. Top. Notch. I love every part of this, it is an awesome series, I'll be sad to see it end, but excited for the next phase.
Amazing shot under the bridge! Such an amazing series, thank you for putting it together and sharing it with us. 🙏
My favorite episode! Becki's face was priceless at some points lol
37:40 was like the start of a spy show or something LOL
What a small world! I cannot believe you met Trent out in Reno. I have been following both of your journeys for a long time and hope to aspire similar dreams. Chris/Becki, thank you for your channel, I have learned so much about flight planning and airspace due to you. Please keep the videos coming!
Just want to say how much I'm enjoying the series. Both the story, and the editing. Thank you for sharing.
Long time watcher, first time caller. Love this series. I did my flight training a couple years back in a Top Cub and got my Private Pilot Cert right over the hill from Trent at Flying Eagle Airpark where my family lives. (Next to the glider port you guys flew over) Landed on Dead Cow before I even had my cert! Incredible country but it teaches you to respect the afternoon winds and the intenseness of the Sierra Nevadas, especially in a tail wheel. Can’t wait to keep watching this series. Ya’ll are the best.
Thanks so much! Yeah lots to think about when flying in the area that we don’t have to really think about in NY!
Great video! Awesome collaboration between 2 of my favourite RUclipsrs!
SLO (like slow) is awesome glad you got to stop there.
Becky-good for you! You may not have a passion for aviation which may add to your fear, but you have a passion for story telling. And you have a passion for Chris and his passions. Great combo for all of us.
I love videos that make me smile. 🙂
Just….’effing incredible!!!! Becki is hilarious as always.
Awesome video! It’s was so great seeing Reno and Lake Tahoe, such a beautiful place!
I’m really enjoying this series. I enjoy aviation vicariously through you guys, Trent, and a few others… thanks so much for sharing your adventures, how you feel, the decisions you make… the whole thing. Great story telling. Thank you!
So glad you got to experience the Reno/Tahoe area and all the Sierras. Thanks for taking me home to the Carson Valley as a recognized almost every dirt road below you and knew exactly where you were. Amazing Series!
Trents video with you guys brought me to your channel and im so happy it did. Great video!
Thanks for coming over!
The thing about her being scared you didn't talk about... shes doing it anyways! "Just do it scared!"
Cool to see you had stopped at my local airport in San Luis Obispo.
Its always great to see two channels I follow come together! Another great episode!
Great adventure and storytelling guys, well done. 🚁
Hey @theoceancleanup has their river system in place as Becki and Chris fly the LAX 150 ft transition. Pretty cool! @2:45
Absolutely love the Mavlands airport tour 🤣🤣🤣
😂 one of the most unique airports from the series I think!
@@BeckiandChris felt like this is MTV & welcome to my crib I mean airport lol 👏🏻
@@ashlienicolewahlersoh 100% 😂
I lived near San Luis Obispo so it was super cool to see places I recognize as well others areas around California. I've driven over the Golden Gate but definitely never flown under it! Loving this series!
Your whole trip across America has been fantastic to follow, right up there with Mauzy. I think your video work is top notch: the late afternoon flight to Atlanta, landing at Roy's and then in the dunes, and under GG bridge just looked awesome. Well done, you.
Loved your interview with Trent Palmer, whose videos I've been watching for years.
YO I HAD NO IDEA YOU COULD FLY UNDER THE BRIDGE, felt very GTA
So cool that you guys and Trent got to hang out. This was definitely one of my favorite episodes. I hate knowing this series is coming to an end.
I live in the Santa Cruz Mountain Range just above HMB. It is basically always socked in with fog around 1500-2000 ft, but then it clears up right above that so it feels like I live on islands in the clouds. It's pretty great, but not for flying. Also the updrafts off the bluffs at the coast is *real*. The single scariest moment of my life was going around a corner bridge on Hwy 1 on my motorcycle and having the extremely sudden feel of weightlessness combo'd with a strong crosswind and a fatal drop on either side of the road. That's a nope from me.
Oh gosh that sounds so scary!!
Khaf. Yay. I got fuel at that pump and pee at the portable 😂... great video editing.
Some cool sights and cool shots to I bet!
This whole series is beautifully made. A thorough joy to watch. I make sure I have the time to watch it, no rushing these episodes. Huge congrats to you both on a great job.
Kudos Becki for not letting your anxiety hold you back from doing cool ish!
🙏🏼🙏🏼
RUclips was made for these kinds of content. Thank you ❤
Thoroughly enjoying these videos.
the view... so nice.. and i see dogs i happiee
Waow waow waow ! Sooo good
wow very nice experience friend
Respect Becki and Thank you very much for this great video, it feels like you are watching a series on Discovery
Wow! You guys made it to my neck of the woods, SoCal. I Got my wings at Long Beach (KLGB) I've done a lot of flying up and down the coast. It was great seeing familiar terrain in your mini documentaries. I've been following Trent on his channel so, seeing you two together was a treat. Now I can skip over to his channel to see what he put together. Love your channel. Keep'm coming!
Oh awesome! It was so cool to fly the coast! Enjoy Trent’s channel, it’s awesome!
Like my fave tv show from days gone by...Ohhhh Becki and Chris are on! You guys have done an awesome job on this series...keep up the great work!
Congratulations!!
You two knock this shit out of the park!!!! Such a good series and I'll hate when it's over!!
So good, thank bec you did so well. Great shots and flowing story.
So good!! The scenery was stunning. So proud of you Becki for conquering the bush plane!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Awesome video. I love seeing Trent, and you guys get to fly together, considering your two channels are solid in my top 5 channels to watch. Hope to see you 3 get together again soon.
Great! Video, Thank you so much for taking us on this epic adventure with you! Anyone know the name of the fuel tank and system Trent had his Avgas in?
The best! Thank you!
Beautiful
That's so cool you all got to be at the last Reno Air Races Pylon School before they movie it somewhere else. Hope you got to see some cool stuff flying around while you were there.
Unfortunately they were grounded due to weather while we were there ☹️
@@BeckiandChris Aww. I guess to your point of the video, that's the life of general aviation. Still, loved the video!
Love that you all can talk about your fears. Stay safe...
It was very interesting for me to hear Trents flying fears!
I’m absolutely loving this series. It’s inspiring me to finish editing the days of motorbike touring I’ve shot but not uploaded. I’m also getting a sense of what I should have shot better 😂
When you are run and gun, what are you doing for sound? Mic on the hot shoe?
Yesss get er done and up! We just use a Rode video micro on the hot shoe!
@@BeckiandChris thanks. That’s what I’ve been using as well. I think I may just need to get better at how I shoot 😃
I have been experimenting with the enhance audio in premiere beta.
Anyway, the key thing is for me to get uploading.
I’m always in aaahhhh watching your content. Also more amazing to have a total internet stranger be as passionate as you and become such great friends. It showed in every interaction, just beyond amazing🖤
Superb episode, some stunning scenery. Amazing how little 'runway' the bush plane requires! Loved the comedy moments and the flight under the Golden Gate Bridge was superb!
Awesome video as always! The two craft side by side seeing Trent going sideways, I said "this is so sick" almost the same time as Chris did in the video. 😝 Jinx.
Amazing to see San Luis Obispo as a jet port now. I got my PPL there in 1983 when it was just a single strip, non-towered. Great storytelling and video.
So interesting when the airports get built out hey? Thanks!
