- I think it's about time we bring the rockets of Dublin back... and what a way to bring them back with DT7 absolutely charging through the streets of Dublin with her intoxicating exhaust sounds! DT7 is definitely my pick of the bunch, even though DT10 is a hair or two faster off the line thanks to its faster reacting turbo, DT7 wins me over with its character. The exhaust is music to my ears, blowing at certain revs, and the kickdown works fabulously boasting immense acceleration, even when the bus has the maximum amount of passengers on board.
Here we are on route 39A, Departing the UCD Campus heading towards the Blanchardstown Shopping Centre, watch as DT7 shows what a ZF trident can really do when the foot is welded to the floor, way better than a Voith Trident!
Specs:
Chassis: Dennis Trident II
Engine: 260bhp Cummins ISC
Gearbox: 5 speed ZF 5HP502C
Body: Transbus ALX 400
Fleet class number: DT7 [Harristown Garage]
Registration: [ 03-D-10007 ]
Enjoy! Авто/Мото
Such an amazing thrash
Watched this about 20 times that Speed!!
Brilliant vid! Sounds amazing! Even without kickdown the exhaust makes it sound epic!
ALX400-B727 [AV Man] Epic sounds indeed my friend, I was planning on chucking in some normal set offs through the gears, just to compare the difference between that and kickdown, but the driver was lead footed all the way!
Dude i'm so sorry but I have accidentally deleted your recent comment on my latest video, i've writen a reply to you in the comments section of that video just so you know,
Thanks dude,
Tom
TheIrish RoadSurfer No don't worry about it man! It's so easy to accidentally delete with when you think you're pressing reply!
What an absolute monster, best bus in the fleet it's gotta be!
Couldn't have given her a better name my friend, what a monster indeed! Thanks for watching pal, loved your video of DT2 by the way.
Cheers! sadly no kickdown on DT2 but it's a DT I ain't complaining!
Great video!!
Buidee frankswood Thank you very much! :-)
It looks like a old bus but the engine was awesome and amazing keep it up
8.3 litre Cummins ISC engine, ya can't beat it ;-)
the old buses were much better -the new sg buses have a five litre engine which would't pull you out of bed.
Awesome editing!
Thank you for your kind words!
Your welcome, our pre-2006 vehicles here at WM really fly, just like this awesome bus.
Awesome!
I think all DTs are ZFs. Nice to bring DBs back though.
Indeeed they are all ZF. In fact, nearly every single bus that Dublin Bus owns has a ZF gearbox, apart from AV398, which has a 4 speed Voith DIWA.
I know AV398 has a Voith and I really would prefer Dublin Bus to bring the Voiths back. A lot of RVs had them and they were just fabulous to listen to.
They were indeed, lovely buses those were.
So these had a faster engine in them??
260bhp, 8.3L, 24 valve Cummins ISC engine. Absolute powerhouses. 💪🏼😈
Crazy ass exhaust, is it straight piped?
I know right? Gorgeous isn't it? I honestly have no idea hahaha
Or maybe the cat/muffler's worn out
7367Network Yeah possibly, although they are well maintained, they are 13 years old after all!
you see when the bus is downshiting into gear 2 and the clutch unlocks straight away its actaully changing into gear 1 somewhere there not when the bus just completely stops. decent video tho the bus sounds great
You are absolutely correct, back in the day when I edited this, my knowledge on the ZF Ecomat shift pattern wasn’t as good as it it now, but yes you are 100% correct 😊
@@ThePlymouthRoadSurfer yeah i get you thats totally fine you still knew more about it more than other ppl im still learning more and more about buses and how they work as the days go on
