I feel like the 4 train is the life line of the nyc subway. It takes you to the Bronx, yankee stadium, Wall Street etc. And it has access to great transfers too. I used to go to my grandmas house by taking the 4 train from Bedford park blvd to Brooklyn bridge city hall and transfer to the M train to fresh pond rd in Queens. It’s def a long ride but it was worth it. I miss nyc.

Thanks to my Grandmas neighborhood by Junius St growing up I loved looking at the 3 and 4 trains passing by on the El, the R62 was my all time favorite train model that I brought a model train of the same exact train now I can see it everyday at my showcase I also have a R142 model 🚂 also 😎 👍🏻
I love the (4) train I actually live on kingsbridge rd so I take it regularly.

Serious speed in the Joralemon tunnel and during the express runs (except 86th to 125th, not sure what happened there). Also coming in HOT at most stations.
There some operators who come in stations hard and pull the brakes too hard as well especially on the 2 line

Between express rides up and down Manhattan, or trips to Yankee Stadium, and even the last stop in Woodlawn to transfer to the #20 bus for the cheap ($1.50) way to and from Yonkers Raceway, I've done a ton of time on this train, and of course the 59th Street escalator. Also took it to Fulton a lot to get the A to Aqueduct for a nice $0.75 ride.

Ive only rode the 4 once, I barely even take the IRT because where I live in Queens its only lettered lines, except the 7 but Ive really only taken it 5 maybe six times, and I usaully take the E or F.

Another question why isn't the 3 trains r142 version of itself not show up as often as the 2 4 and 5 I've only seen it once it the past 10 years I've been taking the subway
The 3 train uses R62 cars ONLY. On some occasions, the trains will be swapped out. But until the R262s roll in, the R62s will stay on the 3.

I got a question y do the wheels on the r142a sound like that its like a different sound then from the r142.
Uh, you mean the propulsion? The R142A was manufactured by Kawasaki in Japan while the R142 was built by Bombardier in the US or Canada, both companies used different propulsion systems thus the reason they sound different.

If so, you wouldn't be in that area on a mandatory basis...SMH...and then the 10 O'Clock news comes on...some puppet tries to hack this account for momentary gain & like the toy pig he or she is, the decoys come in & it gets dealt with w/o it breaking...'cause if it breaks, where's the joy in using that shhh! again? (LOL! An inside joke, mind you...)
