Isn't that something BART's maintenance manager should be doing?
yeah, once a year! lol
This is awesome.
Ignore the negative comments on here. I'm just glad that some people are enthusiastic about metro systems.
Imma try this in Philly
Fun and showing gratitude towards a service that those who use it are tremendously grateful for
Its better than having nothing and such a blessing
Thank You!
"There's no Guinness record... yet" yeah as soon as you pay them money to send one of their "judges" out then there will be a record.
Do the NYC MTA next Bros!
As the guy wearing the 1 train shirt during the record breaking attempt, I wanted to but it’s over 22 hours…that’s a bit too much even for me!
woah thats a challenge
does he not have class work?
Smart Berkeley student
I love good PR for transit
The real achievement will be riding the whole way without getting stabbed.
i guess they made it! would be interesting to know if they caught any yelling or fighting or maybe the only weirdos were nodding off.
Oh stop.... you know that isn't true. I've been on BART hundreds of times, never seen a knife, gun, needle, or anything else you fear mongers like to pretend is super common. Keep spreading Doomer misinformation though.... The people who don't actually live here LOVE to hear about how bad it is, hence the upvotes.
BART is substantially safer than the vast majority of Bay Area cities. BART in general is a pretty damned safe system, especially compared to other US transit systems like NYC, DC, or Chicago.
You trolls keep trying to push this weird "BART is dangerous" propaganda, but it sounds completely insane to anyone who has ridden BART recently.
@@stevez5134 What are you even talking about, bud? Have you even been on BART?
at this rate, the chance of getting stabbled is probably less likely than getting into a fatal car crash
I already won!
First - slow news day ? 🤣🤦♂️
Chief communication officer working from home and watching youtube?? Huuhh!!
The homeless ride the entire line 6 times a day
haha exactly!!! give those homeless a camera and see what they do! lol
BART has been exceptionally clean since they introduced police foot patrols. Get some new propaganda that sounds more realistic.
Again ??
They should make an express line rather than having them all regional (local) lines.
Unfortunately, there is no double track for an express line like they have in the New York Subway.
BART is by definition an express service. The station spacing is already a lot wider than on the express trains in NYC. How much more express to you want it to be? It's already more similar to the LIRR than the NYC Subway in terms of the type of service it offers.
BART, all of BART, is by definition an express system and is wickedly fast for urban rail. It regularly does 80 mph and is about 3x faster than other systems like the Paris Metro and 1.5x faster than the NYC Subway. It's faster than driving even without traffic, and a good 2x faster than driving in serious traffic. Normal subways are usually about 2x slower than driving and that's considered a good result.
If anything, we need to add a lot more Muni and VTA local metro and light rail lines to fill-in the giant gaps that BART leaves between its stations.
UC Berkeley Geeks
Gee…lots of homeless people have achieved this before
but but student loans
OMG look at how EMPTY the trains and platforms are LMAO
BART carried 150-180k people every day last week.
Guess they got tired of camping in Sproul Plaza.
What a joke, riding the entire NYC system would be impressive, but this is silly.
As the guy wearing the 1 train shirt during the record-breaking attempt, I would love to break the NYC record one day, but the current record is over 22 hours long so I might put a pause on that for now...gotta work my way up to that!
Doubt you could make a record by riding Bart…after all delays is a massive thing…
It never delays for me. And it didnt for them either. So..... how are you doubting? when there's video evidence lol
@@stevengold I can tell you don't ride the system regularly. When I used it to commute there were delays on a daily basis.
Bandwagoning @@stevengold
@@mrsleep0000 By how long, 3 minutes? Try living in 95% of the US cities where the bus comes once an hour, and a delay means waiting ANOTHER hour lmao
@@mrsleep0000 BART has like a 97% on-time rating after they got rid of the old trains. BART delays are not a thing anymore.
😂 hobos get around faster
There are no hobos on BART.
@@TohaBgood2 yes yes there is. Hobos come in many different ways
@@Society2day Nonsense. BART has been pretty damn clean for about a year now.
I'm a hobo on bart
@@Society2day They'll get you too eventually, bud.
sounds like a big waste of time
