    Isn't that something BART's maintenance manager should be doing?

    Ignore the negative comments on here. I'm just glad that some people are enthusiastic about metro systems.

      Oh stop.... you know that isn't true. I've been on BART hundreds of times, never seen a knife, gun, needle, or anything else you fear mongers like to pretend is super common. Keep spreading Doomer misinformation though.... The people who don't actually live here LOVE to hear about how bad it is, hence the upvotes.

      BART is substantially safer than the vast majority of Bay Area cities. BART in general is a pretty damned safe system, especially compared to other US transit systems like NYC, DC, or Chicago.
      You trolls keep trying to push this weird "BART is dangerous" propaganda, but it sounds completely insane to anyone who has ridden BART recently.

    They should make an express line rather than having them all regional (local) lines.

    • @RaymondHng
      @RaymondHng 17 дней назад +1

      Unfortunately, there is no double track for an express line like they have in the New York Subway.

    • @TohaBgood2
      @TohaBgood2 11 дней назад

      BART is by definition an express service. The station spacing is already a lot wider than on the express trains in NYC. How much more express to you want it to be? It's already more similar to the LIRR than the NYC Subway in terms of the type of service it offers.
      BART, all of BART, is by definition an express system and is wickedly fast for urban rail. It regularly does 80 mph and is about 3x faster than other systems like the Paris Metro and 1.5x faster than the NYC Subway. It's faster than driving even without traffic, and a good 2x faster than driving in serious traffic. Normal subways are usually about 2x slower than driving and that's considered a good result.
      If anything, we need to add a lot more Muni and VTA local metro and light rail lines to fill-in the giant gaps that BART leaves between its stations.
