      Thanks Blaire! I 💗 you!!
Funny story... about a year ago I was on the ask transgender reddit (concerned parent of a trans identifying daughter here:-)).... a young person was on there asking for recommendations on who to have his mom watch for good information about trans issues. He mentioned his mom had been watching you, and several ppl were saying he should give her OTHER ppl to watch and that you were horrible and a transphobe.
      Ha ha suckers!!
Those comments are what piqued my interest in checking you out. Silver lining to the hater clouds my dear!!

Oh, and I love Shapeshifter too💕 I'm sorry for the losses he's had, truly heartbreaking.
I want to tell him something in case he hasn't heard of it.
Oxytocin is the bonding/love hormone that is produced by many physical activities, including sex. It sounds like Shape has been robbed of his ability to orgasm or even enjoy sex. BUT he can still get the feel good emotions that we get after sex by physical closeness, massages, etc. There are other "feel good" hormones too (dopamine, serotonin, endorphins). When ppl talk about the potential risks of SRS and it's impact on sexual function i feel like they leave out the part about how sex gives us both physical AND EMOTIONAL well-being and without it.... we can suffer in multiple ways. I grieve for the loss Shapeshifter has and I hope someone can help guide him in ways to nuture his body and his mind.... and how he can achieve the feelings of intimacy and love and bonding even with his limitations 💗💗💗

If I had to formulate maybe the most important question to ask a feminine biological male who wants to transition it would be this:
Are you transitioning because of gender dysphoria or are you depressed that as a feminine man there seems to be certain men you can’t date and you want to date them and you think if you transition you would be able to…for me this has to be asked. It’s the elephant in the room.
We know gay men generally are attracted to masculinity. So clearly feminine gay men are desiring to be loved by a man who is attracted to your femininity not your masculinity so your odds of finding a gay man who is attracted to you is low. So clearly you need to find straight men who once you had a sex change wouldn’t care…or men who like both biological woman and trans woman.
I can say that there are masculine men like myself who I guess you could say are bisexual or just those that are attracted to femininity. It’s funny cause you called the men that didn’t want you to get the full sex change tyranny chasers. But in sense that shows the sense of self hatred that is buried. The ones that are genuinely are attracted to who you are as you are just those with a fetish. And yet you want the guys who would only like you if you chopped your dick off. That just shows you how our society makes people hate those that have your back and are drawn to those that don’t.

First thing you should understand, hospitals make a lot of money on trans procedures, post op, and especially on drugs because we get financial incentives from Pharma corps. Matt Walsh said after he released his documentary “What is a Woman” that one of the doctors that he interviews in his movie had cut off the genitals of a 16 year old boy. How is a child able to even make these decisions that are life altering, including never being able to produce children after that. What child even knows if he wants kids later in life? I knew that without even being a nurse. That's one argument I make for sex reassignment surgery. You are literally fighting your own body and will have to do that every day for the rest of your life. Think about that for a moment. Normal every day people wrestle with their own minds about reasons to NOT get a surgery for normal medical conditions because we know that ALL surgery is risky. Surgery is always the LAST resort and the only choice at the end. When we go under anasthetic we tell our loved ones that we love them and we say a little prayer to ourselves because we HOPE we wake up!!! Ugh! People are duped and scammed into this experimental lifestyle. There is no historical data to backup the long term safety and consequences of all these procedures, chemical or sugical.

The "hole" that is made is not like that. I've had SRS done by a good surgeon. While when done badly it can go as wrong as Shape Shifters it's not always that way. IF the surgeon did the job right it's not a "hole" bloody and scabby ans scaring over or whatever. I've said your words almost verbatim. I occasionally share detransitioning stories because of exactly that. How can people make an actual informed choice when the other side of the coin is rarely, if ever, heard? As well as when they are, they are most often demonized and hated within the trans world. Body dysmporphia is real, but not nearly on the scale we are seeing it. It's truly sad and disheartening what we're seeing happen to people.

I was close to medically transitioning in 2014-2015. It was too easy to get on hormones. Scarily easy. When I decided not to medically transition (for a myriad of reasons), the therapist kept pushing for it. Edit: This person didn’t have surgery. They just went on hormones. Hormones that the doctor told them would be safe for them. They also began sweating constantly afterwards and their back became a giant sore. I don’t talk out of my ass. But clearly y’all do. I’m not arguing that there is not personal responsibility, but if you’re not being told the risks associated with something, or if we don’t know the risks but say we do….. there’s another word for that. Lying.

Thank you for the compassionate interview and the insights gained from it. I find sadly though that the lessons learned here could only come from the experience as it occurred. He said himself that he didn’t listen to his parents. I find it hard to believe that if a doctor tried to talk him out of transitioning; at the time he would have called the doctor a transphobe and searched out the same affirming care doctors that he now realizes are doing harm. Hopefully a lot of people struggling with gender identity see this and the lesson sinks in for them before it’s too late. I feel for this person deeply and hope they are able to find happiness.

Every single person who enforces ideas like "men can't do this" or "women can't do that" is to blame, doesn't matter what side of the political spectrum it's coming from. We need to give people the freedom to self express how they choose without having to adopt a specific gender identity, and not ostracize them for it. I know this is an older video but I just saw it. I am a biological female and often fear speaking my thoughts but feel like I can safely express them here. First, thank you ShapeShifter for your honesty and your amazing bravery in telling it. I'm sorry we, as society, have failed you. You mentioned more research should be done (a year later and I don't think that has been done) but research on women's health, in general, is very lacking. For years medications were only studied on men and then physicians were told to just decrease the dose for women. Or that it was too hard to study women because our hormones made it too complicated. So I don't hold much hope in the medical community doing much research, especially on male-to-female transition and hormones and such. I am a middle-aged genetic female who is finished having children and I was not allowed to have my reproductive system removed until a physician deemed it medical necessity ( for reasons such as fibroids or cysts and even then they must be growing, changing or causing severe issues.) And if you are under 40, forget about even that most of the time. So I don't understand why we are allowing young people, and now KIDS to make a decision of this magnitude so lightly. Again, thank you for being honest about your experience. I hope that our society will wake up and see the damage we are doing to people with our rose colored descriptions of life after surgeries and hormones. You can change everything about yourself outwardly ,but what makes you YOU, which includes our demons and fears and traumas, don't go away because you removed a part of your body. Mental health issues cannot be corrected by anesthesia and surgery, and those actions can often exacerbate the very things we are running from. You are beautiful! Not because of your hair or nails or breasts....but because you are a human and your heart is full of love for others, shown by your brave statements to help others avoid the pain you have experienced. Thank you!!! And thank you Blair for being so open to showing the darker side of your community. You are also beautiful, in part, because of the truths you speak. ❤️

We need more people to talk about the negative side effects of transitioning. It is incredibly important to tell medical professionals what your biological situation is. It makes a huge difference in diagnosing issues. It's making an assumption without having all the variables. People seem to think in terms of "What's good for the goose, is good for the gander." That's not always the case. The doctors are becoming more money driven when it comes to optional trans surgery. I was born without vagina, cervix and a uterus. I’m a genetic female, I have working ovaries. My condition is called MRKH, and it falls under the intersex umbrella.
I had a neo vagina surgery 15 years ago. It left me with a dysfunctional vagina, and I’m still dealing with. Scarring is the problem. From what I know the success rate of such surgeries is quite low. I keep telling this to people but no one is listening.

My friend had surgery and committed suicide in June of 2021. All she wanted was to be loved. She was delusional and actually believed that at some point she could have babies. We would argue when I told her that physically that could never happen. I felt her problems were more mental but her so called therapist never addressed this and only confirmed her identity as a woman. I believe the truth crept up on her and ultimately she could not go back. They mutilated her and did nothing to help her after the surgery was botched. I miss my friend.
