- Floundering in Port Phillip Bay, targeting Flathead and Garfish mainly with a pole spear.
There was plenty of fish in the water making it a good night out!
If you would like to give this ago, all you need is a flounder light, waders and a pole spear to give it ago.

Is that spear legal? I remember my grandfather getting a large fine for a 3 prong spear in the 80's.

Done a fair bit of this in my time
I didn't see any flounder so its not a very good spot also 2 prongs only for flounder if you use what you blokes had you damage to fish 2 much and can't get them off the spear quick enough when they are in big numbers 👍

Only for pole spears. Spearguns can have as many prongs as you want. So as long as your pole spear has the rubber ring on the end (hawaian sling) it is legal to have more than two. I know it doesn't make sense but that's the law.
