That Gwynevere is 100% changing at some point. She is meant to be obscured with shadows and only real light comes from her back.
Yeah I wonder if the author plans to do that. I know he’s still working on it.
Now I understand why the author did not compare the Re-Re mod with the original (The mod is supposedly based on DS:PTDE), because it rarely gets the same art direction. This is more like some kind of realistic lightning with all the art direction stripped.
It's funny how he complains about the Remaster when his looks so much worse.
They managed to make the lava even more painful to look at

Very useful comparison. I find that the mod makes everything appear dull and unfinished. To be precise, it strips the game away from its original art direction in favor of worse colorimetry and scenery. Striking example: Gwynevere is overexposed and looks like Play-Doh, while the room itself completely lost its atmosphere and (dare I say) its visual story-telling.
This mod changes so much of the original artstyle. Although there are comparison photos of Remastered version and his mod on nexuspage but they dont do justice. The areas you showed specifically, clearly differentiates the two.
His Texture Overhaul mod is though quite nice. I would sugggest installing that only.
Really like a lot of the changes, but the one that starts at 0:57... hmm... kinda miss the glow of the light coming in on the right, ngl. Even DSO looks better. Still, will definitely be using this mod the next time I do a playthrough.

i wish i could customize mod so it does not affect lightening while only adding drawing objects far away in full scale
Nice video! Now I see that the Re-Remastered version simply has an identity of its own, I wouldn't say it's better than the original, but it's different and good in its own way

I'm going to be honest with this mod, the 1.0 release was very underwhelming, there are so many things that still are not complete and there are bugs here and there that massively hinder the experience for me, i would recommend waiting for the mod a bit longer until CRISPY over here can give us another great comparison video.

Unfortunately. The brightness and clarity clashes with DSR's cold and dying world.
