- At the halfway point of the series, Dara O Briain finds himself baffled by a quantity of milk, John Kearns does some elaborate skipping, Munya Chawawa does some elaborate jumping, and Fern Brady walks too slowly. Amid the carnage, Little Alex Horne attempts to offer sound advice to all five competitors but finds himself largely ignored.

Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.

Why is noone talking about Sarah's brilliance at EXACT timing on the walks! That was incredible! And how she poured the milk out! Brilliant!
Cause all she did was walk in a straight line, makes it way easier to time. The milk bit was definitely brilliant, though! She's def my favorite contestant this season.
Because she has occasional moments of brilliance but is mostly a dingbat. Take for example the “stone stepping”challenge where she repeatedly stepped off of the stones, held her hands above her waist multiple times and also missed stones.
Check 21:12 again she actually tried to do a bit of style, though they didn't care for it. She walked backwards on the moving floor and walked in place on the regular floor for a bit and still timed it perfectly. @@TheGrumbliestPuppy
Not sure how slowly walking, with the luggage on the wrong side, wrong leg lifts... are brilliant?

Out of all the contestants on this show, I think i would have the hardest time not laughing at John because he just looks like hes trying so hard in every task but every task is so hard for him. Alex covering his face with the clipboard so he doesnt laugh was so relatable
If he can be this successful in life, anyone can.
The fact that Sarah managed to break every single rule on the last one is impressive
I've come to really like Munya's sense of humor after watching these. He's very quick witted.

Oh Fern! One of the most lovable cast members ever. Her commentary with tears of embarrassment on the walkway task is one of the cutest, most relatable moment of the series. PS: The reaction of the others especially Dara when she says " I don't know what is real anymore" is everything!

She also didn't mirror, her bag was on the same side both walks.
16:13 Sarah is one of my all-time favorite contestants because she just seems so happy about everything, lol. Would've LOVED to see her in a series with James Acaster for contrast.
Sarah and Chris Ramsey would have been an amazing pair.

John accepts his blupses and poor outcomes with SUCH good grace. I truly respect him and liked him more and more as the episodes went on.
I was really confused when the milk task didn't feature anyone having lunch while waiting for the task to be opened. Only just realized that the same task has been set for the New Zealand edition of taskmaster without a timelimit and fewer utensils. They reached a record-breaking time of around 1.5 hours. xD
Went to go watch the clip from Taskmaster NZ after seeing this comment and I'm so thankful because it was amazing.
I knew the setup looked familiar.
David (the winner of the task in NZ) was so trusting...and it paid off !
Tbh this version was worse. I'm not sure why it has to be changed. I feel like changes to redone tasks never make them better.
They probably had a schedule and didn’t want to risk everybody taking hours.
John said "the sort of thing Alex would do" is say "he wouldn't open it", then ask "why didn't you open it"? I'm pretty sure Alex has never done anything like that before. In fact, I think the Assistant character has always been 100% honest, and almost always gives away the answers if you pay attention.
Exactly! My first thought was, "OK, they should definitely wait until the last minute." My second thought was that they should ask him if he would pour all the milk in the pot before opening it.
Strangely, the milk microwave dilemma is one of my favorite tasks to date

It’s from the nz taskmaster but slightly changed from the original so it’s still interesting even if you know the original
They probably changed it for time reasons since in the nz version it went on for ages.
I went down a rabbit hole about Dennis the Menace cause im american and that guy is not the one i grew up with. Apparently the british one and american one debuted in the same week and neither creator had knowledge of the other. Great minds think alike i guess?

I am also American and did the exact same thing 😂 the sources for the character were completely different and they are completely unrelated, yet both iconic in their own respective cultures, what a cool coincidence! 🙂

How come the judges or other competitors not notice that munya wasnt mirroring his action he had the bag in the same hand on both the aisle.
Agreed, but I don't mind because he was too far behind to win this season anyways.

After so many intros as "Little Alex Horne", I thought he was actually a small man. I found out today that he is 6'1".

The timed walk task confirmed: Fern Brady is a delight, the most precious bean, and must be protected at all costs.
Season 14 is up there with 2 and 7 for the best cast. Fern Brady is perfect for this show!
14 is the best. The panel are well matched and seem to really like each other, they just seem well matched but others sometimes just don’t gel.
I agree, Series 15 didn't work for me at all. One person had no ability to laugh at themselves, no humor. After the sensational Series 14, 15 was probably the worst season for me.

I’m sure other folk see a task and their brains go, “I know how I’d do that!” Well, for the match walk task I knew I’d sing a song to myself I’m consistent at and then have a couple landmarks on the side of the path. So I know that when I sing, “I look at your pants, I need a kiss.” I should be at the trash can. Right? Or am I crazy?
if the walkalator is moving during both lanes, I'd just stand on it (pretend walking) and for the second time I'd walk while holding onto the handrail from the other side.
@@jankisi That’s why they put the one minute time restriction on it. They say that the moving sidewalk takes around 1 minute 25 seconds to go through until then, so they wouldn’t be able to just stand there.
Dara has easily become one of my favorites. 🦄

Wasn't there something with Fern accidentally hurting him last episode?
Fern tortured Alex last episode by putting him in a tube, making him catch bananas in his mouth, and bunch of other stuff. Then at the end of the task she just walked away. It was funny. But at an awards ceremony Alex said after the task was over he fell over and got hurt. His arms were trapped so he couldn’t brace himself is my guess. It sounded like he face planted. I think he said he had a black eye and I’m guessing that is injury you see in the video.

My only issue with the lane-suitcase-walking task was that Munya's attempts weren't mirrored.
Chawawa killed me at the end when he finally figured out the feet and inches debacle.

@@TheGrumbliestPuppy it wasn’t just that he had an affair. He was shown to know the young man when he was still a preteen/teenager and had contact with him through social media. He eventually helped the young man get a position at his (Scofields) place of work. There is understandably accusations of grooming due to when they established a met and the subsequent relationship, the age gap, and the multiple power imbalances in their relationship among other things.

@@JayJay-17Sounds bad, but I'll never really get on board with this notion that "power imbalance" is some sort of problem in romantic relationships.
It implies we're all on some linear scale of "power", which isn't really the case - but also, straight women especially very obviously tend to be attracted to men with power (of some sort of another). For reasons that quite frankly make perfect sense.
But somehow it's a mark against someone if they pursue a relationship with someone they were in a position to help, lift up, protect, provide for, etc... Just don't make no sense. The world, and the sexual dynamics of people, is never gonna lack so-called "power imbalances". Women are never gonna stop pursuing men with power, who could be said to be more "powerful" than them - physically, financially, in terms of status or authority... whatever.
But also it's always more complicated than that too, and typically in these sorts of affairs both parties rely on each other for different things. The whole spice of romance comes from the reality that the two parties are not perfect equals, and the expectation that they should be or that that's the ideal is delusional.
But all that said I'm sure this particular affair was shady and immoral based on what's been posted here - obviously adultery is gravely immoral, as is grooming kids, as is... nevermind. But it's not the "power imbalance" that makes it immoral.
Fern is an absolute sweetheart ❤ certainly rooting for her .

The Taskmaster Gods really blessed us with Chris Ramsay and "No way!" last season and then Dara with "Wait, what?!" this season
so you could have dropped the microwaves on the ground, shove them close with your legs and proceed to hang above it with your arms and the bottles in hand. While you are there, you hopefully see the pan and figure out you can empty the bottles as well. You could even stand on the microwaves and rest the bottles on your shoulders!
Seems like dropping a microwave on the floor while it's on is an unnecessary risk for five points
