As you fill the bag everything starts to fit in place better, you could probably retry loading it with the stock pockets unless its working better for you this way.
Been putting my little mirror in a cardboard sleeve in my bag for 25yrs now and no problems either. I run cut off bits of pvc pipe, hot glued together at dividers in my Veto, works great. Van tour next???? :-)

It's an OT-XL or OT-LC. It's hard to tell with no bag beside it for comparison. Great video. I've heard these bags are the best Veto bag for installs.
