1981 I purchased mine and still running…made USA model 15101 many AC jobs..
you added an expansion tank on the cold line but there is a check valve coming out of the tankless so the expansion tank is not doing anything? As far as I can see. EDIT I think you said that is a strainer screen so I stand corrected. Do you still have a check valve on that cold line?
I have an opportunity to buy one of these for 20, it still works, for how long? That's the million dollar question. I'm researching what the damage would be if it were to take a dump. Are spare parts available??
What is the difference between the black CSST flexible gas line and the yellow CSST flexible gas line?
Two different manufactures. Different fittings for install. Some flexible tubing gas pipe is bonded better than others
how do get parts?
Same as mine 15401 cfm = 4 ,,,,Plastics are available ,, unfortunately my pump struggles to get a vacuum despite 3x oil flushes. Next step is to strip and inspect pump section .
Is that the 15400. What size capacitor does that pump come with?
I have a robinair mo 15425..it has a large port on the top that socks air good..the bottom port has the standard fitting..it doesn't do anything..what's the bottom one for?
How do you like field piece probes I'm still using analog gauge's
where you get that condensate drain
I got inspired by this video but the issues I saw with your set up was that your set up is slightly uncomfortable..so I got the MCT veto BAG and found a way to have everything you have in your bag to fit in mine and have a light set up
12:31. "it's pretty basic" yea right .... Cool utility setup. Only thing missing is the platform bed across the back and the proverbial kitchen sink
YUP NOTICED CAP BIN HAD DIRTY HAND PRINTS
Thanks for putting out this information. Just picked up my first used Robinair 15400 today. Just out of curiosity do you know what the viscosity of the oil is that these pumps use? thanks in advance.
Great to see a loadout video with used tools and not everything German made.
Just pulled a later model (blue) one of these apart. A complete dismantle, every item except the oil seal in the case was removed. The unit had very low use but went underwater in a storm and was left as is for about 5 months. Changed a chunky bearing in the motor 6203RB and meticulously dismantled, cleaned and polished the internal surfaces of the vane pump, no so much corroded as stained and discoloured on its surface from the water sitting there mixed with the vacuum oil. there was some slight surface rust on the external surface on the pump, that to was cleaned off. I noticed on reassembly there were no dowls or the like for aligning the plates and body of the vane pump. Given the tolerances of the mounting screws and the lack of an end bearing in the pump, the whole housing was free to move slightly on the alloy face its attached to. Just seems a strange way of doing it given the shaft at the motor end just runs through an oil seal and that's it. I wonder if there is some special factory alignment pins that are then replaced by screws during assembly. Anyway it works great now sucks a serious vacuum, wish I had a manometer or Torr meter to quantify that. Just wondering if anyone else has had the vane pump apart and did anything besides align and centre the plate stack and pump body pieces visually on assembly.
Where are you located? I need this in my house
Como desarmar esta máquina por completo cuando gotea por el eje por detrás??
Veto wouldnt warranty the strap?
Amazing toolset, thanks for sharing
How and what did you use to secure the cover to the tool boxes?
I have the same pump that I'm trying to rebuild. I took all the internal apart to inspect and found a lot of rust in it. Clean it out and put it back together but it will not pump down to 2000 micron.
Nice to see a properly used bit of kit, half the reviews on here are shiny new with suspiciously clean tools
Awesome sweet times!
You must spend more time looking at your tools than using them
Excellent set up,!! Thanks for the tour
Do NOT forget next time to install a NEUTRALIZER
Then people questions why we charge so much, all the things we have to buy
Great video do you have a mixing valve or a thermostatic balancing valve on thr return from the radiant pipes?
The mixing valve is on the inlet side of the circulator. The water is tempered before it enters the circulator.
Condensate is acidic, will it eat up the little pump you have in place? I install a neutralizer on condensate drain from tank-less condensing type WH's so it doesnt eat up drains and drain pipes.
Nice one
Note to self, the expansion tank is installed up side down there fore rendering it useless.
Maybe you should re-read the install manual… It’s mounted in the only acceptable orientation.

Congratulaciones, youre blessed.
Great work! Had too watch this twice. Attention to every little detail. Hat off to you sir
Who makes those pics?
Great job, Debating the need for expansion tank with my plumber.. My manual says its needed.
Who does the Enginering? The manufacturer or Plumber? I look at it as protecting your investment and insuring no nuisance problems with the relief dripping.
What is this system heating? Offices?
A private school
Great install. So clean. Also FYI there's condensate pumps with built in neutralizer media. NSP-50
Thanks. I explained in the video that I looked in to them. The pumps with the built in neutralizer have a btu rating. Their rating is less than the 750K of the boilers.
Very clean job..I just only wish our installers took the care and thought out this job as you did. Can't imagine how much cash you have in propress fittings!
“I” have zero “cash” in Propress. My customer invested in a system that I recommended/ used/ stand behind. They benefit from the system both on the Initial installation (saving labor) and the guarantee of leak free connections. Labor is more expensive than the fittings.
All I can say is that it’s just a work of art and proper work sir. Very nice work to be proud of.
Nice job great looking install! I am Wondering why you went with the condensate pump instead of just piping it over to the drain 🤔
Well, local code requires 30” of clearance around the boiler (without any tripping hazards). So, I had to pump it just to get it to dump in a drain that’s 3’ from the boiler outlet 😂.
@@hvaclaidback107 dam! Where are you located? Sounds like they make you jump through a lot of hoops.
PA
I like the MB2, perfect for what tools I really need, yeah I hate how it tips over too, mine started to rip from the bottom and veto doesn’t cover that
Really clean install!! What kind of propress do you use for the 4” pipe?
Thanks! Nibco.
Good video! I wish I could be a minimalist (compared to my bag, yours definitely is, lol). I will say though, I thought the shoulder straps were also warrantied? Good tips too. Thanks for sharing.
They are, but it’s a shorter warranty than the bag (maybe a year only).
Nice setup. How did you attach the flashlight holder to the bag?
Thanks. Pop rivets with washers on the inside.
