We had an absolutely blast on this retreat! 10 out of the 13 artists on YPR 2 were able to make it out to Nashville, which was more than I even thought possible! Super fun to do a project like this with so much teamwork and have it work so well! Hope you enjoy the video, and make sure you check out the album we worked so hard to make!

How do y'all work around the different DAWs (music makers)?

Don't know how apparent it was from the vlog- but it was pretty easy. Usually one person at a time would handle production. If anyone wanted to add anything, they'd either make a stem themselves in THEIR DAW after the fact, or (way more often) just suggest that the person at the computer add that element. It actually ended up being super easy to work around! :)
Super fun/interesting video. Was neat to be able to recognize the beats from unfinished songs after listening to them. I did have a question though: How do you decide what the different collabs will be?

Great question! So I wanted to kinda wait and see what would happen if I just let all the artists form their own collaborations, so that’s pretty much what we did! Some of the artists actually showed up at the retreat without even knowing who they would collab with 😎 It all came together pretty smoothly!

@@YourAverageNorm So Gladden had the only solo song this year. It just kinda made sense for it to be just him on that one. 🤔 he did have Mykyl and JSteph help co-write it but it just felt like he should take the whole song so he did 💪🏼

The most important question was not answered: Who created the language to speak to aliens in Chaotic Neutral? How did that word come into existence and what could it mean when translated back to English? 👀
It roughly translates to “all your carrot cakes are belong to us” and I’d say I made it up but obviously I was just repeating what the aliens said to me 👽😅

@@CoasterJoint There is a good chance we do a 3rd YPR but no details are figured out at the moment. And yeah I think CieMie was the only Russian there 😂
