They’re not acting that way. The glove is important period. MPD are not homicide detectives so I think people know that they’re not that experienced. I mean 113 pieces of evidence isn’t much either.

I really really hope IF the glove was from the perpetrator that DNA was not lost since it had been over a week. I’m extremely concerned that this tiny police department is way over their heads. I hope to god they preserved as much evidence and DNA before the state police and FBI got involved. These victims and their families deserve justice 😔
Hopefully they can trace that glove back to the manufacturer and see what stores it was sold at and when it would have been purchased. So many inconsistencies in this story, it’s mind boggling.
Chris is amazing. His attention to the smallest detail is what made him who he is. He is 100% integrity & anyone accusing him of planting it doesn't know him & has not been following him. He is an amazing man. And Karen is pretty darn cool as well. She is smart with a capital S. Love them both.
That would be unlikely, since that person's DNA would probably be on the glove, potentially implicating them in a quadruple homicide. It's possible, but probably not. More likely would be that one of the detectives or forensics people dropped their glove at the scene.

What I find odd is that the killer decided to engage the night Ethan was staying over. You would think if this was planned and if in fact one of the girls was the target, the killer would choose the night that a male was not there. This makes it seem that Ethan was in fact the target, or at the very least, if they knew he was there and one of the girls was the target, they felt confident enough to engage because there was more than one killer. Otherwise the killer or killers had no idea Ethan was there and had to confront Ethan.
But if Kaylee was the target, it would HAVE to be this night since she had moved out and was just back for a visit this weekend to show Maddie her new ride.
The killer was at an advantage doing it while they were all sleeping. And possibly they all had been drinking. And while 2 ppl slept downstairs. I think the perp has been lucky is all, so far...but will be caught because there is no perfect crime. I think the perp was very brazen to do this with so many ppl in the house. Thoughts?

Or not shy coming to find out that original investigators missed this glove as most of these guys are flat-out lazy, it used to bother me to say this but I come from a family of law enforcement and enlisted men and they tend to become very systemic and lazy. They miss things, struggle with nuance and subtlety and are easily tricked. I suspect this is more so because of the system they operate within rather than a reflection on them as individuals but that is still to be seen...

Give the glove to the dog and tell the dog to find its owner. The dog might lead you to the killer, or to an innocent passer-by who happened to lose a glove passing by. People who lose gloves are usually distracted by something or in a big hurry.
Yep it's either "why are the cops not saying anything?" or "can what the cops said help the killer?", or "the cops should tell us more!", or "the cops said more and now there's even nore questions, why arent they answered!", or "the cops only told us X now, have they checked the cell phone data then? I thought the same thing. I keep wondering who the heck is in charge. This a big overwhelming case. I would think FBI took over enough to communicate and question what the other guys are doing. And the thing that bugs me the most is not getting the crime scene secured immediately.
Living in a small rural community myself, knowing a bit about clumsy local law enforcement. I'll wager the Moscow Police likely contaminated the crime scene from the start.
If the point is to protect the son of important people in the community, then sloppy work is the way to do it. They don't actually have to tamper with evidence, just ignore it and follow up false leads they are sent.
Who is to say that glove was there when they were sweeping the scene? That could be there after the fact and nobody knows right now but it gets the hens clucking.
And these careless investigators contaminated their own crime scene and couldn't thereafter identify their own glove? And the retired detective is deliberately misleading us? Right, right.

@@amy109 I would have taken that screen and kept it in evidence. Some people were saying there are photos showing it on the ground before the murders but I still would have taken it.
It may have been taken off in advance by the person who came back later on to commit the crime. People everywhere....be sure to check your own windows and doors everyday to be sure nobody has unlatched one and left it unlocked. Also, look for things like a screen that has been removed. In that case, a local resident named Robert Yates was killing several prostitutes and burying them in his backyard. It was horrible.

Finding a glove will never undo the damage Chris McDonough did to Michael Crowe. Every case this man was ever involved in should be investigated again.
The retired detective says there’s prior footage of the glove on the ground. Did anyone think that the investigators saw the glove and, based on footage of it on the ground prior to the murders, already eliminated it as evidence?
Interesting that it's right next to one of two Chapin family cars, that were behind police tape. But the surviving room mate cars were gone. Police said from day one isolated, targeted, no threat to the public. Mayor called it a crime of passion. Until the nurse lawyer coroner called it a homicide. Coroner also defends killers in court.
I watched this retired homicide detectives video on thanksgiving and I saw him find this glove. It was literally in the wide open ground in near the trash barrel that another detective was looking in, and idk how on earth they would have missed it. Personally I think it might have been accidentally dropped by a reporter or someone who was there with in those 11 days. 🤷♂️🤷♂️
So the cops are letting reporters wander around within the crime scene? Face it: it's either missed critical evidence, or it was dropped by another cop --not a reporter. In any case, the cops are doing a great job of sowing reasonable doubt.
@@kenbob1071 On thanksgiving there was hardly any reports there. And the crime scene was smaller before they broadend it if you have parties attention. That wasn’t always the crime scene. 5:00 as a detective himself, I’m disappointed that he immediately published the video of him discovering it online… esp in light of them literally comparing it to another case in which the integrity of evidence, specifically the accusations of evidence being improperly handled, even planted, is what the defense hung their hat on. No way it could effectively be used as evidence in court being outside the taped area and found 11 days afterwards. Even in the odd case that it had been there the whole time, which it likely was not there on the initial scene, no defence atty would not argue that it could easily have been any passer by that dropped it.
Who said it was outside the tape area??? It was inside the tape area next to the garbage cans 🥫. Was there since day 1. It showed on the news footage since day one. It could be the killers glove, it was near the area where you would go up the hill on the side street, if you go up to the top parking lot. 0r it's from the police that was putting up the yellow tape 0r from someone inside the house. It should have been picked up 0r inspected since day one. But it wasn't.
Well if the Keystone cops weren't told of the glove's presence, we would never know. Plus, even if it turns out to be just a cop's glove, they've effectively contaminated the crime scene and have cast reasonable doubt on the competency of their investigation. Nice.
