STORY TIME CHILDREN, GATHER 'ROUND!!! So I've been pretty close to this friend of mine for about a year and a half now, and I've been absolutely determined not to have a crush on her in the slightest just because our friendship is that great and I count on her so much that I don't want anything to ruin that. The whole night I'm trying to ignore my feelings, trying not to stare or smile too much at her but I can't help it. I try to speak but the only thing I'm thinking of is how beautiful her eyes are. I try to laugh, but I'm caught on her smile. Everything she does, everything she says is mezmorizing. She gives me a whole tour of the theatre, and God she's adorable. Just every move she makes flusters me. She dances with me in the rehearsal space. She takes me to the patio and hops from stone to stone. We talk about everything and nothing at all. When the show is over, we lay on the stage together and pretend the house lights are stars. But I can't feel this way about her. I can't. I can't lay there and think about how easy it would be to reach out and take her hand. But every time I close my eyes I'm back there with her. And I don't want to leave. UPDATE: I told her how I feel, and she apparently feels the same way about me! We haven't discussed whether or not we'll date because we're both about to start school at different colleges, but this is definitely a step forward and I'm so happy!!!

Today, September 18, 2019, i've decided to let go of my 'She'. She's my best friend, and we have a very special connection between us. Among our group of friends, and our other friends, she's the one that i really can't afford to lose, and vice versa (we've both admitted that to each other). We're very close, we're always next to each other. Whenever we're with our other friends, there's always these moments just between the two of us where we give each other some short but deep glances. I don't know why we always do that, but we do. We don't always talk about these moments, but we know that it's there, that it exists. But those moments i mentioned above, they all disappear when her boyfriend is around. The usual "seated next to each other" would become "seated on both ends of the seat", the glances wouldn't make an appearance, and the whispers as well. When her bf's around, it's like we're not even THAT close. (We've been best friends for almost six years, and her relationship with her boyfriend has been going on for a little more than one year) But then a month ago i finally told her that i like both guys and girls. I thought she'd avoid me, but nah, we actually became much closer. The day after i told her, we met with our other friends, and that day she was extra clingy and touchy. Ever since i told her, we would text all day long until we fall asleep. I would sometimes try ending our conversations by texting back something that didn't require a reply from her. But few hours later she would find some random reason to text me, and then our non stop conversation would start again. The past few weeks we've been spending our time together almost everyday--before, it would sometimes take weeks or a month before we would see each other, so the past few weeks was kind of a big change. It would've been okay for me, great, actually. Problem is, i'm falling for her more and more. But she sees me just as her best friend, and she has a boyfriend. Even though she's been wanting to break up with him. She almost did, actually. Just the other day. She told him that she wasn't happy with him anymore, but then she panicked when he told her that if it would make her happy to let her go, then he would. She panicked and asked him, "you're going to let go just as easily as that??" he answered with something like "you're the one who let go first", then she realised he was right. She felt bad and then yeah, she didn't go through the break up. Now they're all rainbows and unicorns again. I know all of that because she told me just yesterday. Yesterday was also the day I was going to tell her about how i feel for her. But my courage wavered every time she talked about her boyfriend. I tried to earn back the courage that i lost as we talked about things; we got to talk about songs and music, and then she showed me some songs that reminded her of her and her boyfriend. So my courage--it wavered and wavered until finally there's nothing left. Then i gave up. My initial plan when i went to her place was to tell her that i feel something for her, then put some space between us. Avoid texting her, or seeing her for a while. But yeah, i couldn't tell her. So last night i went home and just stared at my room's ceiling, and i realised and decided some things for myself; i could still put some space between us, but the difference is, she wouldn't know the reason why. She doesn't really need to know the reason. She's already happy, even if it's with someone else, and really that's the best thing i could hope for her. I don't need to get myself between them or into her thoughts, only to mess things up for her. If she's happy, then i have to let go. Even if it hurts me emotionally, and my chest physically. I can't go on like this forever. Now, I'm ready to let go of my 'She'.
I know this was a long time ago but from reading that it seems like she likes you too. Why else would she pull away from you when her boyfriend is around unless she’s trying to compartmentalize her feelings? Why would she get closer to you and spend more time with you after learning you like girls unless it’s because she got excited that she may stand a chance with you, too! She even tried to break up with him but got nervous and couldn’t take the leap. Seems to me like you guys are on the opposite sides of the same boat, trying to get the courage and reassurance to express your feelings.
@@helloitisi9394 (Jan. 2021) wow thanks for your comment. feels like i wrote this a long time ago, and so much has already happened. kind of. last year around september too, she confessed that she feels something for me, too. it's because i was ready to distance myself then. we already had the talk and everything, and i thought before finally doing that i thought maybe nothing could go wrong anymore if i asked her one last question. i told her i felt something from her, and that maybe i was wrong, or maybe i wasnt. so yeah, i asked her if she had feelings for me, and she said yes. but she said it's just a little something and that it wouldn't get past that. guess what. after learning she felt something for me i withdrew from my decision of staying away from her. long story short- she broke up with her bf december last year. we've been fighting a lot-A LOT- sometimes theyre just silly things, but i'm still loving her more and more. we aren't together, but i know there's something in there. and now i'm sure of that. i have some problems of my own and she's been there for me. always trying to be there for me more than ever, we even fight whenever i push her away, but she tries. i know she does. i just feel like something's holding her back. maybe she's afraid that we might ruin our friendship. and i understand that, so yeah. imma just stay by her side and let whatever happens, happen.
Okay this needs to be done.. I've always known that equal rights for LGBTQ are important and supported it as much as I could. Its hard when your 'she' is a straight woman who is also your best friend. She knows I like her, but she talks to me about her boy troubles and I always try to help her. But she was so sweet to everyone else and so pretty and funny that it was hard not to crush on her. One of my friends later told me that she was rude to people that she liked so that they wouldn’t break her heart. I got so happy and asked her out, and she said yes. i should’ve told her that i don’t text often. after a few weeks one of our mutual friends told me that she wasn’t happy because of how distant i was, and wanted to end the relationship. it didn’t hurt me the way the first girl did, but i was still upset. i just made some tea and got over it. it feels kinda hard to love now...
update for a year later since someone interacted with this, im good now! i ended up with a girlfriend about two years later, and we've been dating for almost half a year 🤗 it turns out i really didnt know how low my standards were, because my girlfriend now is 100x better a friend and partner than both of the other girls i had crushes on. we send each other cheesy relationship memes, go on picnics, play videogames, etc... its hard not to have a big grin when she texts me :))

aight so this was a while ago but i had a best friend who used to have a crush on me and i was crushing on her too. but my dumb ass tried to be coy and danced around the topic of me having a "special someone" and well, she got hurt about it cuz i wouldnt tell her who it was. two-three years ago got into a huge fight about me being distant towards her. she said i was being cold, it was really just me not knowing how to handle my feelings for her lmao that crush developed into me falling so badly things were never really the same between us ever again. it turned into a cycle of crying after every time we hung out and hating her but always ending up chasing after her. 'twas pretty toxic. can't count the amount of times i've cried over her. it was hurting her too. three months ago she officially cut ties with me and i got so used to having her on my mind that, now that it's clear she doesn't want that, well i'm pretty damn lost. i don't know what to do. but she's still the same girl that deserves happiness. even if i still find myself wanting to be a part of that happiness, if she doesn't want me in her life anymore then i won't. oof i'm not ok but i hope that i feel the same things she made me feel again- except for the toxic part obviously.

STORY TIME CHILDREN, GATHER 'ROUND!!!
So I've been pretty close to this friend of mine for about a year and a half now, and I've been absolutely determined not to have a crush on her in the slightest just because our friendship is that great and I count on her so much that I don't want anything to ruin that. She's very openly a lesbian (demisexual homoromantic) and I'm semi-closeted bi (asexual biromantic). Our friendship was absolutely perfect...until about 2 days ago. I volunteered to help her, along with another friend of ours, organize an awards show at this theatre she volunteers at. Fine, right? The other friend ended up cancelling, leaving us alone. The whole night I'm trying to ignore my feelings, trying not to stare or smile too much at her but I can't help it. I try to speak but the only thing I'm thinking of is how beautiful her eyes are. I try to laugh, but I'm caught on her smile. Everything she does, everything she says is mezmorizing. She gives me a whole tour of the theatre, and God she's adorable. Just every move she makes flusters me. She dances with me in the rehearsal space. She takes me to the patio and hops from stone to stone. We talk about everything and nothing at all. When the show is over, we lay on the stage together and pretend the house lights are stars. But I can't feel this way about her. I can't. I can't lay there and think about how easy it would be to reach out and take her hand. But every time I close my eyes I'm back there with her. And I don't want to leave.
UPDATE: I told her how I feel, and she apparently feels the same way about me! We haven't discussed whether or not we'll date because we're both about to start school at different colleges, but this is definitely a step forward and I'm so happy!!!

Today, September 18, 2019, i've decided to let go of my 'She'.
She's my best friend, and we have a very special connection between us. Among our group of friends, and our other friends, she's the one that i really can't afford to lose, and vice versa (we've both admitted that to each other). We're very close, we're always next to each other. Whenever we're with our other friends, there's always these moments just between the two of us where we give each other some short but deep glances. I don't know why we always do that, but we do. We don't always talk about these moments, but we know that it's there, that it exists. But those moments i mentioned above, they all disappear when her boyfriend is around. The usual "seated next to each other" would become "seated on both ends of the seat", the glances wouldn't make an appearance, and the whispers as well. When her bf's around, it's like we're not even THAT close. (We've been best friends for almost six years, and her relationship with her boyfriend has been going on for a little more than one year)
But then a month ago i finally told her that i like both guys and girls. I thought she'd avoid me, but nah, we actually became much closer. The day after i told her, we met with our other friends, and that day she was extra clingy and touchy. Ever since i told her, we would text all day long until we fall asleep. I would sometimes try ending our conversations by texting back something that didn't require a reply from her. But few hours later she would find some random reason to text me, and then our non stop conversation would start again. The past few weeks we've been spending our time together almost everyday--before, it would sometimes take weeks or a month before we would see each other, so the past few weeks was kind of a big change.
It would've been okay for me, great, actually. Problem is, i'm falling for her more and more. But she sees me just as her best friend, and she has a boyfriend. Even though she's been wanting to break up with him. She almost did, actually. Just the other day. She told him that she wasn't happy with him anymore, but then she panicked when he told her that if it would make her happy to let her go, then he would. She panicked and asked him, "you're going to let go just as easily as that??" he answered with something like "you're the one who let go first", then she realised he was right. She felt bad and then yeah, she didn't go through the break up. Now they're all rainbows and unicorns again.
I know all of that because she told me just yesterday. Yesterday was also the day I was going to tell her about how i feel for her. But my courage wavered every time she talked about her boyfriend. I tried to earn back the courage that i lost as we talked about things; we got to talk about songs and music, and then she showed me some songs that reminded her of her and her boyfriend. So my courage--it wavered and wavered until finally there's nothing left. Then i gave up.
My initial plan when i went to her place was to tell her that i feel something for her, then put some space between us. Avoid texting her, or seeing her for a while. But yeah, i couldn't tell her. So last night i went home and just stared at my room's ceiling, and i realised and decided some things for myself; i could still put some space between us, but the difference is, she wouldn't know the reason why. She doesn't really need to know the reason. She's already happy, even if it's with someone else, and really that's the best thing i could hope for her. I don't need to get myself between them or into her thoughts, only to mess things up for her.
If she's happy, then i have to let go. Even if it hurts me emotionally, and my chest physically.
I can't go on like this forever.
Now, I'm ready to let go of my 'She'.

I know this was a long time ago but from reading that it seems like she likes you too. Why else would she pull away from you when her boyfriend is around unless she’s trying to compartmentalize her feelings? Why would she get closer to you and spend more time with you after learning you like girls unless it’s because she got excited that she may stand a chance with you, too! She even tried to break up with him but got nervous and couldn’t take the leap. Seems to me like you guys are on the opposite sides of the same boat, trying to get the courage and reassurance to express your feelings.
@@helloitisi9394 (Jan. 2021) wow thanks for your comment. feels like i wrote this a long time ago, and so much has already happened. kind of. last year around september too, she confessed that she feels something for me, too. it's because i was ready to distance myself then. we already had the talk and everything, and i thought before finally doing that i thought maybe nothing could go wrong anymore if i asked her one last question. i told her i felt something from her, and that maybe i was wrong, or maybe i wasnt. so yeah, i asked her if she had feelings for me, and she said yes. but she said it's just a little something and that it wouldn't get past that. guess what. after learning she felt something for me i withdrew from my decision of staying away from her. long story short- she broke up with her bf december last year. we've been fighting a lot-A LOT- sometimes theyre just silly things, but i'm still loving her more and more. we aren't together, but i know there's something in there. and now i'm sure of that. i have some problems of my own and she's been there for me. always trying to be there for me more than ever, we even fight whenever i push her away, but she tries. i know she does. i just feel like something's holding her back. maybe she's afraid that we might ruin our friendship. and i understand that, so yeah. imma just stay by her side and let whatever happens, happen.

aight so this was a while ago but i had a best friend who used to have a crush on me and i was crushing on her too. but my dumb ass tried to be coy and danced around the topic of me having a "special someone" and well, she got hurt about it cuz i wouldnt tell her who it was. two-three years ago got into a huge fight about me being distant towards her. she said i was being cold, it was really just me not knowing how to handle my feelings for her lmao that crush developed into me falling so badly
