And Bill should hadn't made no missteps such as affair with a intern and impeachment and Definitely cost Gore the election And Bill made that mistake in 1998 and good well that his vice president is getting ready to run for President and Bill want to do that foolish thing and had that scandal drag on in the 2000 campaign and Al Gore had no choice to distance himself from Clinton and refuse to have him on the campaign trail.

@@andrebond678 Clinton’s approval rating was 74% and Democrats won 5 seats in the House of Representatives in the 1998 midterm elections (which was a disruption to the tradition that the presidents party loses seats). What cost Al gore the election was distancing himself from Clinton.

@@lamaripiazza5226 Yes that was a bad mistake for Al Gore and also not using Bill Clinton to campaign for him and worst part is he lost his home state Tennessee and Bill Clinton home state Arkansas and lost New Hampshire and West Virginia if Gore had won one of the four states he would won the Presidency and Florida wouldn't be in the conversation Second I wish Bill Clinton should had apologized to Gore immediately when he admitted the Monica affair and should have a meeting with him in the Oval office real early in the fall of 1998 and Bill admit the affair on Aug 1998 in that same time instead had drag out mainly in the 2000 campaign and Bill realizes that his Vice President get ready to run for President and made that huge mistake for that affair and the public take their anger out on Gore and GW Bush used that as campaign issue by saying "By restore honor and diginity back in the White House" Al Gore should had take a chance and should have Clinton on the campaign trail it would make a different outcome .and Bill should have come forward to apologize to Gore and tell him that he will do everything he can to get him elected

Bill Clinton and Gore were great. Joe Lieberman, on the other hand, not so much.

Clinton was okay until the Monica Lewinsky scandal came along. And then it made Bill Clinton more scripted than authentically honest.

      What's your reason?

Bill Clinton was so popular in 2000, that it shouldve been an easy win for Al Gore.
Not sure why Gore distanced himself from Clinton, whether it be for personal reasons, or an incorrect political calculation.

Probably because of the scandals and Clinton’s impeachment
