      Billions is like game of thrones except the people with money and power and screwing eachother by ruining them. ruining their careers, their fortunes, taking their power away., and Getting them locked up. Its more cerebral then just brutally killing them. Because they have to live with their mistakes which can be more painful in its humiliation than a quick death.

      Personally I (and that is the only thing I loved in the entirety of season 7 and 8 combined) I really love that Jaymie went back to Cersei and that they died together in each other's arms instead of Arya the Mary Sue killing her or even Jaymie what would have made beyond no sense (seeing as they have been loving each other for 30-40 years and are siblings.
      But hey, you do you mate, as long as you don't like the Littlefinger Murder I don't have an axe to grind with you :P

    • @ethrsag735
      @ethrsag735 Год назад +11

      No he had the idealistic sense of justice. I like to see Chuck’s three apprentices, as he called them, as the three different ways you can approach the law.
      You have the pessimist, Lonnie, who has been on the receiving end of many of Chuck’s schemes and thus left for better paid positions in the same business where he has a far greater degree of independence and autonomy which he often lacked when Chuck moved him on the board as a rook.
      The idealist, Bryan, whose sense of justice is bound with blinders where when he sees a tree fall in the forest he immediately assumes someone chopped it down instead of an errant lightning bolt, where his moments of hesitation and loss of faith placed Chuck into positions where he purposefully and accidentally betrayed him, misunderstanding moments of coincidence or happenstance for malice and sprinting at them with violence like a rabid pit bull. This leads him into further conflict with Chuck as his subjective sense of zeal and blind fury, as Chuck told him once, lead him in a crusade against his former mentor when he found a way back into public prosecution and broke laws with little regard as to the subtle in which he broke them, leading to the final act of listening to audio tape evidence he was sent to prison for listening to as he flipped the trap Chuck knew he would fall for, hook, line and sinker.
      Then there’s the pragmatist, Sacker, and in that sense of perspective I think she is Chuck’s greatest and truest protégé. As she said it herself she is a political animal, one of Chuck’s judge friends said that he thought Chuck was built for the political life. And in that regard their actions mirror one another, dodging bullets while skulking in the shadows for that edge in the political knife fights with their opponents, betraying allies when it suited them and shaking the hands of their enemies when the time was right, all in the interest of both serving the justice of the public good while also benefiting the prospects and quality of their future political careers which both of their fathers had an influence on.

The writers have set this up so perfectly. As a man I find it quite unbelievable that Axe hasn't made the move yet. Wendy is just stunning & super intelligent. Axe knows about her freaky side now. There has to be some curiosity there. The admiration, respect, & loyalty is there. Maybe he respects her marriage. We'll have to wait & see if the writers ever make that happen.

    Why they dubbed this show Billions is beyond me since it’s about Chuck, the Grandmaster.

    Brian went from a good protagonist to an antagonist. This show has great twists! In some strange way

      It may have seemed obvious from time to time, but the show did twist and turn a bit when both Chucks panicked when they "found out" that they were being bugged. Although, thinking back they probably had to act surprised to convince the listeners that they had no idea they were bugged prior to the false meeting.

    The first law of power: Never outshine the master

    • @mrt094
      @mrt094 3 года назад

      Ehhh not at all. Chuck was no longer Bryan's master that rule makes no sense here. Law 15 Crush Your Enemy Totally is more appropriate. Connerty didn't do that when he got Chuck fired as U.S Attorney and he paid the price. Chuck didn't make that mistake.
