I’m so sorry. I hope it isn’t painful. I asked because I thought it might be something related to painting I truly enjoy your tutorials very much. You’re a gifted artist
Oh no worries! I actually made a video abt it, to warn viewers of the glove that will randomly appear 😂 it was painful at the time but I'm thankfully healing from it 😁 ❤
Your future is very bright and you will have many followers because you teaches very well by showing how to draw all these shapes of the same fruit. Not to mention you also explain what watercolour paints, brushes and values. Thank you so much for sharing your vlogs.
This is the first tutorial I have seen of yours, it’s excellent! Thankyou so much. My sister has had a hard time getting into art again since her husband died, so I’m going to recommend this to her as I think it might inspire her, without having to think about a full composition. Stay safe xxx
Thank you so much! I'm so sorry to hear about your sister.. and I hope that painting will ease her if she decides to get into it again. Sending lots of love and I hope you guys stay safe and healthy
Thank you so much! So glad you enjoy the content so far. I wore a glove for this video because I was going through a really bad eczema flare up at the time, so the gloves help support my skin so I can bend my fingers to paint :))
These are so pretty 💕 I never really thought about drawing pears as interesting but you changed my mind. Also, I'm curious. You mentioned adding a little bit of green to brown on the stem to make the colours look more harmonious. Do you usually do this only on your smaller / more limited palette illustrations (like these) or do you also use this to pull together colours on larger/more complicated pieces?
I do it from time to time, depending on the painting. But since the colours are so limited here, I wanted everything to have a nice harmonious tone :)) It's something to experiment with. I have to say that I'm not an expert with colours, so I like doing things like that as experimentation but it's definitely applicable for complicated pieces as well :))
I am dying to meet you and tell my improvement in watercolours.I was never good at handling the brushes. If I meet you,I will surely show you. Thanks nia😊👌👍
Thank you :) All my pastry tutorials are on my Skillshare. The pastry painting that I do are usually very detailed, so I wouldn't be able to create short videos for it without either speeding it up or cutting a lot of the footage. Which is why I choose to post these on Skillshare as full classes with shorter lessons. The problem i have as a beginner is every channel i go to they say not too much paint and before i know it I'm putting it on so thin you can't even see it, then by adding layer after layer it looks terrible. You gotta put paint om the paper at some point. Great demo
Ooooo haha yea I guess consistency ranges a lot, but it's better to atleast make the 1st layer lighter, since watercolor is transparent, it's harder to create lighter spots. I like to usually use a very light layer when I'm unsure and I just want to map out the area xD I understand your point though haha
Green and red are opposite colours so when mixed it'll turn brown. As long as you don't mix the colours together (on top of one another), they wont completely mix into each other even if they're wet- the edges of those colours will just roughly settle together :))
No worries! I have a video on it if you're interested in more detail. But in short it's to support my weak broken skin when I have a bad eczema flare up, and to decrease the pain :) ruclips.net/video/I-x2m0JnAh0/видео.html

I'm so sorry about your hands. You have severe eczema? Have you looked into moisture therapy? My husband & son have horrible eczema and this works for them. You would put a ton of thick cream on then put on dampened gloves. I love your paintings and calmness of your tutorials!
I'm glad you enjoyed the tutorials! :D:D I'm actually doing a moisture withdrawal as well whenever I can because in severe cases when the flare up is out of control, the moisture will just make the skin ooze out even more 😅 The mw is actually working well overall because my whole body no longer needs extra moisturiser, when I used to get dry skin. I moisturise if I need to wear a glove in sever cases if not the material might pull off my skin (sorry that sounds gross) It's not as bad as what it was now, but I get flare ups every 2 weeks or so where I wouldn't be able to use my hands for around 3 days, but it's still no where as severe as what it was back then. At the moment, I'm just doing things as naturally as I can. I watch what I eat intently, whole foods only, not even sauces. I do take black seed oil as a supplement and to put on my skin sometimes though.

Hi nia! Great tutorial as always. I was a bit curious how you used green with red in the apples and didn't get muddy colors. Is there a trick to it?
Green and red are opposite colours so when mixed it'll turn brown. As long as you don't mix the colours together (on top of one another), they wont completely mix into each other even if they're wet- the edges of those colours will just roughly settle together :))

Immediately tried it! Turned out failed 😂. I'm not good at mixing colours to get the tones I want. :/ :/
Oh no! What happened to the colours you used?
@@Nianiani Couldn't get the colours I want for the pears. And the apples just didn't seem like apples at all. 😂
