En verdad muchas muchas muchas gracias, tenia este problema y llevaba como una semana. La gente no me ayudaba y ya estaba súper desesperado y estresado, gracias por hacer esto mas fácil para mi
I found out in the manual that those options are not always available: These settings are not available with text created using built-in fonts 025 or 029, a TrueType font, a user-defined font or a small text font. These settings are not available for text containing characters of different colors. These settings are not available for text where the sewing order of the characters is not continuous.
Your description says "I have re made this video as I now prefer a different method." but no link to the new method video? Can you provide. I am interested in learning more. Thank you! So very helpful from an experienced wizard!
@@OleensEmbroidery Thank you for your amazingly QUICK reply!! Playing around on my SE625 that I recently acquired. tI want to make sure my repo/multi position hoops will work for my needs. So far no hoop envy with all the great instruction, some testing and a little bit of know how. I am LOVING it. Thank you for all of your tutorials!
hi...learned so much from w/these great tutorial. I have a question not sure if you have time to answer this. I am embroidering a shirt with small letters. I learned to set connection points to "closest" . The problem is it is grayed out and set to default. The program won't let me change, know how?...tks if you have time...I amd working in Pe Design Versin 9
+Paola Dumeer I love having my text sew out smoothly. Saves time and wear & tear on your machine. Most important is that your densities and pull compensations are correct before converting to "stitches".
Hi, Thanks for your tutorial which I followed easily. However, after removing the the trims like your tutorial, when I went to save, the trims were showing again. Min Jump Stitch setting is 2mm. Please advise. Tq.
Hi Kathleen. Thanks for all the videos, they do help quite a bit! My question is related to jump stitches, or actually being able to control the route of the non-trimmed jump between two objects. In my example, I had to draw a block letter 'E' made from 4 simple blocks. The machine was trimming, and it looked great but when I delete the trim, the jump thread just crosses straight across wherever it wants from block to block of the 'E'. Is there a way to route the jump such that it will be hidden where it knows sewing will cover them up? Make sense? Thanks! Brian.
Okay, I'll send it soon. I ended up converting to stitches and stretching the final needle drops to terminate where the next object begins. It worked..a bit clunky, but it worked. Thanks!
Is there any way for me to make it so I dont have to cut the thread between the letters once I'm done embroidering? I tried changing the settings to a multi needle and the scissors showed up, but my machine (brother se625, single needle) wont cut it even though it has the button that allows me to automatically cut the string during sewing
Hi! Thanks for your tutorials. I am not able to get my machine to trim jump stitches despite the scissor icon appearing between the frames on the right hand side in PE Design and it being a function my embroidery machine is able to do (I have a Brother DZ820E). Is there any other reason PE Design wouldn't be exporting the trim information?
Unfortunately I believe this is a machine issue. My first embroidery machine did not read trims and only used jumps which is why I still try to digitize using minimal trims/jumps.
I know it's been a while since anyone had looked at this. I had to change text to blocks and then change each letter to a different color in order for my Toyota machine to read the trims for the text. My Ruger design that I was embroidering was trimming fine but not the lettering.
I tried to do this exactly like you stated but (put multi needle machine, etc. )and I am using PE Design Next and I cannot get the little sissors to come up on the design at all! they will come up on the left column but not on the design. When I ask for trimming of jump stitches in pe design next it only takes away the sissors in the left column as they do not show up on the design itself?
+OleensEmbroidery I don't have it up anymore. But I will try it again but I have no idea how to send it to you. I would like to send you a whole pic of the screen so you can see that the scissors are not on the design but are only on the right hand column. Do you know how I can send this to you?
+Karen Licquia Send a PES file as an attachment to my web email kathleen@oleens.com Any old PES file should show me what it is showing you. Then I can check the settings and see what is going on
Is there a way to force my single-needle machine to cut the thread instead of jumping? I haven't found a way, and even seeing the design settings such that I can see the cutting points (multi-needle), it still won't cut when I want it to.
Rich x Sorry to say Rich, but you machine probably does not have that feature. My first machine did not and is one of the reasons I am obsessive about minimizing jumps and trims.
This video was about removing trims if you do not want your machine to stop and trim each letter. If you are not concerned with machine productivity and time do not use his technique. When digitizing select your text & make sure you check the "farther" box under the sewing attributes tab. That will insure that enough space will be between the stop of the last letter and the start of the new letter so the machine will stop and trim.
Hi Kathleen, I am looking for my machine to make a cut after each letter but the software just makes enough gap to hand cut, its not doing a automatic cut by the machine. Do you know why at all? Is there a way for the design to tell the machine to cut the thread and go to the next letter? thank you
Kathleen, I guess I really do not understand what you are doing in this video. Are you are just programming your machine not to stop? You can't really remove thread jumps, can you? It seems like the thread has to get from one letter to another somehow. Can this be done without showing thread? Sorry, I am new at this and trying to understand. Sure would be nice if you did not have to hand trim between each letter for those of us that do not have a machine that does it!
Yes, the machine is just not stopping. I should have named this video "Eliminating Trims". In most cases you will not see the jump between the two closest points. In the few cases that you do, they will have to be hand trimmed, however when sewing dozens of items your machine will run smoother and it takes way less time to hand trim the two or three points that may bother you.
OK, one more question, totally different subject and thank you so very much for taking the time to reply! Is there a "cheat sheet" per say that will help you decide on settings for pull and density for, let's say, a certain line thickness or stitch size? Some guidelines perhaps?
As you go through the tutorials I touch on this many times. In general, the smaller the design the less density and less pull comp. The larger the design, more density and pull comp.

Hi! You no longer have to do this manually, just go to sewing attributes > connection points > CLOSED
Where can I find this feature? I can't seem to find it anywhere in te 10 version.

Can you use this to remove jump stitches in a design digitize in pe design with close shapes?
As long as it is converted to stitches.

How do I split stitch an object that's not a Text, Shape, or a design that comes from the PE gallery
You would have to email the embroidery file and explain. I will take a look

How can I put in scissors? Is it possible?
