The reason that recitative is so good is because its as far away from a recitative (while still being an actual recitative) as possible!
Great music doesn't require hundreds of performers, and this cantata(and all other Bach cantatas for that matter) is ample proof!

A great Cantata, of course, with so many fine things - but what an astonishing little jewel there is in the bass recitative, beautifully sung here.

Congratulations on the magnificent work, JS Bach's interpretations are very touching. The capture of the instruments is absolutely accurate.
Conductor Lutz is clearly showing by now that he is an emergent star, at the same level as Gardiner, Koopman, and Herreweghe. JSB from Heaven is evidently blessing him with abundant inspiration....
