Of all the cantatas, I usually feel that this is my favorite, with its tremendously propulsive opening.
So herrliche Musik!
I keep watching this over and over again--can't get enough of it!
I have the same disease, not planning on getting over it anytime soon. However, I developing a bit of a crush on Claude Eichenberger.
She sings so beautifully it is like heaven.
Mrs. Claude Eichenberger my words will always fail to describe your most beautiful voice, it is like God himself is speaking to me.
Oh Norbert, we miss you terribly....
"The organist stole the show!" I agree and the technical recording was darn near perfect.
THE ORGANIST TAGICALLY DIED IN AN AUTOMOBILE ACCIDENT AFTER ONE OF THE CANTATA PERFORMANCES SOME YEARS AGO. HARD FOR ME TO UNDERSTAND GOD´S PLAN FOR US. ???
@@ronwalker4849 I am sorry. I liked his playing. Maybe he plays elsewhere now? ;-)
I too love this guy.....there is a love and comfort that runs through him.....and one can feel his joy and see his love of what he does!!! I love you Mr. Organ man.....and thank you for a piece of your heart.
@@ronwalker4849 What was his name?
@@ronwalker4849 He died in a freak accident when he fell out of a hotel window, not an automobile accident.
Another superb performance. The audience should stand up and give a standing ovation!

Man man , golf na golf na golf!
Bach is het SUMMUM !
En fabuleus ten uitvoer gebracht !
Wat een ensemble.
Bach, de spelers en de zangeres.
This cantata was a "project" of mine in college. I didn't do it the justice this mezzo does, but I loved studying and performing it. Absolutely beautiful. Thanks for posting.
brilliant organist!!
It is an opening sinfonia such as the one in this cantata that reminds us that Bach was a master organist- he was undoubtedly the soloist at the premiere in 1726. The organist here does the work justice- I think Bach would be proud.
I agree winth you
It make you realise what the world is missing since unlike Handel Bach never composed an actual organ concerto.
@@davebarclay4429 Really? What about BWV 693? 1052?
Just love to watch when they play standing up, and the whole body sings with the music.
Magnificent performance. Thanks Maestro Lutz and all the performers. Well done.
A light mezzo, never heard her before...great.Happy to hear all these beautiful musicians. The organ also, so virtuoso.
Christiaan d'Hooghe this "light" Mezzo sings Ortrud and Venus.....not really sooo light, don't you think?
If she sings Ortrud as well, then it shows rather that she is a great flexible musician with taste for style, rather than that her singing is not light. Here it definitely is light :) But thank you for this information, I didn't know!
@@contraltissima Didn't know that. Ortrud is a real voice killer in act three :)
the Beauty of her voice shines through and above the rest. The piece was made for the Aria no doubt in my mind. The musical instruments, the organ in particular adds some flavor to it but without the Aria it seems that there is no true expression I think. Eichenberg recitative aria is absolutely so magnificent, exquisite and completes everything.
Wunderschön, Claude Eichenberger!♥️
magnífico organista, prematuramente fallecido (RIP)
Magnificent group effort by all who I think have that divine "spark" which makes each one aware of the great gifts God has bestowed on them as collaborators with the great Bach (who was certainly aware of God's "gifting-ness" and the need to respond to that with his very best) but each of them with a similar awareness of what God deserves from them, too. I love their demeanor, as always, the delight all the way through, including the dancing of the string players!
I listen to this not quite every day but almost every day. Enough said...
Maravilhosa música, maravilhosa interpretação!
👏👏👏🎼🎶
Wonderful. Great performance.

My favorite Cantata work.....love my Mr. Organ man
......play on my friend
Reminds of the organ part in the Cantata Gott solo Allen me in Herze haben.
Gott ha alles wohlgemacht...
Precioso !
Cet ensemble est toujours dans l’excellence !
I have been listening to/watching Rudolf Lutz & his Bach Foundation musicians performing Bach's cantatas for a year & a half & very much enjoying them. I like the small band - Bach would in most instances have been restricted to such a small band. I have most of Bach's music on CD, but seeing people sing & play is a much better experience. Thank you Herr Lutz for being able to present these cantatas on RUclips. And yes, knowing something about organs, I enjoyed watching organist Norbert Zeilberger's hands bouncing along the keyboard & adding his notes to this beautiful melange.
so well synchronized. Just perfect!
her voice calms my soul.
Awesome performance, Maestro Lutz!
Organist seems all except organist... But what a crack of keyboard. Great!
And what nice was here Claude...
I'm in love.
Teniu raó, però qui és Claude?
@@ramontorrents5600 La Eichenberger, qui sinó?
@@josep-miquelserra7503 Torneu a tenir raó. Ho he vist als crèdits, però tard.
Wonderful music, performed excellently.
her voice is just so beautiful
Danke! Auf höchstem Niveau, künstlerisch wie technisch.
Complimenti all'organista. Impeccabile in precisione e gusto!
Brava to the soloist, Bravo to the organist and the ensemble.
The organist stole the show!
Indeed, with the traditional baroque fingering and impeccable articulation!

evert westrik Did you mean BWV 110?

Oh definitely! He was incredible!
Thank you soooo much for this *magnificent* sharing!
Mi espíritu y mi alma se confunden............Maravilloso !!
Great organist!
Profilo esecutivo ed interpretativo di altissimo livello!!!
tudo maravilhoso, fantastico... perfeto... meus aplausos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
great organist!
It is very sad that he had to die so early
I'm so sorry to hear this.
I hopehe is with God who gave him his talents..
He apparently died after falling out of a hotel window... Sad
Quite superb...sheer exuberance!!
The "concert" is something like power metal. Genius Bach.
vaya, ¡ cuanta perfección y sutileza instrumental ! felicidades Bach Foundation !
Grazie Rudolf!
Excelente interpretación el organista espectacular.
Thanks Mr. Lutz!!
das ist wunderbar!!!!....(Brasil)
Especially nice ensemble and wonderful soloist!
¡Qué belleza!

Erstaunlich!

Ottima esecuzione. L'organista in particolare ha fatto un lavoro egregio
Great swing...
Inmejorable, sublime
Maraviillosa Claude! Lutz es un mago! Felicitaciones.
Very crear un the Word and beatiful for the work un the conpositatiin of bach
SO SCHÖN solche Kreativität! Bitte mehr davon. Ne ganze Kantate!!
Thank you all participating musicians
Thank you for providing English translations.
Fantastique
I find the first aria to be both haunting and endearing at the same time
Bravo
The sinfonias make me wonder if Bach himself played them while keeping everyone else in line. To have seen him do this must have been a wonder!
I took German 55 years ago in my sophomore year in college, so I have very limited German, but verwirren and verwirret are the same word for confused. see "show more"
een top prestatie
So do I Larry S.🙌🙌🙌🙌
Wat een groot top organist
Very good video
war eine sehr schöner Song.😘😘😘😘😘

❤👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️
Yes, I thought the organist was very good. I also think the alto was excellent.
👍👍👏👏👏👏🎵🎵🎶🎼🎻
This is wonderful! To me the setting seems so unusual, thoroughly enjoyable. Beautiful singing and playing. I am wondering what that strange curved instrument is next to the oboes. Is it an oboe d'amore?
It is an oboe da caccia. Bach used it in other cantatas as well, he may even have invented it. Listen to Martin Stadler's explanations regarding BWV 119 (in Swiss German, with English subtitles):

RIP Organist Norbert Zeilberger 1969-2012
stonebite 🙀
Beautiful performance. It's a pity, though, that the organ is so under-recorded; it's a strain to hear him, and he has (to my ears)easily the most interesting part to play. Those first two movements are finger-benders.
I don´t agree that the organist stole the show. He gives the rhythm in accordance with the director Rudolf Lutz. In german we would say, er treibt das Orchester etwas vor sich her. ;-)
English subtitles might help some of us, an excellent performance, and production.
We just activated the community contributions, which means that you can add subtitles if you wish to.
Good answer!
I answered my own question. I went to Wikipedia, and it states that BWV 35 was written for one alto. That is a lot to sing for one person.
Interesting. Thanks a lot for this information. This music is gold.
Bachstiftung: Did Bach write this for one alto? Seems like a lot to sing for one person.

Is the opening chorus in C# Minor?
9:11 Bonjour !
No, I don´t agree that the organist stole the show. He brings, for my opinion, a steadyness into the allegria of the orchestra, and for sure he would not do it without the permission of Rudolf Lutz, the brave conductor. To me, it´s a beautiful timing near to the edges of quickness. I did play big church organs as a young man. But not so virtously... ;-) Sorry for my imperfect english.
Meine Liebste!!!!
