The 'Fingerpoke' of Doom was simply the BEST 'heel to heel title change there has ever been. It was a PURE 'heel' move. I have never got why people are so down on it. Two guys in the same Heel Faction, what do you 'think' they are going to do? NWO's favourite bit was always laughing at the fans. The fact people still hold such disdain for it today over 20 years later proves how good a heel move it was!
I partly think the night they chose to do that, going up against The Rock and Mankind, Also with Schivione giving away the end of said wwf match…it did not go well for WCW that night and they never recovered in the eyes of the fan.
They weren’t really in the same faction, and it’s still pretty dumb either way. You join a stable to get power so you can get the title. Why would Nash give the title to Hulk? There is nothing in it for him. Plus it happened the day after Nash ended Goldbergs streak. So that was just pointless, Nash ends it to become a one day transitional champion? Wolf PAC was its own stable and wasn’t even really nwo (they called it an nwo off shoot but it was it’s own thing basically). It was incredibly popular on its own, it had no reason to unite with nwo Hollywood. If this happened before wolf pac then disregard that part, I can’t quite remember. But Nash giving up the title still doesn’t make a lot of sense. “They’re both bad guys” yeah, so?
you're going to have to be very specific on what year you think wwf only had only two hours of television a week, because they've had two concurrent broadcast programs since 1971
I thought wcw was losing shitloads of money. It was basically Ted turner’s pet project. Giving out all those guaranteed contracts to aging stars who basically only wrestled on ppv maybe the odd Nitro show. Hogan holding back the newer stars. It basically gave WWF a chance to jumpstart their attitude era by default. WCW was still basically promoting the late 80s and early 90s guys.
"so they like to be swerved but they don't want to be swerved." still the same today.

The match should've never been booked to begin with. The fact that anyone is still defending this in 2023 is ridiculous.
@@justint8635 The fact that people are still mad about it is even more hilarious.
One 2 hour live show a week was FINE! There's too much now for your average person with a life to keep up with.
I just watch the PPVs, with a few RUclips clips in between the big shows. This approach saves you a lot of time as a viewer.

@@glitchsister Look at the adjective. LIVE.
“Then you have guys at 7 o’clock saying that doesn’t work for me brother” 😄😄😄. Gee, Wonder who that could have been…
the biggest star in wrestling history who earned the right to say that doesnt work for me brother 🤣
Nash looking swole in this one
Same for WWE today. And really, the ratings and popularity slowly started to slip when Smackdown was introduced in 1999. Less is More.
no
no it didn’t
their peak ratings were in 2000 meaning they grew after the introduction of smackdown

The finger poke was another blemish on the world title that led to that belt meaning nothing.
Doesn't work for me brother!
Wrath?
30.000 in the Dome ..they didn’t keep their promise & the main event was a finger..no it was not just stupid 🙄
Wait so, is nash saying here that the booking is what killed WCW? I thought turner just didn't want wrestling? Why lie, kevvy?
No the execs at turner didnt want wrestling on the network
It was the time Warner aol merger that killed wcw and cnn

Try not to focus on the light on both of their forheads...
Nash thinks he's a genius. He's not.
Money says otherwise
You talk like you know him personally?
He's not a genius, he's a wizard named Oz.
aww scott, you seem angry.
did big bad nash hurt your widdle feelings
You don’t need to be a creative genius to know that having a tv show that runs as long as an aggressively long movie is a bad idea
