If you use reverb more as a sonic texture than as a subtle ambient effect, you’ll love the Walrus Audio Slo Multi-texture Reverb pedal. Three different reverb modes - Dark, Rise, and Dream - generate a huge range of effects, from smooth and lush to auto-swells and even atmospheric octave effects. Dial in some modulation (with three waveshapes available) for richly animated reverb trails. And for creative live performance potential, Slo’s momentary switching capability allows you to generate a brief burst of reverb to highlight specific notes or phrases.

!!!!! I HAVE ONE AND IM PISSED he’s so good 😂
Also Kudos for throwing in the Circa Survive riff.
I came here to say the same thing about the circa riff haha. Also probably buying one of these lil dudes.
I was already swooning, but hearing that just officially sold me on it lol. Ⴟ Can't wait to use this guy Ⴟ
Which riff are you referring to? At the 9:24 mark? I'm trying to figure out what song that is he plays there.
@@jeffreymccrickard2347 I'm in a band with Miles (Lightlow). That's part of a guitar part from one of the songs on our upcoming album. He plays several variations on riffs from that in this demo.
@@DaveMcCall I can't get that riff out of my head. Every time I pick up the guitar, I gotta play it. I love those chords. So is your band name lightlow?
This is definitely the guy for your demo’s, he’s awesome.
agreed!
he knows how to show what the pedal sounds like without being so into what HE sounds like lol
shoegaze subreddit started my rabbit hole that led here. i never thought id just be chillin out to a review video.
Thanks Miles! Nice work!
This is a very tasteful playing to display the beauty of this pedal.
Now this is how you do a demo. Great video, this sounds great. Nice job Sweetwater & great work, Walrus
🙌
@@sweetwater lol replies like this are why people love Sweetwater, you guys are great
Phenomenal Demo. The best descriptor of the properties this pedal possesses I have yet heard. What a great job using clear terminology, expressive execution, and at the same time, offering contextual playability. I have been trying to decipher from other reviews, the ethereal nature of this pedal in a complete picture. While other bits I've seen were great snapshots, this a more in depth overview that convinces me to add to the arsenal. Well done!
That Dark mode sounds killer. Well done man!
I want to compliment the pedal but wow the playing here is beautiful. I love your style :)
Excellent demo of Slo pedal! Showing off the strengths in a straight forward way. Have 1 arriving tomorrow, stoked! Had this Dream in my head for a long time now ...
Love how you went full doom at 6:30. That's what I wanted to hear, and you sold me on it. Great playing, love those chords with this pedal
Very thorough video. Your playing pairs great with the pedal. Kudos to Sweetwater for highlighting their employees. Dark mode sounds fantastic!
absolutely blown away by your demo. tone, playing, explanation of the product are all perfect. I'll take this demo over most of the ones done by dudes who do nothing but demos.
I'm completely sold on this pedal. Quite sure this will be my first ever pedal purchase. Thank you very much for the great presentation which really seems to bring out the capabilities of this gem.
Great playing and beautiful sounding guitar! I really like the chord progression played to demonstrate dark mode.
I love the tones people get out of this pedal on review demos but I've never been a fan since I bought this one. Just sitting on my board I haven't been able to get anything I love with it. Definitely a specific style of playing/music for this.
I feel so relaxed after watching this. Great player.
Great demo! And his real-world descriptions of the functions are really useful.
My wife took me to sweetwater and bought me this pedal for Father’s Day ❤
My man playing the most beautiful chords to ever exist omg
great work sweetwater, one of the best pedal demo's Ive seen
Thanks for checking it out! 👍
I legit nodded off multiple times to this video because the Slö is just so relaxing and ambient!
He's definitely all into what he's playin! 😅
Definitely playing Soma with this pedal!
My idea exactly! Just picked it up for Lyra-8!
Probably the best demo of the Slo. Very well done. I just picked up the red Anniversary edition.
Hey, I'm loving your playing! The perfect style to show off this pedal.
This is my favourite demo of this pedal. Thank you!
I'm glad someone with some jazz chops reviewed this, sounded awesome with your style my guy.
Great Video. I just ordered a Orange Rocker 32. I am also looking forward in introducing the Slo pedal. Thanks for the Demo.
Your playing is really good, thanks for this video!
MY DUDES, give Miles every delay pedal, I want to hear him play them all! A++
Ok I've just decided I'm getting this for Xmas. Man what a great pedal. Beautiful sounds. And damn this pedal sounds good with some fuzz ect . too
Damian Le Sarah If you didn’t get it yet it’s now $159, I just ordered mine from Sweetwater yesterday. 😁👍
@@sovtherngothic No not yet, thanks for the info. Aah can't wait to start dialling in those sounds and stacking every which way.
Best demo of this pedal that I've seen. Thank you!

What a pedal. I dismiss It when came out thinking it was another fancy reverb. But since a lot of people that I trust was praising this, I decided to check it out. It has very smart features, making It sound special. I'll have to buy it now
this thing sounds so frickn beautiful
Just ordered one. Excellent demo man.
Brilliant demo!
Love mines.. Walrus always killing the game with there amazing artwork and amazing pedals.. Thanks Sweetwater for this beautiful demo!
Amazing demo by Miles!
Have this dude demo pedals from now on!
Spectacular playing
This guy should write an instrumental album
Good job on this demo!
Have one, love it. Walrus or die!
Played with good style and taste!
AMAZING demo - thank you!
This should be called the Robin Guthrie pedal. So beautiful and just bought one!
O'Brother riff sold it for me.
It would great if Myles could demo the new stereo Sloer
Want to see him do more demo's!
Great sounds Great pedal Great demo...Thank you!
hell yes this review is amazing thank you sweetwater
lovely... nice demo
These pedal demos are turning into wine tasting parties. I love it. Very fine presentation, sir.
👍🍷🎶
That guitar and the playing is just sublime. The pedal is fair.
Thanks for this amazing demo! I immediately ordered one after this! one question though, what tuning are you playing in? I don't think it's standard tuning right?
Hey there, Gianni! Thanks so much for the kind words. Here I’m playing in Eb standard, so each string is a half step down.

never been suicidal but there's always another setting to get me there.
If this pedal was marketed as a Radiohead Ok Computer in a box typenpedal and dressed in the album graphics I wouldn't have been able to resist, because this sounds so Radiohead to me.
great video
Love the Robin Guthrie vibes!
It's official. I need one
Wow he's great!
the obrother riffff
Quick little correction. The "Depth" knob does not change the rate of modulation. The "Depth" knob changes how much modulation. However the rate of modulation is a available as a secondary function with the Depth knob.
Additionally, this needs to be true stereo in and out. Imagine that in a two amp configuration...
Nice shirt, where its from?
extreeemely good taste in your playng!! How can I buy your LP???
Our LP is probably still a month or two away. The best way to get notified would probably be to follow us on lightlow.bandcamp.com
anyone know what hes playing at 2:00 ? Sounds like a dream, would love the tabs for this.
Are you running it in the effects loop?
Wwwwwwwwwrrrrrrriiverrrrrrbbbbbbb :P
Does this pedal handle standard reverb sounds too? The dreamy sounds are great, but wanted to know if it also functions as a standard reverb
Thanks for your question, mkx85. Hope you and yours are safe and well. There are lots of useable sounds that may not be perceived as ambient, depending on the mix and how much decay and modulation are set. But if by "standard" you mean "room/hall/plate/spring," then no.
Please contact me direct if I'm not answering your question accurately or completely.

@@sweetwater thanks for the reply. Yes I meant room/hall/plate/spring. I've got another reverb pedal for those and have just purchased this one. This is a must for my new pedal board! great demo by the way.
Beautiful playing! What kind of chords do you use?
Sounds like a lot of maj7 chords. Pretty much standard for atmospheric guitar playing.
Dave Matthews chords. Check out Trippin Billies.
Really wishing it was a stereo pedal.
If I'm in dream mode, and I switch the secondary mode to sine, when I let go of bypass am I still in dream mode? Or dark mode and have to toggle back to dream?
You'll still be in dream mode. When you're holding down the knob and flip the switch, you only are changing the mod shape.
Exactly what I wanted to ask
Do you pronounce Slö as slow? Sloo? Slu?
How’s this compare to the Afterneath?
Hey there Peter, thanks so much for reaching out! The Afterneath and the Slö are quite different. Both are incredibly good in their own right, but have different uses. Give me a call, I'd love to dive into it with you!
Cheers,

I got my Walrus Audio Slo,of course through Sweetwater. And it kicks ass! You can hear it on the guitar and keys in my video.

This guy talks like will forte
its slö, not slow!!!
Looks like P90’s to me.
They look like P90s, but they're jazzmaster single coils. Very bright sounding
@@anthonysclafani3963 Those are Seymour Duncan custom wounds.
Jazzmaster pickups are not P90’s
He said humbuckers, they are clearly not.
shoegaze god we got here eh?
sales engineer? lmfaoooo
Sales "engineer". Of course you are.
It's official. I need one
