I knew that this would be a really good review video, and I was definitely right! This knife is the most unusual one in my collection - along with my CRKT Provoke, which I do not consider to be an actual pocket knife. When I get it back I will have to try to get it to unlock itself like it does for you... It never did that to me, but I've never used it as hard as you did as you are a competent knife reviewer and I am just an old guy... It most definitely is a top notch cardboard destroyer, but I found that it also works well for making precession cuts while making stencils and such on paper, cardboard, cardstock, etc. Thank you for another great video!
Yeah, sharpening any recurve blade is pretty tricky, even one as gently curved as this one... Basically you have to use the edge of a stone, which is kind of difficult to maintain your angle while freehanding. I have a 3D printed part for my Precision Adjust that I got on Etsy that uses sandpaper on a mostly round part which replaces the diamond stone holder. However, I haven't used it yet so I really don't know how well it works...
I really dig the eclectic look of this hawkbill, very cool, ambi clip, and super slicey. I think the lock is a non-compete as once you know, you know, which is how it is with every knife, whether it's hand placement, lock, clip, jimping, etc. Nice one, and I agree with your determination on the noodle cuts.

Thanks for the loaner, man! This was probably the most interesting knife I've reviewed all year. I had quite the journey with it 👍😂
That's a shame it wants to close on the user. I'm always concerned about trying to sharpen a hawk bill. Thanks great review

I should have talked about sharpening in this video. I did not sharpen this knife, but it would not be the worst recurve to sharpen.

Thanks for watching, man!
