- Serving a bow string is easier than you think. This video shows you how to serve a newly made flemish twist string, install string silencers, and add a temporary nock point. The materials and tools you need are outlined here. Serving your string helps with nocking arrows and remove abrasion that can cause string failure.

@@ScottWinters no problem buddy i just started making strings and now trying to figure out how to do the serving i also build bows osage orange bows hickory and did a red oak all self bows i build my own arrows too lots of fun
