Max Payne 3 is sooooo good. Probably one of the best third person shooters I’ve ever played. Great soundtrack too, and don’t worry you don’t really need to play the first two games to enjoy 3, it exists on its own.

You know something is clearly wrong with modern gaming, when older games on older systems are more worth buying, due to older games being more fun & enjoyable.
I would NOT invest in a buffer. They are too expensive and ruin games. Get some Cotten balls put isopropyl alcohol on it go from the inside of the disc out then get a microfiber cloth and do the same. Buffing is a last resort. It might not look pretty but the game usually works pretty well because you got the dust and what not out of the groves. It’s great for any type of digital disc format really.
Have you considered Enslaved Odyssey to the West? Similar play style to Unchartered with a story alike of Last of Us. Although Naughty Dog did do a better job, it is worth checking out. It also came out on 360
My favorite PS3 game of all time is mgs4. The special edition 80gb PS3 console paired with mgs4 was something I wanted so bad as a teenager. I ended up getting the 40gb regular PS3 console from Best Buy 399.99 plus 3 year warranty with 1 game came to 615 bucks. A lot for a kid. I should've saved a warranty extension for a Xbox 360 lol Also why didn't they go with Xbox 720 name? That would've been cooler. Also if they had the green ring a blue color instead!
Max Payne 3 is a MUST play. One of the greatest games ive ever played. I never played the first two either but you dont really have to to follow the story in the third one. Im surprised you got Def Jam Icon lol I remember playing that game back then and was so disappointed in it. Def Jam fight for NY is one of the greatest fighting games ever. I wish we could get another game like that from EA
FYI: the online servers for Battlefield Bad Company 1 and 2 were recently shutdown by EA late last year. The single player campaign is still playable, but not the multi-player.
Nice picks! I’ve been lucky in that retro shops have always been empty when I’m there, so I have my pick of their inventory :) I play Left 4 Dead on PC because I love all of the Steam workshop mods that let you customize everything. But I played it on Xbox back in the day.

I got mad lucky and got both Motorstorm and Motorstorm Pacific rift for just $10 on eBay. Both game had almost brand new looking condition boxes too, honestly I was skeptical until I play the game lol

Max Payne 3 is definitely in my top 3 favorite Rockstar games of all time. It's also one of the best and smoothest handling 3rd person shooters ever made! Hope you enjoy it when you get to play! I also must continue to encourage you also pick up Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Mirror's Edge on PS3. You'll be blown away! Would also recommend Binary Domain, a third person cover shooter made by the Yakuza devs!
You can get the retrovision component cable for it, and hook it to a Retrotink 5x or 4k upscaler. Looks great that way. I hook my Orig Xbox to the Retrotink, too.

Ring didn't scare me too much. I just remember wondering what would happen if you owned a really small TV. Would she get stuck? The Grudge on the other hand - that one scared the crap out me. Bully is such a cool game. You can't complain if they're working on a new Gta or Red Dead, but I wish Rockstar would release a sequel to Bully that maybe gives you a bit more freedom to do some crazy stuff, like blowing the school up at the end.

That said I was fortunate enough to play Left 4 Dead on PC years back and it was a fantastic game. I only ever played coop online and it was so much fun just fighting off the Zombie rush. Recently saw a video on RUclips where they talked about what went into that game and I think they did things like have hundreds of different ways a Zombie would fall so that the game seemed more natural/realistic. Anyway, great pick up. Also, you said Def Jam “games”, as in plural?!?
Yep, I have been buying big on the Xbox 360 games which are dirt cheap on ebay which have all been in pretty good nick. I have been buying many of the 360 titles in preference to the PS3 versions only because of backward compatibility, and tbh so many amazing and vary genres in that generation compared to what is coming out currently
