Up until last weekend my new workbench only existed in my mind and i rejected all ideas regarding retractable caster for various reasons. You idea is by far the best I've seen yet and I'm definitely stealing this😀. Thank you very much.
Exactly what I was looking for ,brilliant ,simple
So simple. I have seen other designs and this one by far is the best solution to add to existing structures. Tnx.
Finally, a simpele and efficiënt idea. Well done👍😁
Best solution for my workbench. Thx m8.
Excellent video - one of the best I've seen on retractable castors. (Was looking for an improvement on the lever system I'm using on my new mobile chicken home! Will do the same on the benches for my table saw, drill press, etc.)
great design!!
Brilliant !!!!!!
Great idea. Subscribing.
You make me think that the same principle you can apply it to a router lifter!!!
The idea is great, but I have doubts about the joint between the block and the rest of the bench. I imagine that's the weakest part of the bunch? Did any block ever come off?
What is the weight of your workbench with table saw on it ?
Good job sir and very simple in functionality. I am currently building a multifunctional 3' x 8' workbench to which I believe your retractable concept is what I need to avoid moving it without any lifting involved. I would be using a quanity of six 4" swivel casters with a 2 1/2" clearance from ground/floor to the workbench bottom underside. When completed the approximately weight of the workbench will be 400-600 lbs. Do you believe your retractable caster concept would work? Thank you
maybe you should use bigger bolts and casters which are strong enough
Great idea, and well done explanation! Curious to know how well you like it after a year or more of use. I am likely going to use the same method for a 400 lb workbench (when it is all loaded up). I have 4 castors each rated at 300 lb, and am planing to use 1/2” diameter bolt. Thanks for any input or changes you may suggest!
I'm looking at doing the same. If you are using 1/2" bolt, where did you find 1/2" T-nuts?
Can you give some details ?? size of block and size of bolt). Thanks.
Different to most of the other designs. 🤔👍🏼
So, any new video ideas? Keep well, enjoy Sommer!
Why not levelers that take the wheels up off the ground
i wanted to have a very sturdy stand when i use the tablesaw
And yet, another tutorial half-ruined by unnecessary music... Too bad because the idea is good.
