  • Once again, Greenwood would like to thank Commissioner Paul Burke and the Boston Fire Department for continuing to place their faith in Greenwood and E-One to fulfil their apparatus needs. Greenwood recently delivered 3 more new E-One Engines to the Boston Fire Department. The new rigs will go to E-14, E-33, and E-37. The new engines are built on the new severe service Typhoon cab. The chassis features front disc brakes, electronic stability control, a Cummins L-9 engine, and galvanized, powder-coated, and painted frame rails for superior corrosion resistance in the harsh New England winters. The cab also features barrier style doors, a custom line-x step package and a severe service “inner city” bumper.
Other features include a Darley PSM 1250 pump, a 560-gallon water tank, 30-gallon foam cell, a Foam Pro 2002 foam system, a Trident air primer, and a Whelen warning lighting package. Each truck has a short 165” wheelbase and a 28’ 3” overall length for superior maneuverability in the tight city streets of our state capital.
We remain grateful and continue to be humbled by the faith that the “First In The Nation” Fire Department has placed in Greenwood and Emergency One, and we certainly consider it a privilege and an honor to work with them!
