If you have a working 11 pro max. No way should you upgrade. It’s definitely not worth the money. After about an hour you will not notice any difference. Don’t do it. Keep the 11.
Exactly my thoughts, still running iphone 11, we'll see if I buy the 16, probably not.

I had the 11 pro max(3years) and it was a great phone but I traded it in for the 14 pro max last year(1month) ended up getting rid of that one for the 15 pro max.
Since this post my 11 pro has conked out so I’m now on 15 pro max. It is better but not enough to upgrade from a working phone. Dynamic Island I used one day. Not earth shattering.

The 11 pro max could definitely handle iOS 20 but i doubt Apple will want to support it for that long.
iOS 20? The problem is the 4GBs of RAM. Not really Apple's fault here.
I expect up to iOS 19.
Realize that iOS versions are going to get features for phones with twice the amount of RAM. That's the biggest hurdle.
Security updates will follow for a few more years after the last major update. They just pushed one for iOS 15 for reference on the iPhone 6S. That's insane.
@@RodknockRhettThe IPhone 11 Series will only go up to IOS 18. It’s like the XS and XR with IOS 17. iOS 20 requires an IPhone 12.
@@GarlandTexasSpotter2024 no one really knows what Apple will do. Hardware isn't getting as much faster like it was around the time the XS launched.
iOS is also slowing down in new features being added. We'll just have to wait and see. The hardware on the 11s is still on pair with a lot of mid range phones these days.
Yes l agree also iPhone 11 Pro Max has 6.5 screen size and every other pro max model has 6.7 screen size!

I got the 11ProMax 256gb, cuz I knew it’d be a reliable and lasting investment and sure enough it is. Still got it runnin smooth. I don’t update it cuz it slows it down, I charge it until about 95% and never leave it charging over night.
Why not leave it charging overnight?

Definitely wouldn't say the 15 is a significantly better phone at all. A fraction of a second app load time at best. Big deal. One reason apple makes so much cash is they force you to buy new phones via phasing out the older ones that still work great - oh, no more iOS updates, give us $1,000. I'm a tech of 25 and love apple, but it's pathetic.

Very interesting video as I once at the 11 Pro Max but now I have the 15 promax. As far as longevity and getting updates do updates really matter at all? I mean once you’re 11 Pro Max is up and running and fine tune you don’t need any more updates And as long as the phone continues to function if it gives you satisfactory results then you can use it until it simply stops? I think people get hung up on updates as the 11 Pro Max has all the features every person could ever use and the camera is still fabulous. Do you agree that people get hung up on updates that their phone doesn’t really need?
I agree. As far as new updates doesn’t mean the quality of the phone I got diminishes it’s quite fine.
I’m a proud owner of the 11 or max and will eventually just replace the battery apples worse nightmare! lol 😂

IMO, great call on the 6s->11PM. I still have the 11pm and, with exception of battery (going to apple to replace - even out of warranty), my 11pm works well. I might upgrade to 15pm due to personal circumstances. Otherwise, I’d wait until 16.

Best Lookin IPhone IMO; I love the steel rounded off edges, the OLED screen, the modest rear triple 4k pro cameras, the Rear Matte finish Glass Panel. It looks and feels premium asf man
Im keeping my 11 pro max 512 GB until it stops working. 93% battery life still and super fast with IOS17. No issues.

Wow the camera arrangement is pretty much the same just a bunch bigger on the newer iPhone. It looks tiny on the old iPhone 11 Pro Max
I have them both...I took the 11pro max everywhere even during the pandemic and I got decent pics and videos, and it does the basics well. I don't do games on my iphones, but now with the 15pro max and the USB-C connector a new world of options is available. But only hard core gamers or iphotoghers/ivideographers will care...I sure do! I will use it to create on line content with a gimbal for sure. Tired of cropping my regular 4K video from a Sony FX30 to make vertical video. This 15pro max is truly a pro video phone for social content. For anything else I'm keeping my FX30 and other cameras-I can't always carry them around
I'm a pro photographer and have destroyed others with DSLR cameras, using my iPhone 11. It's not about the gear.

It just proves that you don’t need to upgrade my 11 pro max is still super smooth and was thinking of upgrading but for what there’s no point not much innovation any more in fact the look of the 11 is a lot nicer the 15 looks cheaper

Dynamic island is a flaw,no matter how you look at it. It is a flaw and in order to hide the flaw they tried to convrrt it into a feature, making it more big of a flaw than it ready was. The dynamic island

I was going to wait it out but my poor 11 pro max finally had it with me. It slowed down and eventually did want to push update because I only had 64 GB on my phone. I paid for the iCloud storage but it still wasn’t enough to get the updates to push. My 15 pro max was worth it for my needs. I was trying to wait until the phone actually looked and operated different but Apple plays with our pockets

I love my 11 pro max display. My main phone is 13 pro, and it just doesn’t feel as good. 120hz on the 13 is great though
yeah but why would you recommend it unless there is a night and day difference????? There has to be a actual real reason other than just get the latest and newest... sounds like the cost doesn't justify the features
O hace the 11 pro Max 512 gb and i’ll definitely keep it for at least another year, I love it and I don’t feel that I need a new device for now
To be real Im a normal user and with all the performance, design is still TOO good for daily using even the hour uses accept 120hz aside, and if you broke try to save some money it’s still a valid option
The ironic part is nobody actually uses the pro features of the new cameras, so there's barely a difference between the 2 unless you turn those features on. And that would fill the phones too fast for normal users. Blows my mind how many people are buying these crazy phones and not using them for what they paid for.
Got the 11 64gb had it for 4 years! Just bought A 11pro Max 256gb to replace it as the 64gb isn’t enough anymore! I think the iPhone is still very useful in 2024 for the average person!
I'm sticking with my 11 Pro Max for another year. The only reason I see to upgrade for me is the camera.
All my iOS gaming is done on my M1 iPad Pro. And I don't game that much.
Regular apps look pretty much the same.

I was gonna wait another year but unfortunately my 11PM sustained water damage, so I was forced to buy a new phone at this point. I decided to go with the 15 pro 512 rather than the 15 pro max because the 11 pro max always used to dig into my leg. And I’m a guy with big pockets. I’m very happy with my purchase, and if you keep telling yourself to wait another year for a phone you’re gonna end up till your phone dies waiting, haha. Anyway, like I said, I would have waited another year otherwise
@@znub206 my 11 Pro Max just survived water damage. I was always careless around water as it’s water resistant. One day, the seal gave out right at the top. It was working perfectly for 20 minutes after exposure then just shut off. A few days later, after setting it on the dash of my truck, it dried in the sun. Working ever since.
The only benefit I would have with the upgrade would be external ProRes recording for my channel. Slightly better quality obviously. But I’ve looked at comparisons. I’d rather get another year out of this phone since it is now getting heavy use to help grow my channel. Kind of sentimental with it too as that phone has been with me through a lot of things over the years.
@@RodknockRhett Yeah I get you. I loved my iphone 11 pro max. It was my baby. Had legendary battery. The OG long battery too as it was the first iphone with the upgrade. I hope you can spend more time with yours before the inevitable upgrade
@@znub206 yeah. I’ll keep it as a secondary phone when I do upgrade. Original battery too. The 11 Pro Max was an awesome release for Apple. Probably the best since the iPhone 4S in terms of durability and reliability.

See this is why I’m switching to android. How do I have a phone that is 5 years old and the only difference is 2cm, a slightly faster processor and camera, is. C and a “Dynamic Island”. I’m sick of apple not putting anything into their phones even after 5 years.

@@sammroi.w I upgraded to the iPhone 15 pro max :) but on my 11 pro max i would wake up at 6am with it at 100% and by 11am it’s at 60% now with my 15 pro max I’m at 80% by 4pm with moderate usage

I disagree slightly. The only downgrade here is the finish of the frame. Everything else is better on the 15 Pro Max.
