I honestly like how Ridley attacks non-stop. In fact, I like how his consistent gimmick throughout the franchise is almost always “There is no gimmick. Die” and it’s just an all-out slugfest with him.
Agreed! I audibly gasped when he was only placed in B tier; S was preferred, A was understandable, but B was a surprise 😮. Otherwise and overall, a great video
Unfortunately, when I fought him, he just spammed his lunge attack during his second phase, even after I died once or twice; the only way I could damage him was by getting into a rhythm to dodge his lunges and wait for him to use his plasma breath, which was the only other attack he even attempted to use. Bad RNG I guess 😑
A good way to beat the Omega pirate is using power bombs. You roll right up to it, place a power bomb at its feet and it will pretty much destroy all but one piece of armor. So keep power bombs on hand.
I get the feeling that for the parasite queen you just shoot her enough times to make her loose her grip. Falling to the core where she meets it's demise.
Another N E A T detail during the Omega Pirate fight, you have to break the lock and get in HIS room. And then after beating his smug face, YOU are the monster being released from the Phazon Mines.
The Chozo Ghosts are simply the most annoying and obnoxious enemies I’ve ever dealt with in any game. I especially hate that they respawn, so every time you’re forced to return to an area, you have to fight their stupid faces again.
The enemy's animation as you pointed out with the Parasite Queen is one of the things I look for when I fight a non human enemy in any game. How they look and how they move is what I look for in good enemy design. Final Fantasy XIV has a lot of monster models whose movements look great cause they behave like how a wild animal would in real life.
The Wavebuster is my favorite Anti-Cloaked Drone tool, especially on hard mode. It immediately locks on by itself and does not let go until that bot explodes. It saved me a *massive* headache during my hard mode run!
Every time I watch one of your videos I get sad because I get reminded of Xenoblade Chronicles X. I’m not even asking for a remake, just a port but we have to keep the hope up. Great video as always.
I like all the lore videos you do! I usually struggle with understanding the lore in some of the games but your videos really help out! Also i approve the tier list except for meta ridley. I put him in s tier because he's the most iconic boss in the game and it was pretty creative to incorporate both a flight phase and a flightless phase into ridley. He's just as dangerous on the ground as he is in the air.
You know, honestly, I think more videos like this could be fun to see. Maybe a Dread or Prime 2 ranking next? That could be fun. Either way, glad you're back! Looking forward to whatever new stuff you're cooking up for us.

Unrelated but im playing a super metroid randomizer right now and lost quite a bit of health, so im standing beside an enemy respawn pipe to bring my health back up, but I got bored and put this on in the background while I hold down shoot and restore.

My favourite boss just might be the parasite queen from the frigate Orpheon. While I might be 13 I have exquisite taste in terms of bosses and gameplay. For one I am one of your zebesians or federation soldiers so I understandably like the frigate Orpheon as a location for a boss, a spooky vibe and fearsome pirates to fight, it is a great location to fight a boss. Also your channel name (yay). The design of the creature also propels it to be my favourite, with the so ever insect like design to the anatomy of its body, it’s quite frightening to a first time player. Finally it is a great tutorial to the game introducing you to some of the mechanics. Like sidestepping . This makes it my personal favourite. I still really enjoy the other bosses, like flaahgra and meta Ridley. Please leave responses at your wish. Please crocomire accept me.
Return of the king 🙏 Glad to see you're still making awesome Metroid videos! You definitely need to rank Prime 2's bosses at some point since that game arguably has some of the best bosses in the entire series.
Honestly the omega pieate can be made a lot easier when you realize a well placed power bomb can one shot all the beam troopers or instabtly destroy his armor
Love the Metroid Prime boss design, but they really should have tweaked the second phase. It should attack you with different moves and take way less to bring down.
Powerbomb kills all the armour pieces it touches (so jump and use it) and he always spawns to regenerate in the pool that is furthest/different from the one you are closest to. With the latter information, you can know where he will spawn. The first time is always where he started, but you can stand next to one of the other two pools to make him spawn at the one you are not near and not the one he was just at. If that makes sense. That should make it a bit easier. He also kills his own troopers with the shockwave, so you can just dodge the little guys until he gets them
Read on if you want to make him trivial (this applies to the remaster, but also some bits work on other versions as well). Go into morph ball use the spring ball to jump and place a power bomb between his legs, get away to avoid him moving too much or hitting you. This should remove at least two his two leg plates, a third is likely. If you're lucky with how he's staggered or you placed the bomb in a good spot all four will be destroyed near instantly. Follow up with plasma beam charge shots on any surviving plates. Once he goes invisible, switch to X-Ray which you probably already know. That charge a power beam shot, keep it held until he appears to restore himself, unload a super missile into him. If you're quick you might defeat him before he can even recover, if not. Just repeat this process until he's dead. Ignore his adds. Their damage is minimal as you're moving around and Omega Pirate himself will kill them with his attacks.
didnt care for omega pirate just because you need to switch visors and beams on the fly, which they are not designed to be able to do at the rate you need for all the different troopers, its pretty slow in the moment so it s a lot of fumbling thus wasted time.

On my last playthrough i had the Metroid Prime not spawning a phazon pool for over 10 minutes and thought my game was softlocked.
Very unlucky cycle.

For omega pirate much easier is just ignore small pirates. Fight was much shorter because boss had less posibillity to regenerate health

how about you make a video comparing phason to the flood? they're both extremely dangerous, but which poses more danger overall?

Prime 1s bosses mostly kinda suck imo. There's a few good ones, but a lot of them are either super simplistic, very tedious, or both.
Prime Core was so boring. Even on Hypermode, i was just looking at my phone and would occasionally look at the screen just so i could jump
