Here is an easy hack to increase the flame size on your lighter like crazy!!! This project is dangerous so be careful and don't overdo it because the fire could go into the lighter and explode. BE SAFE!!!

Nope. If you left it to burn then the flame gets smaller and the gas doesn't escape.
Bic lighters are the only ones that work without problems 95% of the time

If you turn it like 10 times and only press the gas, you can instantly freeze stuff. If you do it on your hand it won't hurt it will just be cold for a moment

@geneticcheatah zippo lighters are more expensive. vic is just a high quality, small, cheap, on the go lighter. rather zippo is expensive for new lighter fluid, the brand it’s self, and u can’t really adjust the flame

I feel like 90% of the people talking about their lighter explode are just lying. I've been doing this for ages, and never ever has anything happened to me. His lighter isn't good for this. The ones I used never spout out butane on the sides. The flame is usually half an inch to an inch away from the lighter

If yall know what colt lighters are, they are similarly sized as zippo lighters but the mechanism is the same as on the lighter on this video, now they have a metal thing covering the middle part of the wheel for some reason or another, but you can remove this thing and removing it makes the performance much better, not over the top like this but the flame is mb 2/3 larger

note, you see how the flame did not die out completely, this is because it is now constantly leaking, turn it down just a little, and it should stop leaking.
My lighters just set on fire and burned my hand
Edit: My lighter exlpoded and i threw my lighter on the ground, i knew i had to get it out so i picked it up while still on fire and threw it in the sink. I burned my hand and a bit of carpet. Didnt work out for me

I just found out Major makes lighters without the adjustable lever and to modify the flame size is just like what you have in the video except you need a tweezer to turn the cog. Simple as pie! Just only turn it about 3-4 teeths worth to get the flame at max.

well a bic lighter didn't blow up in my hand
You realize that if you do that modification it doesn't allow the butane valve to completely close, which constantly lets gas into the air. This in turn can result in a fire if set somewhere in the house. I know this because you have to blow it out, which means you are supplying too much oxygen to the flame which puts it out, but leaves gas spewing out in small amounts.

The whole "going back down the tube and exploding in the lighter" is called a flahsback, it happens in oxyfuel welders, and when i studied engineering we had to learn how flashbacks happen and why.

Someone in my PE class lit one of these lighters in the locker room. He regrets this now bc it made a mini explosion. Three kids went to the hospital for being too close to it.
+Jerry Sonnier I call bull shit. i have seen a full lighter explode; they would have to be within one inch for it to do any damage worthy of a hospital trip. and even then the worst that would happen would be second degree burn, which can be cured very easily by putting some vinegar on a paper towel and setting it on the burn.
