I own a Sepang Blue V10 Coupe with a gated manual and its absolutely everything I dreamt of and more! Its a car I will never sell. They are the last of a dying breed. Still many analog elements(hydraulic steering, mechanical handbrake, mechanical LSDs, an atmospheric V10, and, of course, the gated manual gearbox) yet the exterior styling was way ahead of its time and still looks very modern even in today's standards. Its aged gracefully. Sure fire future classic that will be worth significantly more in the decades to come!
I got a 2010 gated R8 with the V8 last March and absolutely love it.... If I want to go fast in a straight line I hop in my Tesla M3P, if I want an amazing driving experience I hop i the R8.....
Buying a car as an investment has lots of risks. The cost of servicing, the cost of storage, the cost of items that degrade over time like tyres and brakes and potential repairs. You would also want to own a warranty with a V10 or V12 engine as it can be rather expensive if something were to go wrong. In addition, cars that typically do well over time are limited edition models or limited production models. You can currently get 4.74% from a 1 year savings account which is risk free. So whilst the R8 V10 may be a great car, I am not sure it is an investment vehicle.
Emission reduction regulations is our freedom being removed to not having the choice go out and buy a vehicle we want also to note the emissions regulations requires the Porsche 911 gt3rs to become hybrid/turbocharged quite soon.
My understanding is that the V10 in the R8 comes.from.the Audi.4.2 and.not the Lamborghini which was a 5.0ltr. Audi did not like.the design of the Lambo so developed thier own. The fact that the Lambo name is all over the V10 in the R8 is just part of the marketing plan.
Missed the point entirely, an A class doesn’t look, sound or feel anything like a V10 R8 It’s also a lot quicker in any roll race scenario but that doesn’t matter anyway
My 0 cylinder Tesla does 0-60 in 3.1 seconds, but when I want to have an experience of driving a timeless beauty with a gated manual transmision I enjoy the experience of my R8

Nice! I don’t blame you - never sell it

My 4 cylinder amg45s does the same time from a 2 litre think about it ...Mercedes forever

@@bwdrives Exactly, the R8 is more then just 0-60 times....
It’s quite a hard comparison this. It’s like saying a Tesla is quicker (We all know it is) but we also all know which car we would rather be sat in
Bet your a class sounds like a 10 cylinder at 8500rpm too 😂
