I remember I used to hit a lot with the women professionals at Hopman because they would avoid each other like the plague if they were top players. The ones who seem to cool it down are the ones who have proven things to themselves. It's hard to find that zen-like zone when you are screaming. She will learn. She is at IMG now and they will improve on that. I like her. She's a beauty and she carries herself well. I'll be spending 2 months. I think Sloan Stevens grew up there and apparently Martina Navratalova lives nearby. Nick Saviano is based there. I really like Danielle and also Amanda Anisimova, so I get upset when people bash them and I don't really think her screams are as bad as Sharapova, or many of the others (even Halep). I'll be at the Miami Open (I saw Anisimova sprain her ankle in the match last year in Miami)
You forgot the part in the 3rd set when she started to grunt midpoint the umpire gave her a soft warning on the changeover and Danielle asked the umpire if it bothered Sakkari. She’s one of the only women on the pro tour who played college tennis. As far as I know she’s the only period in the top 100. In college tennis this is commonplace. That’s where she learned this behavior. People who watch pro tennis only just aren’t used to it.

everyone, not double. I am a tennis fan and I have seen and watched hundreds of matches, where tennis players like Maria and others celebrate when their opponent makes an unforced error, and YET I have never heard the commentators say anything negative towards that behavior
This is like the reaction of World Class table tennis players ( both male & female), though not all ...
They often celebrate very loudly even when opponents make errors..!
It's funny that most comments are bashing her. But there is the same video praising her passion for the game with all positive comments.

Having a let court is part of the game. I don’t say sorry, because the net is part of the game, when it dribbles over it’s a good shot. I understand the feeling when you need to fire yourself up. Also, what is wrong with celebrating after a long rally when ur opponent makes an error? If it’s forced she can scream all she wants. If you are not a tennis player and you are watching this you don’t understand what is going through these girls minds. You don’t understand how important these matches are and if you have to scream to pump yourself up them scream.
There are no unforced errors except when your opponent does not show up...
I was listening to her match today against Kenin and she seemed so highly strung and weird. Not likeable at all. Glad she lost.

These 2 just played in Montreal and there was plenty of drama again. Collins telling Sakkari to shut her mouth. Honestly, Danielle Collins is almost Yulia Putinseva level now for drama and rudeness. She hasn't quite reached Ostapenko in that regard, but give it time. What a tnuc.

Oh, "come on." Serena is the worst ever. Serena is the poorest sport and uses every advantage she can grasp or invent. Serena is worse than John McEnroe ever was. Personally, I like Collins. I like her uniqueness and her fighting spirit.

Your opponent is trying to make you make errors. When he succeeds it's cause for celebration. Unforced error is self delusional concept. Need I remind people this is not a game but a BUSINESS !!!
