This happens in college matchplay. Totally normal but does not translate well to the pro tour. It's unprofessional.

They don't scream on every point in college like MANY of the pro women.

      Roy Baty
True. But it depends on how high the pressure is and it seems to be a lot stronger against heated rivals. Most of that is self pressure. I used to coach in the Tampa area (Hopman Academy/Saddlebrook and IMG) and she is not known for being a bad sport. (she is from that area as well)

@@longgrayline8055 In Danielle's case, she is a sexy woman and they are often hated by other women, so she has that natural combative attitude. I think once she gets the recognition she deserves (top 20, etc), she'll calm down on the tension. IMO the phony ones are the ones who scream every time regardless of the pressure.

    • @longgrayline8055
      @longgrayline8055 5 лет назад +6

      Roy Baty
I 100% agree. There is a lot of cattiness in there. I remember I used to hit a lot with the women professionals at Hopman because they would avoid each other like the plague if they were top players. The ones who seem to cool it down are the ones who have proven things to themselves. It's hard to find that zen-like zone when you are screaming. She will learn. She is at IMG now and they will improve on that. I like her. She's a beauty and she carries herself well. She doesn't need to give her opponents that extra incentive to beat her by getting them fired up. A week with Borg would take care of that. Hahahahaha. The Ice Man

@@longgrayline8055 In a few days I'm heading down to Plantation Florida and will be playing with the snowbirds in Central Park tennis center there. I went last year for the first time. I'll be spending 2 months. I think Sloan Stevens grew up there and apparently Martina Navratalova lives nearby. Nick Saviano is based there. I really like Danielle and also Amanda Anisimova, so I get upset when people bash them and I don't really think her screams are as bad as Sharapova, or many of the others (even Halep). I'll be at the Miami Open (I saw Anisimova sprain her ankle in the match last year in Miami)

    Unusual Police Contact
One of the first signs that you may be under criminal investigation is experiencing unusual or unexpected contact with law enforcement. This could include being pulled over for minor traffic violations more frequently than usual or receiving unsolicited visits from police officers at your residence or workplace. If you find that the police are reaching out to you without an apparent reason, it could be an indication that they have taken an interest in your activities.
    Police Surveillance
Surveillance is a common tactic used by law enforcement agencies during investigations. If you notice suspicious individuals loitering near your home, workplace, or regular hangout spots, it could be a sign that you are being monitored. Pay attention to unusual behavior from individuals who seem out of place or exhibit consistent patterns of observation. Additionally, you might notice unfamiliar vehicles parked near your property for extended periods, potentially equipped with surveillance equipment.
    Unmarked Police Vehicles
While marked police cars are easily identifiable, unmarked vehicles present a more discreet way for law enforcement to conduct surveillance. Keep an eye out for unmarked cars that seem to be following you or frequently appear in your vicinity. These vehicles may not have the traditional police lights and sirens but could still be used by law enforcement to track your movements.

She's not the only one who acts like this. Way too many girls have exaggerated responses after every point. Screaming "come on," fist pumps, and all sorts of gestures. It's like....relax....it's game 3 in a first round match. You're not in a third set tiebreak in the USO final. The days of Chris Evert class are long gone.

Well, I like Danielle. Collegiate players have a small window but you can definitely track the importance of the point by the volume but then again I was a McEnroe fan back in the day. So many female players that squeal on every point. I often watch matches with the volume off. Those giant mics they put on court intensify everything.

I find the celebrations acceptable, as she has won the point by that stage. What I can´t stand is when she suddenly ups the noise level mid rally, and on some points grunts loudly at evert shot, whilst on others being completely silent.

I believe the commentators were extremely rude and partial towards Ms. Collins. I am not a fan of hers, but I stand for what is right and being fair and having only one standard for
everyone, not double. I am a tennis fan and I have seen and watched hundreds of matches, where tennis players like Maria and others celebrate when their opponent makes an unforced error, and YET I have never heard the commentators say anything negative towards that behavior

Having a let court is part of the game. I don’t say sorry, because the net is part of the game, when it dribbles over it’s a good shot. I understand the feeling when you need to fire yourself up. Also, what is wrong with celebrating after a long rally when ur opponent makes an error? If it’s forced she can scream all she wants. If you are not a tennis player and you are watching this you don’t understand what is going through these girls minds. You don’t understand how important these matches are and if you have to scream to pump yourself up them scream.
