Danielle Collins on the court seems sort of tough but she is concentrating on her game, trying to achieve her best. She is a hard worker who played college tennis on Florida's public courts while others had personal coaches. She achieved everything on her own. She is always respectful of her opponents in her speeches. She did not win this championship but she is on the right path to win one soon. Ash Barty is an example of a player with class and dignity at all times. Congratulations to both players!

Danielle Collins has come a long way since her NCAA college days. She's improved dramatically over the past few years. She has a fiery game and so tenacious on the court. But off the court she can be so charming as the speech indicated. Well done on your first career Grand Slam final, Danielle. Oh, congrats to Barty. What an amazing player.

What a result! Coming back from 5 - 1 down was amazing! Was very surprised with Collins complaining about the crowd multiple times.....the crowd wasn't being overly loud or disrespectful at all.... I've seen a million times worse all around the world.... I think as soon as she stopped being focused on the game and starting obsessing over an imaginary crowd shed lost it, shame, would have been nice to play a 3rd set

Right, if she can’t handle a crowd that’s only 80% capacity in Australia, then good luck next year. She choked a 5-1 lead in the second, that has nothing to do with the crowd. That’s pure nerves.

@@Q_from_Star_Trek Yes, if you understand where a person is coming from, you can better understand their behavior. In Danielle’s case, despite having a successful college career, no one respected her since she wasn’t a great junior and turned pro later in life. Also college tennis is very raucous and competitive so the liberal pundits were offended by her. I love her, hope she continues to do well.
