This exact spot was the spot i grew up fishing at, plenty of big bream and perch where you first started then across the other side of canal to the left is good for pike and down to the right before boatyard is good for pike and perch.
Cracking video and good info. For some reason the perch on my local canal are very wary to take small lures or creature baits for some reason but can catch them all day using maggots and worms
You should always use a trace when fishing canals. It's very irresponsible to not use one, because you are likely to get a pike biting through your line.

Pike fishing in the dark on canals tends to be better than during the daylight
What landing net was you using please??
Where's best in Norfolk? Got the broads but not many canals near me.

There can’t be many places where perch and pike don’t mix. Decent pike will take a tiny lure so I always use a trace. 0.2mm wire is very hard to see.
Was there Sunday m8 you walked rong way
Never seen the place mate, I had 2 choices, left or right 😂 it’s a nice venue though 👍
