I hate to be the bummer comment but I think a new (or newer) Prius is in order. These larger more luxurious vehicles you’ve been trying out simply don’t have the same magic. Just an opinion; you do you!

Van life looks good! So much room for activities in there. The ability to stretch out and stand up in a vehicle is extraordinary. I’ve been traveling with my pup out of my suv and on rainy days I wish I could actually stand up inside it haha

@@NikkiDelventhal In your search for a new vehicle I would consider what parts may be hard to find in the future, with supply chain issues possibly getting worse. I would pick a lot of mechanics brains right now in regard to this. Just a thought. Good luck in whichever decision you make!

After renting one of these campers it’s like I can’t live without one, you’re in nature anywhere and you got your home right with you, you don’t have to worry about that commute to get and cook are having to look for a restroom I love these vans 😊

You know what's incredible? That Toyota Sienna Hybrid you checked out gets the same gas mileage as a little Chevy Spark... How they doing that???
I was not sure with the Sienna but I did a ton of research and it does seem even tho a much more complex seating arrangement that there are ways to take out the second row seats and put in "fake airbags" so the codes don't go off. Would be a little nerve racking tho! hahah With the prius is was 16 years old and I ididnt mind ripping the seats into shreds hahah! Only issue is now, looking for a Sienna woodland edition, I couldn't find a single one in the USA! WILD! I think my decision is gonna be ultimately what comes in in less than a year! hahahah

I think with most vehicles right now you'll have to order what you want from the dealer and wait a little while to get one. The Woodland Edition is really nice, I like the built in 1500 watt inverter and the fact that you can leave your A/C on at night just like the Prius.

I love the idea of living like this, I setup my SUV in a way I can sleep inside and go on short trips but I am very scared that something bad will happen and end up never going. (I am a 6'2, 200 pounds guy). Your videos and history are really inspiring, I went to college very young and now as adult don't like my career as much as I thought I would... I might get a few weeks off and finally go explore Colorado this summer.

Nikki, I've been a long time follower, but I don't think I've commented before. I just wanted to say how awesome I think it is that you support the LNT movement and pick up after other people. I've taught my kids to do the same thing when we go to parks or camp. And camping etiquette - oh my, some people just don't care about anyone other than themselves and their own comfort level. But keep fighting the good fight and being a positive role model for women of all ages!

I took a trip of a lifetime in 2015. I left SC in a 4 dr civic. NC TN AR TX OK NM CO WY MT ID UT and back. Tent camping. Campers are so Friendly !!! 3 months Ill never forget. Loved all of NM.

Having just had one of you're videos come onto my RUclips feed recently I'm really enjoying you're adventures. You are absolutely gorgeous with a personalty to match & the relationship you have with Camper & how you met is something else. I couldn't do without my buddy Carlow ( my Cocker Spaniel ) they become more than just an animal & companion but something more special. God bless you on your journeys.
Ms.Delventhal, I think this van is perfect for you. Yes, it does not get as good on fuel, and the fuel is more expensive. It will help save money in other ways. Where it wins is durablity and security. You can take it everywhere, and it will not break as easy. It is also harder to break into, this keeps the pervs out. You are a pretty woman, and people have no respect these days.
Actually,some other Vanlifers with a Van similar got broken into easily with this van. The burglars broke the front triangle side glass & unlocked the doors easily. Quickly stole what they could.

Who goes out to camp to sleep in? Get out there enjoy the time while you’re there. Maybe choose a more secluded spot where activities are few and far between. Obviously don’t post up on a beach where water sports abound. Sheesh, some peoples kids. You’re the guy that goes camping at off-road trails and complains the engines are too loud.
No noise hours are generally 11pm to 7am. No generators at night. Bad man!

This looked like a good tryout experience with the van , this seemed like a better size than many I’ve seen . I guess the big concern would be fuel costs. I guess what you are doing is by far the best way to come to a decision. Video just wasn’t the same without Camper 👍💕🙏🤗🎩

Yes, defiantly do a Camping Etiquette Video. In my younger days I rode motorcycles & dune buggies in the desert, usually with a bunch of families, I slept in the bed of my El Camino.
We always took more trash out than we created. We tried to leave the camp grounds & surrounding area look like we were never there. Have Fun, Be Safe.
There was always a cringe-factor for me when considering a Prius. Too much can go wrong with all the advanced electronics, warning lights up the yang yang. Experts once said that with all the preventative maintenance on a Prius, gas prices would have to reach $6 dollars a gallon in order it to be economically fesible, worth it. Well, looks like that time has come. I hope you get your Prius back or a new replacement, its part of what has made your channel what it is, believe it or not.
The Prius and other Toyota Hybrids are technological marvels and surprisingly economical. Problems can be expensive to repair, but they just don't happen that often and with proper care and maintenance 300,000 miles life expectancy is not out of the question.
The Prius is rated one of the most reliable vehicles on the road and certainly one of the most economical. But if you're going to drive it over rough roads constantly it's not built for that.
Can't imagine my life and livelihood being defined by the brand of car or van I travel in. Whatever Nikki decides, her appeal and channel go well beyond the Prius.
I haven't had any problems with my 2009 Prius. I luv it.
Your statement is incorrect. I know people with first and 2nd gens with 200-300k miles with little to no maintenance. My buddy had to replace a couple cells. Cost him a few hundred bucks. These things last forever. Batteries and electric motors are extremely simple.

It's a shoreline. If it's not an ocean, gulf, or great lake, it's not a beach. It looks like Goose Lake. 🙂
Telephone cove near bullhead city. 7 days no charge. The only thing that concerns me is reports of coyotes killing dogs. You need to keep them on a leash. Check out her video and comments “ desert oasis to mints”. I think
@@hollyjordan893 Are you sure? I looked on Google Maps. Telephone Cove is part of the Colorado River and near NV not CA. She said they were at a lake and they got to it from CA. I'm thinking it's Goose Lake, but I don't know for certain.

Nikki, I have a question.....what is your average driving time when you do the long road trips? I just drove from AZ to the Central Valley, CA for 14 hrs. That night when I went to sleep, I thought that there was a bird in my room flying around, but there wasn't. I take it that I drove too long that day and maybe that's what caused me to hallucinate. I know, sounds crazy but it's true. Love your vids and Camper. You inspire me to go outside and travel more, which I intend to do this summer. Thanks..
