Channels that have change hosts in the pass, tend to die not long later. There is no Pirates of the Caribbean with out Johnny Depp. Without Bradley there is no Sumsub, from reading the comments he is why a lot of people subscribed.

Yeah, that's a no for me, dawg. I subscribed because I enjoyed the host, style, and content. If you throw it all away, there's not much point in sticking around as a subscriber unless the new content is exceptional.

If you look at the views of most of the videos, they're probably not making any money. That's why they're looking for volunteers. This channel is a shitshow, i'm out
I really liked Emily. I feel like this is either a social experiment to see our reaction, or they sold the channel to new creators.

Bradley is the reason why I'm studying computer science right now, for the sake of cybersecurity soon. I'm a freshman and it took me a lot of courage to take the course because I was having a crisis of what to pursue back then. Sad to see him (and the rest) go.

Honestly I don't know how well this is going to work out... Bradley basically became the face of sumsub for a time and Emily, whilst new, did amazingly! Lucas did some of my favourite topics, and also just did awesome.
I dont think this is going to last, to be quite honest; but I'm willing to give it a chance as I hope most will!

I will deeply miss the hosts and the elaborate sets, they are what made this channel so fun to watch while learning and set a new boundary for creativity that other channels never stepped in to, however, I with the channel the best of luck and the old hosts too, and really wish they can come back at some point in the future.
Sounds like you're restructuring and cutting costs, and that the YT channel is the first casualty. The plea for volunteers to do a job you paid Bradley, Emily & Lucas to do is quite a ballsy move - all I can say is good luck!

There must have been quite a falling out to loose 3 presenters, and having to re-look at the format of their content.

yeah I saw nothing wrong with their videos. Except for the fact their recent videos are getting really low views, like REALLY low. But these guys are a big company, I figured youtube was a sidegig while helping advertise the company.

Bradley was the one who defined SumSub for me. To see all 3 hosts not be a part of this anymore is pretty confusing. Guess we'll have to wait and see how the reinvention turns out

@Hoxton There is. I think it's an X or something. Shorts are still annoying to watch on PC tho cuz the aspect ratio.
I also felt my heart sink within me when i heard that Bradley is gone.
I had legit attached to him, it kinda feels like he went with the channel.
Though im still looking forward to the future with the new changes.

Sumsub, I get it, your not Bradley, Emily ,and Lucas, however to many viewers, including myself, you are. I understand you probably won’t be able to reverse that change, however, if you can, please for the love of god do. I’m not going to unsubscribe, however i am now extremely reluctant to watch any future content.

Well, Bradley made this channel what it is. Lucas and Emily also did great work.
Without them there is nothing left... I don't think the old format was dated at all and I'm not very interested in where you want to take the channel, it doesn't fit the same demographic and if you think it does you won't last very long.
I hope you will find new people in that demographic but sadly I can't stay around, the competition is fierce and you're obviously not able to put in the resources that will be required to make something unique, at best this will basically be a copy of Vice.
Lucas, Emily and Bradley need to make their own account using the exact same model as sumsub, I'd much rather them be the hosts than the current sumsub who sacked them for bigger profic margins

Chances are they were just script readers with someone in the cybersecurity company, Sumsub, writing the scripts for them.
The way Bradley and Emily presented the topics was what made the channel unique and the content worth watching for me.
I don't think letting them go is a very good decision. This seems like a jump-start towards the channel's demise.

You are going to change the content, the content style and hosts all at the same time! This will make it an entirely different channel with just old name, Sumsub.
Unsubscribing for now. Hopefully RUclips will recommend this channel again to me if it's any good in the future.

To unsubscribe *BEFORE* you know what the actual changes are, is very, VERY short-sighted of you. Perhaps it's best you go quickly, though, because the new content may only be relevant to people who aren't so quick to judge what they don't have enough information to evaluate correctly. Bye! :)

@@RichardHarlos It is obvious that something went wrong between the executive branch and the content production branch... This channel was 80% delivery and 20% educational... The hosts were the channel... no host, no channel! I almost unsubscribed right away too... but told myself I should at least watch 1 video to fully juge... But I understand that someone would not want to support such a decision when it involves humans and emotions.
Not the greatest news, but fingers crossed for the new content. Bradley and the crew were awesome, shame they're gone.
I just realised that without Bradley, I have never watched any video here again. I may not know what happened behind the scene.

Bradley knows what he's doing, talks like someone who understands network security issues.
The presentation was the main thing that made Sumsub outstanding.

You’re crazy dropping the presenter led, beautifully shot and originally produced films. It’s become a big chunk of your brand and was original and brilliantly executed.
Lastly now you want community managers to come work for free? For your business? The one that’s just slashed it’s costs by dropping presenters and video output?

Oh no! I knew it 😓 I knew that this was coming, since I haven't seen Bradley for a long time in the videos I knew there was something wrong. I won't say that I won't watch new videos, but I think this is gonna be hard 🙄 you know, it's not the same anymore.
It's all good other than the loss of all of the personality keeping people interested.

I subscribed for Bradley! ...the truth is, the content took a down turn the less Bradley was featured!
My two favorite parts of this channel were the hosts and the content. I don't know if I'll continue to watch if both of those things are going away. It also seems like the channel is moving away from what made it special and more towards what the youtube algorithm wants, which is also something I am sad to see in this channel as well as many others.

Bradley ‘was’ Sumsub… and the reason it worked was because of his obvious intelligence, flair and eloquence. You don’t seem to know what you are doing. The sets and high-end feel were your brand. I hope Bradley starts his own channel as he was the true ‘worth’ of your brand. Good luck with what you do next. If I see Bradley starting his own channel I’ll be subscribing. He was brilliant. PS - he should audition for the next James Bond role if everything else fails 😀

Ditching your on-screen talent team changes your brand significantly. I wish you well and look forward to seeing your next few videos to see what those changes are. That said, it better be pretty great if it's going to be this big of a change because the previous team was absolutely fantastic and I'm going to miss them.

Hypothesis: Sumsub is a website devoted primarily to selling cybersecurity solutions to individuals and businesses.
Sumsub the privacy and security RUclips channel--while being a very creative and engrossing endeavor--is obviously still a pet project of the company, and it's easy to see that it's not getting the views that the management have been expecting. As such, I theorize that they let the hosts go and have reduced the production value in order to save costs and produce more budget apt videos going forward
I hope Bradley, Emily, and Lucas success wherever they will go forward. They've been fantastic hosts, and people will definitely flock to them wherever they go next.
Who knows--maybe Bradley will no an "NCIX and Linus Sebastian" move and create his own channel going forward? Only the future knows.

I was new to this channel , subbed nearly 4 months back because i loved the hosting style and the content delivery. I did feel that this channel hasn't been getting enough views or likes for the content and work puttin ... I don't know i would be watching shorts as they really don't appeal to me . All the best for your ventures.

I'll miss Bradley and had proper come round to liking Emily, too. I try to embrace change because it's inevitable so I'm excited for the future. Hopefully the departure was all on good terms.

They are restructuring and cutting production costs to increase profits from RUclips.
Ditching the paid the hosts, fancy sets and quartering the videos per month will save samsub a significant amount of money in production costs and their channel will likely still grow at a similar rate. So in a way you could say they sold out as they are cutting out the original hosts in order to save money.
@@Jsanon00 shorts are also significantly less consuming to produce, they've got so many full videos they can recycle into shorts so they're good for writers for a while as well

It sounds like they were bought up by a big media company that decided to fire all hosts and create videos (with ads) with the help of various volunteers.
The hosts and the format were the reason I watched at all. They were really the face of this channel. Are they going to a new channel? I don't see this working out very well for you and this channel loosing subscribers as apposed to growing.

I’ve always wondered how this channel could possibly hope to monetise with its seemingly extortionate production costs and quality… I think it should be crystal clear though that is a cost-cutting exercise with restructuring going on to attempt to make this feasible for the company partner. I will keep subscribed but I’m not sure this channel has a soul anymore that was Bradley.
RUclips doesn`t like when channel changes format and makes long pauses, + audience doesn`t like when face of the channel (people representing it) is changing. I hope for the best but example of dosens channels says that it`ll probably wont go well/as planned.
I am sorry to tell you that I would never have subscribed to the channel if it weren't for Bradley, and later Emily...

If it wasn't Bradly i wouldn't be here. In RUclips mess i saw your video, watched it and Bradley charisma, voice, style of presenting earned a sub. I hope that sumsub 2.0 will be at least half as good as old one.

Good luck, but your hosts were a big part of engaging your audience. Bradely, Emily, and Lucas - thank you for your personable, clear, and often witty presenting.
If 3 people, two of the hosts are leaving at the same time it's probably a sign of a bad work place environment, think about that before applying to their "friendly" team

Yeah I think it's more than understandable to be pessimistic in this situation, but I'd still like to think that they know what they're doing. I'd also like to first see at least one of the new style videos before giving up hope
I really, really enjoy your channel. I also know you and your writers are very informed and knowledgeable about cybersecurity. I feel like most of your videos have been too surface level, for both you- and your viewers. Hit us with the stuff we don’t know, I trust you have the ability to.
Glad to hear there’s going to be more in depth videos, rather than more videos.

For me, that was one of the factors that made this channel stand out in the sea of mediocrity that is RUclips.
If you want to be successful on RUclips (and I have a very successful channel that isn’t this one. RUclips is my job), then you need to forget all this ‘strategy’ stuff. Just make what you want to make in the best way you can. It takes time too, but success hits at some point and it happens fast. You’ll have one video that will go crazy viral, and with a portfolio of solid content on your channel, you will quickly gain a larger audience. Then growth becomes exponential.
1:30 Are you kidding me?! Might as well change the channel's name while you're at it because you're literally stripping it out of its identity!
I find it a shame you are making this decision. I've been here with you guys since 1.3k subs and I understand as a corporation this endeavour probably wasn't that profitable (yet), but do you not see it as a service to humanity? To not only provide this information but to make it sharable and easily digestible with the great delivery you had.
I feel you guys had something like what VSauce had and I you guys are now about to start throwing away that for ... ?
There are thousands of channels in this style it sounds like you are proposing but what you had was a great and sharable style that was rare to find on RUclips nowadays.
Of course, let me know in the replies if you guys disagree! I'd love to find other channels that were like Sumsub.
Honestly most of the successful channels work because of the people presenting them. It will most likely be a completely new start for you. I wish you all the best for that but I'm not sure how well this will go with your current audience.
I subbed for Bradley. I will remain subbed if the content is good enough, but I really liked bradly. I only watch the videos he was in. I hope you can get him back. For now I will wait and see if I want to stay. Thank you for this message to let us know.
Really appreciate the transparency here. I loved the long-form educational videos, crazy backgrounds, graphics, and your charismatic hosts. The production value of your content really made your channel stand out on a website where every creator is competing for attention. I realize that it's a TON of work for a small team to sustain though. Even though I personally dislike shorts (especially on the web browser), perhaps it could help you reach, and therefore educate, a wider audience as YT's algorithm seems to be pushing shorts aggressively. I really hope you'll still post some quality long-form videos from time to time though, as those really are gold. Best of luck, guys.

A single hour long video and bunch of shorts is probably the worst choice imho. There are not that many topics that you can make an hour long video about without filling it out with a lot of useless fluff. Also, some people just can't immediately find time for an hour long vid, especially if it's about something that they are not particularly interested in.
Shorts on the other hand suffer from opposite problem. Not enough time to disclose any relevant information about the topic, and even if they get millions of views I feel like barely any of the viewers will flock to the "main" content.
I hope this channel won't just dissolve to meaningless shorts exclusively content.
Really gonna miss the hosts, hope they're gonna make their own channels, they were what made me like this channel.
I really hope they do make their own channel. Even if it is like a budget version of sumsub, as long as Bradly, Emily and/or Lucas, I would watch it. (and actively support it)

I'm sure the new channel will be lovely. But I came for Bradley and stayed for the sets and the narration. The information is top-notch but we can find it elsewhere. Bradley is the key differentiaror you had.
