Actually, he's even worse than that: he actually DID find all 20 of the Primarchs, but he had two of them killed, and all knowledge of them stricken from the records. As such, we have no idea why he did it or what those two might have done, but Malcador almost killed Horus just for trying to say their names.
@@Grimdawk so seriously though. Why do people complain about his personal character, you do realise he is an Emperor before a human, an emperor before a father and so on. The Empire comes first and even his sons are subject to sacrifice if the Imperium demands it.

@maltheri9833honestly the guy is more of an anti villain than a actual D head for the sake of it. His an anti villain in the sense his intentions are at the very least Nobel and his clearly not doing it for any selfish means because if that was the case he would have ditched humanity by becoming the Dark king. But the fact he at least stood his ground at the promise of infinite power and not faltering at the very least proves the guy isn't full of BS when he sais his in it for mankind. But an ultimate villain on account of him spilling blood to make said nobel dreams a reality and ultimately just being an unnecessary Dick.

Wait didn't the word bearers itself spread stories of him not being a god, and that there were no gods itself when they were loyal? Edit: Yeah. I checked. They spread the message of there being no gods and the emperor was a leader more then a god for mankind. They got pissed off when the emperor told a planet he conquered to kneel to the "god" emperor of mankind". This resentment eventually led to the ultimate betrayal and fall of the whole chapter during the build up to the Horus Heresy.

HE TRIED alot of them and they all backfired over the millennia of human existence. the emperor is maybe one of the most complex characters I know in terms of their morality but you won't see that if you skim through loretubers abit and make a video like this one. The emperor is not a bad guy in terms of the options given, cause the nice way is no option in this setting and compared to what humans made of him later on WHEN HE ACTUALLY RULED it wasn't nearly as bad as it is now. was he an authorcrat ? yes 100%. but he didn't do anything that didn't have some very valid reasoning behind it. now if he made the ebst choice is another question but he didn't just blunder everything and was cruel for no reason or evil just cause he is a bad guy. also stuff like not telling people about chaos has the VERY valid reason that each person knowing these things exist make it more possible to for them to take hold in reality the more powerful the being knowing the easier it gets. so telling the primarchs would have been A PROBLEM. most people saying he just sucks wouldn't say the same of doctor mahatten in watchman, which is more or less the best comparison. a man with godlike powers that wants to help and can do so but over time looses touch to the perspective of the common man he fights for to a huge degree, but he still wants to help and not be a god.
The Emperor's viewpoint has always been that a fractured humanity would be powerless to stop any insane, bloodthirsty megalomaniac with a god complex and too many resources behind him from taking over. He was absolutely right. After all, HE did.

It's only done by people who don't know the truth of what awaits everyone after the end, which is to fall into a warp that is completely and totally corrupted. There's ways for souls to hide from the warp but humans don't really know how to do it and besides, the ones that have been generated are more sterile prisons better than the alternative rather than something anyone living would want to go to. Plus those prisons don't last forever. Eventually something breaks them and the daemons get in. It's why so many people turn to chaos, the daemons hold all the cards on saving people from becoming daemon fodder. All the daemons have to do is reveal the truth and let people come to the logical conclusion between the choice of serve the 4 or suffer. Emps was trying to change the nature of the warp itself and reverse the damage done during the War In Heaven, and he was going to use humanity to do it. If he'd succeeded, he'd have changed the nature of the warp entities and thus the nature of what happens to souls after the end. That's why he did all the things he did. The Emperor was 50,000 years old by the story. He’s immortal, so everything he makes he will see die. No wonder he has trouble relating to any individual. Even the Primarchs were just a passing fad to him. The Emperor walked in Eternity and he did so alone.
He had a bunch of other Perpetuals around, but he managed to piss off most of them into leaving, or he got them killed. Now there are only a few human Perpetuals left and they are mostly wandering the Galaxy depressed while also trying to not be noticed by the Inquisition and tortured forever.
1:53 wait, we dont know that Emps *didnt* help humanity during the Age of Strife. It's possible that his actions is what stopped a real bad time from becoming the end of humanity. Of course, it's also quite possible that he allowed it all to happen just so he could take over and create his Imperium but still
He definitely knew, but humanity was likely too powerful and A.I dependent for him to do anything so he set up various contingency plans to pull everything back together. Telling pre-age of stife humanity to stop using A.I and kill psykers(which were the biggest reasons everything fell to sh_t) would have been like demanding modern day humans stop using phones and the Internet and euthanize all disabled people, everyone would look at you funny
The way I see it he was giving humanity a chance and was holding himself from intervening up until a point of no return where humanity was going to annihilate itself
Something that made me like Big E a lot more was the book "Master of Mankind" where he has a solid quote where he quite frankly tells one of his men "Being all seeing is not the same as being all knowing". It sounds small. But it turns him from something all powerful into a dude doing (what he thinks is) his best with the cards he's being dealt. At the end of the day he's still (kinda) just a dude. A freakishly tall and powerful one, but a dude none the less. One who makes mistakes such as making a deal with mysterious entities from hell to protect his people.
He's all seeing. That doesn't mean he can comprehend it all at once. Like putting 100 Computer monitors in a room, each with 100+ tabs of whatever, and expecting him to be able to tell you every detail. Despite being super-human, he is still human. He fumbles, and fails, but he persists. He tries, because he hopes. He dreamed. Animals don't hope. They just exist based on instinct. They just Do. To hope, and dream, and fail and persist, is to be human.
- Be Big E - Milleniums old - Decided to lead humanity with an ingenious plan that most of his immortal friends disagree - Proceed to do it anyway - Upset a girl so much she sent all of their children away - Managed to recover one when he was still a baby - Left the child to his BFF to take care of, never was a father figure - Eventually found all his lost children - Didn't help them solve their problems, only did so they wouldn't become his own problems - The sons became his problems. - His problems became problems to millions worlds
Whats funnier is that techno barbarians was a propaganda umbrella term made by big E for pretty much everyone. I mean techno barbarians could range from a cult of 5 people to a full fledged civilisation. Whats even funnier is tbat by all means a nd purposes most of the techno barbarians had better tech than big E and most would consider him a conqueror and stuff like tbat. So by all means and purposes big E was *The* techno barbarian.
Big E repeatedly getting nuked into respawn timer probably happened with some of them. He just used the term barbarians to make them seem primitive and in need of his guiding hands. Many human factions were fine as independent states. And heck if the eldar and tau can make it with such small numbers, so can humans.
This is why Sigmar is the better God of Humanity. He is an actual regular human, he is willing to work with nonhumans, he doesn’t gaslight is followers to believing he isn’t a god despite all the evidence, and and most importantly, he has the Warhammer.
Da emprah made a lot of mistakes, he is negligent. He wasn't a father at all, because he didn't raise his kids. These are his mistakes, and he could have avoided them by doing what is logic: -The worst mistake: going to the webway during the great crusade. He put himself in danger for no reason. He could have gone to the webway after the crusade, or before, centuries before. -Second huge mistake: Not telling their sons about Chaos, and the gods. He could have kept this a secret from the astartes, and the population, but he neede to tell theri sons about it. -He made Horus warmaster. Da emprah needed someone resistant to chaos to be the warmaster, someone like a grey knight, or malcador, maybe. No primarch is suited to be warmaster. -He gave comand of legions to insane primarchs, who are easy target for chaos, which led to entire legions corrupted by chaos. He should have given control of some legions to custodes, be it early or later. -He recruited "anyone" who was a friend of a primach. He let in people already corrupted, and no one checked for chaos corruption, or insanity in astartes candidates.

Ehh, I think the ‘humans are flawed’ as a trope is overdone and especially bad here. The Emperor is, mostly Human. Yes he is a Psychic and yes is the size of a Basketball Player + Goliath, but he is still Human. He was born Human. That isn’t the issue. The issue is, his parents died tens of thousands of years ago. His first friends also died, tens of thousands of years ago. He is ‘alone’ because he is an Immortal Human. In fact, if he is a perpetual, is even Human anymore? I don’t care how much genetic engineering you do now, or in the future, if you can just come back after being whoops, are you really Human? The problem I have is that, even the most human Primachs have deep flaws because they are human. Angron is spiteful and rageful. Perturabo is stubborn and spiteful, Konrad is…Konrad and is probably the most human primarch in the sense that he is a Terrorist whereas everyone else has wings, is tall, is immortal or can shoot bolts of lightning from their mind. But not Big E. His biggest flaw isnt that he is human. In the paraphrased words of a popular parody. “You don’t want humanity to flourish because you like humanity, you HATE humanity.” I think the real turning point in why i make this argument is the Star Child. Regardless of creed, or nationality. When a human sees another suffer, we often feel emphatic and/or sympathic, Of course, not everyone. If you have some mental disorder, these traits may be dialed to 0 and 1 inbetween, so it is not evenly distributed. And that is…really the problem? Big E isn’t either really, most of the time. He has moments of empathy sometimes, but rarely sympathy, Just ask the Genesmiths of Luna how much sympathy he had when the second (I believe) recorded battle of Astartes history was a pack of wolves showing up to do fast paced, aggressive and unconventional/unprovoked warfare. By all accounts, the Emperor biggest flaw is how unhuman he is despite being biologically human.
... If he had told the primarchs, his sons and generals, leaders of demigod legions, about the threat of chaos and his Webway project; Magnus would not risk breaching the Webway Lorgar would've known the deceptions of the Warp from his pilgramage, understood the sacrifice of Monarchia and Killed Erebus and Kor Phearon for their lies Fulgrim would've seen the nature of the Lear blade and, as a last resort, exterminatus the planet And finally, Hrous would know that through all the treachery, the emperor did in fact, love his sons, despite how he treats them on a physical level Mortarion and Leman though, in my opinion, would need the biggest slap across the face if they decide this to be a reason why the Thousand Sons should be killed off.
thats really what pissed me off was he told no one literally ANYTHING at all of his plans. while it was still pretty stupid of the primarchs to assume that the emperor would purge them like the thunder warriors, the emperor literally gave no information whatsoever other than "trust me bro" so i can't blame them for, in uncertainy and anger about not being the ones to rule humanity, trying to rebel. like in some cases i get not dropping information about chaos. magnus, fulgrim, even lorgar were always going to be too arrogant for their own good, and telling them about chaos might just make especially magnus try to seek it out just to try to dominate it for their own power or (in fulgrim's case) just to prove they could best the gods themselves, i can even understand not telling most of humanity because telling people there are dark powers you can negotiate with to get power and pleasure is a good way to have a lot of people fall to chaos, but why not tell the other primarchs what to watch out for. maybe fulgrim still picks up the layer blade but ferrus manus is smart enough to be like "oh shit that's slaanesh corruption" and report it to the emperor before it becomes a huge unstoppable problem honestly i wish they had made the emperor more like sigmar, where he still didn't like what some of his followers were doing (sigmar wouldn't exactly appreciate the near maddness of the zealots and witch hunters) but still had humility to some degree to understand that he could not plan for everything, and that by working with others and letting his underlings have some input and control he can do better. the emperor's problem is that he just has to control everything all the time. he couldn't have religion because that would be people praising something higher than himself. he couldn't tell the primarchs his plans simply because he didn't think they could help him with it in his arrogance.
The way I see it they can’t seem to agree on his core personality. Personally he comes off as High Evolutionary from Marvel. It basically describes him perfectly.
@@Ragnarra to be fair there are multiple riders riding the emperor and they all have different interpretations of him my problem with the emperor is, he can see thousands of years into the future and plan for certain people being born yeah, he couldn’t see the Horus heresy coming and his mentally ill son, constantly talking about a dystopian future
“Me? No, I never lost contact with my father. We spoke many times before he ever set foot on Prospero. That is a bond that none of my brothers can claim. As our Legion departed Ullanor, I communed with my father and told him what I found on Aghoru, a hidden labyrinth of tunnels that pierce the immaterium and link all places and all times.” Magnus returned his eye to the stars, and Ahriman kept silent, sensing that to intrude on Magnus’ introspection would be unwise, though the ramifications of his discoveries on Aghoru were staggering. “Do you know what he said, Ahzek? Do you know how he greeted this momentous discovery, this key to every corner of the galaxy?” “No, my lord.” “He knew,” said Magnus simply. “He already knew of it. I should not have been surprised, I suppose. If any being in the galaxy could know such a thing, it would be my father. Now that he knew I had also discovered this lattice, he told me he had discovered it decades ago and had resolved to become its master. This is why he returns to Terra.” Yup, Magnus def didn't know, yup, not at all, yup.
The problem with the Big E is that despite his goal being noble he lacks any sort of humanity which is rather ironic, the whole Horus heresy happened because he didn’t view his sons as people, his friends even told him he was a megalomaniacal asshole except malcador, he is literally just Paul Atreides if he was on some Darkseid level powers and ambition. His goal of helping humanity although noble is stupid because he doesn’t encourage progress, he needs to make sure every last damn human has a certain philosophy forcing his point on view on others so THEN they can begin evolving which is frankly pretty stupid since it will only help in a short scale, add the fact that the guy is a near god like being not a normal human at all and this man says “religion is wrong” while he HIMSELF TAKES THE ROLE HE SO MUCH DISCREDITS IN HIS WORDS and you have the big E. On one hand I love the character but I know he is a horrible downright psychopathic ruler, which begs the question of how in gods green earth did Vulkan appear and how is he so strong despite the emperor’s humanity being sparse at best.
If I recall correctly the primarchs where created a from the DNA of the emporer and a perpetual woman named Erda. She was portrayed as loving her sons and humanity and disagree with the terrible future the emporer had planned for them as generals in his armies so the humility and compassion of vulkan may have come from her. That being said she did betray the emporer and caused the great storm that scattered the primarchs leading to some living terrible lives anyway and also tried to help John grammaticus to assassinate the emporer to cause the eventual disillusion and extinction of mankind so who knows 😅.
On top of that he refuses diplomacy and over glorifies humanity to the point that he orders his own empire to destroy every single alien on sight for simply existing even though many of those same "Xenos scum" were peaceful or outright helping humanity. The Emperor and his Imperium would just betray them anyway even killing entire human civilizations just for sharing the same technology and diplomacy with said aliens. Ironically the only aliens left are all pure evil, arrogant, depraved, or monstrous aliens that just want humanity dead for just existing as much as humanity wants to kill them for just existing (And yes even the Tau because they want humanity to bend the knee in servitude). Big E killed all his potential friends and just left his empire surrounded by nothing but enemies and also helped said enemies in the process.
Tbh despite the BIG E's personal problems he is constantly f'ed over by uncontrolabe factors like chaos for example, if he told everyone about chaos they would just get corrupted and chaos gets uber powerful. he also went on a great crusade to unite humanity, if humanity didn't unite they would probably be extinct. The Emperor's viewpoint has always been that a fractured humanity would be powerless to stop any insane, bloodthirsty megalomaniac with a god complex and too any resources behind him from taking over. Like what else could he do? Sure be nicer to the primarchs but other than that he is a victim of murphy's law.
The funniest thing about the Emperor is that all his attempts to fight Chaos only gave it actual armies it didn't have before, in a setting where the only enemy where a shitload of massive armies stationed across the galaxy can be of any help is the Tyranids.

Incorrect, the Emperor was *not* born a normal person. He was never a "mere" man. He was born in a massive ritual made by all of the ancient era psyker capable shamans who gathered in ancient Turkey, who had foreseen chaos's arrival in the distant future. They sacrificed themselves and gathered all of their essence into a new being which would later title himself the Emperor.
This is terrible old lore that completely diminishes the value of psykers across the warhammer setting. More likely the emperor was created by the old ones
How did you miss the part where big E offered Magnus redemption if he decided to kill his entire legion and when Magnus asked if he could do the same to his sons he said "No."?
I actually was debating putting this part in. In hindsight, it would have went well with the rest of the video. But I tried to cut down as much as possible
@Grimdawk In my opinion, the way the Thousand Sons were dealt with by the emperor is the most condemning evidence against the emperor. It shows favoritism, neglect, lack of forgiveness, cruelty, and poor communication. And because of the retconning they did where they basically said the emperor orchestrated the outcome of the Horus Heresy so he could survive in some capacity, this is especially cruel on the Emperor's part. He also has perpetuating propaganda called the Imperial Truth which gives an account of events that makes Magnus seem way worse than he was in order to make sure the perception of him stays pure. I deduced this because the account of the Thousand Sons actions in some books differs greatly from the Horus Heresy novels. I would have included this and how he treated the Iron Warriors and Angron too. He forced Perterabo to do the dirtiest of work with no reward or recognition for 200 years, and he kept Angron as a Slave instead of curing the Butcher's Nails because he'd be easier to control. I understand the need for brevity, the sins of the emperor are bit much. There's a lot of them to sift through. I would love an extended version of this video so I can show people praising him openly what he actually did in lore. I realize this is just a fantasy game, but I swear I've met more than one Space Marine player who says "The Emperor did nothing wrong" with a straight face. @Hello-lf1xs Yes. Angron was fighting a just fight against his oppressors and the emperor decided - instead of freeing his son from his enslavement - why don't I keep his collar on and force him to kill billions who don't accept my extremely dogmatic militaristic atheistic views as fact. Btw, absolutely false atheistic views that he KNOWS are false... since he literally made a deal with chaos gods to create his children. (That last part isn't exactly fact, but it nearly is. It's a widely accepted theory and strongly alluded to in several passages.)
I'm glad people are realizing that the Emperor is the sole reason things got as bad as they got. He thought he was more competent than he really was, and empowered Chaos, thinking he was greater than it. He may be Superhuman, but he still suffers Human Hubris.
@@rahadityap2375well it’s an average of 1000 Psykers die from the psychic strain of supplying power to the Astronomicon. There are a lot more Psykers that are helping power it all at once, but on average yea it’s 1000 a day burn out
Outside of the Narrator... how do we know Big E. was born thousands of years ago? Always been puzzled by the vacation myself, and wonder if Big E. was born much later then claimed.
Couple inaccuracies: All 20 (21) Primarchs were found. However, for undefined and reasons so unspeakable (literally, as all parties involved were sworn to silence, for the few who even remember them), the Emperor ordered the complete eradication of the 2nd and 11th legions along with their Primarchs and purged all records of them. Even pre-heresy, Horus was a bit miffed about this. Lastly, the Emperor was enforcing the Imperial Truth, not the Imperial Cult. This is important, as the Emperor absolutely loathed religion and was trying to deprive Chaos of _any_ power by turning all of the Imperium into an agnostic state. In fact, the whole Horus Heresy could honestly be traced back to this enforced non-tolerance of religion, because if he hadn't razed Lorgar's crown jewel city and forced the entire Word Bearer's legion to kneel before him to humiliate them for trying to create a religion based on the Emperor, Lorgar potentially never would've succumb to Chaos' influence and he was ultimately the catalyst for Horus' betrayal.
Slight context on the Lorgar bit, the Emperor didn't really care about Lorgar having a religion based on himself, the Emperor, but only really care when big E realized that Lorgar was taking way too long on making progress on the crusade. It was basically a "I don't agree but i don't care about it rn, there's something more important" to "okay you keep playing with your toys over your responsibility? Fine, i'll deal with you"
I am willing to give Big E the benifit of the doubt be the sheer number of things he had to keep the track off while powering the Astronomican the whole damn time.
I like how his origin story is a bit similar to Hitler - wait until German has no hope - suddenly rise with his own troops - kill his own troop when he can replace them with the official german troops
That kinda force. Hitler was a soldier in WW1, he doesn't wait for German has no hope to appear. Hitler also doesn't suddenly raise up but it took time with many political involved. The last part is just thing that every dictator did, they replace peoples who disobey them and replace thêm with those obey to solid their control.

Is he ?
Doesn't like one
@@martimsousa2601 before the Heresy yes,but now he's lost any humanity
“You don’t want humanity to flourish because you like humanity, you HATE humanity.”
I think the real turning point in why i make this argument is the Star Child.
That's the irony of Space Marines in general, they're not _really_ human. Yet they destroy everything for humanity lol.
... If he had told the primarchs, his sons and generals, leaders of demigod legions, about the threat of chaos and his Webway project;
Magnus would not risk breaching the Webway
Lorgar would've known the deceptions of the Warp from his pilgramage, understood the sacrifice of Monarchia and Killed Erebus and Kor Phearon for their lies
Fulgrim would've seen the nature of the Lear blade and, as a last resort, exterminatus the planet
And finally, Hrous would know that through all the treachery, the emperor did in fact, love his sons, despite how he treats them on a physical level
Mortarion and Leman though, in my opinion, would need the biggest slap across the face if they decide this to be a reason why the Thousand Sons should be killed off.
Yeah man, he could have just told SOMEBODY and probably could have prevented the heresy
thats really what pissed me off was he told no one literally ANYTHING at all of his plans. while it was still pretty stupid of the primarchs to assume that the emperor would purge them like the thunder warriors, the emperor literally gave no information whatsoever other than "trust me bro" so i can't blame them for, in uncertainy and anger about not being the ones to rule humanity, trying to rebel.
like in some cases i get not dropping information about chaos. magnus, fulgrim, even lorgar were always going to be too arrogant for their own good, and telling them about chaos might just make especially magnus try to seek it out just to try to dominate it for their own power or (in fulgrim's case) just to prove they could best the gods themselves, i can even understand not telling most of humanity because telling people there are dark powers you can negotiate with to get power and pleasure is a good way to have a lot of people fall to chaos, but why not tell the other primarchs what to watch out for. maybe fulgrim still picks up the layer blade but ferrus manus is smart enough to be like "oh shit that's slaanesh corruption" and report it to the emperor before it becomes a huge unstoppable problem
honestly i wish they had made the emperor more like sigmar, where he still didn't like what some of his followers were doing (sigmar wouldn't exactly appreciate the near maddness of the zealots and witch hunters) but still had humility to some degree to understand that he could not plan for everything, and that by working with others and letting his underlings have some input and control he can do better.
the emperor's problem is that he just has to control everything all the time. he couldn't have religion because that would be people praising something higher than himself. he couldn't tell the primarchs his plans simply because he didn't think they could help him with it in his arrogance.
The way I see it they can’t seem to agree on his core personality. Personally he comes off as High Evolutionary from Marvel. It basically describes him perfectly.
@@Ragnarra to be fair there are multiple riders riding the emperor and they all have different interpretations of him
my problem with the emperor is, he can see thousands of years into the future and plan for certain people being born
yeah, he couldn’t see the Horus heresy coming and his mentally ill son, constantly talking about a dystopian future
This is why he returns to Terra.”
Yup, Magnus def didn't know, yup, not at all, yup.
It says a lot that Kahn and Guilliman are the most emotionally stable if his son's and they both don't consider him their father.
Guy is a hell spawn general diguised as a human.
Thats exactly what Horus would say
3:32 correction: it's the imperial truth he was trying to spread, the imperial cult started to appear only during and after the horus heresy
There *is* a theory going around that Big E knew *some* of his sons would turn traitor, perhaps not *which* but prophecies are *everywhere* in 30k.
The Emperors sons mostly came about in spite of him, the one he was closest to ended up the one who wanted him dead the most its pretty fucked.
The funniest thing about the Emperor is that all his attempts to fight Chaos only gave it actual armies it didn't have before, in a setting where the only enemy where a shitload of massive armies stationed across the galaxy can be of any help is the Tyranids.
I think your drawings are great! They feel very personal in the style and quality

Even though the Imperium barely knows anything about what happened that time, at least they know that A.I. was the enemy so, that would have greatly helped his image I think. Like, that would be seen as a good thing - helping defeat the Abominable Intelligence.
I've read a theory that Big E knew that some of his son could adapt to peaceful life, whereas others can't. He was purposely a terrible father in order to instigate a civil war, family feud if you will. Those who can't move on from the battlefield would be wiped out. Unfortunately, he bit off more than he could chew. He didn't think his son's would side with chaos. I wonder if The Emperor remembered Uriah Olathaire's last words.
Where did you read this theory?
@@Grimdawk it was a reddit post I read this year. The author based his theory on the fact that the Thunder Warriors wouldn't fit into Big E's Imperium, neither would some of his Primearchs after the Great Crusade. If I ever find the link, I'll send it to you.

The emperor of mankind is the embodiment of "the end justify the means".
He just very morally grey. His ways are mysterious, and he won't say what his end goals were.
He's like the god Emperor from Dune. He did evil things for very good reasons and a better future
Unlike Paul though, in this comment section, I’ve already seen plenty of things he did that aren’t evil but just… really fucking dumb.
Except, with Emperor Leto ii(i.e the god emperor of dune) he actually had PLANS for humanity and his goals actually SUCCEEDED
The emperor of mankind (warhammer) he basically just CHOSE to make himself the head of state, anything and everything AFTER that either isn't known or mentioned (I mean we're talking about a guy that committed genocide on EVERYONE and nothing to show for it)
We need to stop it with this morally gray its either black or white, he is pretty black in terms of morals.
@@redadmiralofvalyria867It isn't known yet. Either the emperor's endgame hasn't even happened yet or the current state was the "best" case scenario. There's hope for humanity in Dune while in 40k there's only complete extinction or suffering. Emps chose the latter.
@@redadmiralofvalyria867 The Emperor may still have a plan. He did after all bless Bobby G on his crusade so he probably hasn't given up hope.
Of course, GW probably won't ever elaborate on that since the setting must remain constant if they want to continue selling models.

The Primarchs were already fully grown men with their own cultures and customs so how can the Emperor could’ve been a better dad if he never even got the chance to raise them? Sure he could’ve been more open with his plans but he was like that with everyone even his closest confidants.
Perturabo is all I say, if he played his cards just a teensy bit better the heresy would never reach Terra and Mars wouldn't be as dogmatic, backwards and petty as it is in the 42nd, infact I wholefully believe while, yes, Perturabo hated the mechanicus if the Emperor tasked him with solving that rubix cube and stabilising the core of the empire humanity may have had a noblebright victory, it would even stabilise Perty himself after all he loved inventing and making things, all it would take is some proper talks with the belt to fix his man child mind.
The primarchs are also super intelligent super humans with incredible psychic potential. There’s a level of expectation for them to be mature like their gene father. Primachs like mortarion and perturabo should never be excused to go traitor, so much might and prowess and they waste it. Primarchs like horus, fulgrim, and angron are tragedies who were corrupted by chaos and betrayed by their followers. Curze was just crazy but he could still have been loyal if it weren’t for the events of Istavaan

This is made worse once you consider that the warp is hell, and travelling through it is extremely deadly and invites deamos from the warp into real space.
All of this has made the galaxy, and especially humanity, far more conducive to daemonic influence and corruption, now that anyone can be turned to chaos by mere travel between planetary systems.

This sound like a load of heresy.
Smells like heresy
This is foul heresy
Incorrect, the Emperor was *not* born a normal person. He was never a "mere" man.
He was born in a massive ritual made by all of the ancient era psyker capable shamans who gathered in ancient Turkey, who had foreseen chaos's arrival in the distant future.
They sacrificed themselves and gathered all of their essence into a new being which would later title himself the Emperor.
He's still a sh*t dad
(probably)
Wasn’t this retconned?
This is terrible old lore that completely diminishes the value of psykers across the warhammer setting. More likely the emperor was created by the old ones
Nah that old theory was debunked a long time.
Wow, so much heresy in just one video…this is exactly what I’d expect a fan of Horus to say…
Lots of people still defend him and this video only touches on some of the myriad of his mistakes, failures, and downright evil actions.
Anyways, apologies for the word vomit. Lots of Chaos and Xenos players - I'm a Tsons player - would love a video like that. Thanks for highlighting even a little bit of it.

Always been puzzled by the vacation myself, and wonder if Big E. was born much later then claimed.
Many perpetuals were witness to the emperor being on earth during bronze Age
Couple inaccuracies:
All 20 (21) Primarchs were found.
In fact, the whole Horus Heresy could honestly be traced back to this enforced non-tolerance of religion, because if he hadn't razed Lorgar's crown jewel city and forced the entire Word Bearer's legion to kneel before him to humiliate them for trying to create a religion based on the Emperor, Lorgar potentially never would've succumb to Chaos' influence and he was ultimately the catalyst for Horus' betrayal.
yeah in a roundabout way his extreme hostility to religon fueled chaos More than being apathetic to it would have
Slight context on the Lorgar bit, the Emperor didn't really care about Lorgar having a religion based on himself, the Emperor, but only really care when big E realized that Lorgar was taking way too long on making progress on the crusade. It was basically a "I don't agree but i don't care about it rn, there's something more important" to "okay you keep playing with your toys over your responsibility? Fine, i'll deal with you"
