But in that time I bought an S22 Ultra. So my S22 is my work phone and my Fold is more of a tablet and when I go out I'll pop my SIM in.

This is the perfect review for someone that's thinking about getting the Fold 3, it's obvious the reviewer has actually used the phone for a good amount of time. I love this phone, I've had it for almost two weeks. Do I think it's worth the price? Honestly no, I don't think any phone should cost nearly $2000 nowadays. But I was so bored of the iPhone. And I hope to never go back to iPhone. Look if you do hard work where you sweat and something could hit your phone in your pocket. Don't buy this phone. It feels expensive and also feels fragile. Hi, for your information, you can slide up the s-pen compartment out of the case so you can use it flat on the table!! You can read the instructions in the case user guide!
I have the fold 3. Yeah i paid almost that price lol. I love it. Mainly bc im a Multimedia User like Videos, games etc. And i like to try different Things on my Phone. My two Main drawbacks are the camera and the battery. I cant agree that the cameras are as good as a s21 ultra. I had the Normal s21 before i changed to the fold. The pictures on the s21 are def. Better no matter how you put it. Battery life its ok. If you use it more than moderate you have to Charge it 2 Times a Day. But all in all. After many meh phones (where only cameras got beter) this Phone is exciting as hell. You can feel that you have something special in your hands. In 2 years i wonder if i ever could get back to a normal one. Left a like and a sub. Thanks for the Restaurant mentioning at the end. As a Albanian i Was pleasently suprised lol. Btw you can Change the Split keyboard Layout.

I think anyone looking to get a foldable can jump in now. Although the price is steep, Samsung are heavily subsiding the cost with there trade ins and other promotions, if anyone pays retail for this phone then they're crazy. After trading in my note 10+ and also using a discount code I got the phone for £900 here in the UK which is insanely good value for the phone you're getting, as all other flagships are more expensive. Samsung clearly want foldables to go mainstream, I think the most refined version of the fold will probably be the 5 or the 6, so personally I'll be keeping my fold 3 until then and upgrading in a few years time.

Can you download CPU-Z to see if it definitely has a Snapdragon soc in it please ? How's it feel in the hand i.e weight. Is the inside screen protector not showing any signs of indentations ? @@Lee-tt9fe battery was a bit worrying for the first few days, but honestly after a week it's awesome. And this is coming from someone who plays a lot of Dokkan battle and watches a lot of RUclips. Now I can start my day at 6am and get through to around 9 or 10pm and the phone will just about die. So if you wake up later and dont use the phone as much as I do you can easily get a days use out of it. I keep all the max setting also, i did turn of 5g as i dont even have a 5g plan so it's pointless having it turned on, but you can also employ some neat bixby routines to also save battery such as enter power saving mode when you fold the phone shut and then turn it off when you reopen the fold, things like that can further extend battery if you really need it. Apart from that its honestly awesome.

So you use the bigger inner screen alot which I assume is battery hungry ? How is the inside tpu screen protector holding up please ? @@Lee-tt9fe I use the outside screen for quickly replying to WhatsApp messages and setting alarms etc. (Quick tasks) everything else like gaming, browsing the web, reddit is all done on the inside screen. In terms of the screen, it feels awesome, doesnt feel squishy or anything, so no worries there. I actually pre ordered from samsung on August 26th they gave me a delivery date of 20th september but the phone came early on the 04th september. I think they got more demand than expected so are giving people longer delivery dates but it should arrive earlier hopefully.
I loved foldable and thank Samsung for pioneering foldable but my z fold 2 front screen is really hard to use no matter single or double handed especially during daily texting, I really hope next gen will comes with a wider front screen and a improved aspect ratio as many of the app video and pic is sp weird in the bigger inner screen
I always owned samsung notes up until note 10plus. I was hesitant on buying it due to battery and possibly not liking front screen since it is smaller...boy i love the fold 3. Its quick..battery is decent. You get use to the small screen but fell in love with the big screen.
From what I've known, you could actually remove the S Pen compartment from the case right? Just pull it from the top and now you could write properly on a table
One thing I really miss that I had on my Note 10+ after switching to the Z Fold 3, is the ability to download additional edge panels! I used the To-do list and calculator panels ALL the time! And I've tried using multi-tasking and dragging the calculator out to pair when I need it, but it's not the same or as convenient.
I'm an iPhone user for the pass 11 years, I switched to android before (Note 3 and S10+) but I couldn't stay with android pass a month and always end up going back to iPhone. I just got the Fold 3 and so far I think this is the first android phone I can use for the full year. I will still get the iPhone 13Mini which will be my 2nd phone and the Fold my main phone. Ps. The front camera is trash though
Water resistance but no warranty is huge. None of the other reviewers mention this. They can easily make the phone wider to put a pen in and a bigger battery. This refresh to the phone feels intentionally “almost” ready like they are slowing down progress when they know they can push it more. Also no dust resistance and no repairability
I have a note 20. And while i think miss the s pen initially. I still think it's a very worthy upgrade for me. And that zoom call. Definitely the fold 3 just because the sound is alot better.
Hi Michael! You actually have four alternatives to the under display camera. One is the cover display camera, and the rest are the three rear cameras. To use all rear cameras, you start off with the phone folded. Fire off the camera (switch to the selfie camera), then on the top right you'll see the icon which says selfie. You should now be unfolding the phone and you will now have access to all rear cameras for selfies and videos!
With the marketing for the flex mode, having a poor big display camera is a big miss? I really do not understand pushing forward tech that is clearly poor? Losing some functionality due to silly gimmicks (at this moment) really is sad and Samsung should not put form over function?

most of your concerns are related to physical size. From my time using it on a store, it's similarly heavy to my phone right now, but I think I can go with it even though it is a bit thicker. You might wanna check it out on a store first to see it you're good with the dimensions and weight.
Great review - I agree with you on the front screen , it feels a little cramped - and yes if it were just a little bit bigger i would not have returned it. As for the keyboard - I downloaded GBoard and used that - much better anyhow. I found the outer screen too small and the inner one too big to use with one hand - so back to the Flip 3 :) but had to try the Fold 3 .
Got mine last week & it's the best phone I've ever had & I've had a lot of Samsung's in fact I've never owned an iPhone, before my z fold I had the s21 ultra which is an excellent phone but not better in my opinion than this one.
Received my ZFold3 on Sep 7th. Had to factory reset twice, 3 instances where the phone would not send or receive data for 8 or more hours before it mysteriously fixed itself even though Samsung and Verizon could not find the issue. Yesterday I asked to have the device replaced or allow me to return it. They said it was past the 15 day return policy. Well, it’s not working again, they won’t do anything. So I took my 2000 dollar brick and put it on a shelf and bought an iPhone 13. This happened with my S9 and Note 3. Including this phone, this was my 3rd attempt to adopt the Samsung ecosystem and every time I end up back with an apple. These people are incompetent and they should have a class action lawsuit against them. I’m out 2k, how about u?

most of your concerns are related to physical size. From my time using it on a store, it's similarly heavy to my phone right now, but I think I can go with it even though it is a bit thicker.
You might wanna check it out on a store first to see it you're good with the dimensions and weight.

We used a Pitaka Case with a magnet sticker stick to the silicone case of the fold. Not the best setup TBH.

Great review - I agree with you on the front screen , it feels a little cramped - and yes if it were just a little bit bigger i would not have returned it. As for the keyboard - I downloaded GBoard and used that - much better anyhow. I found the outer screen too small and the inner one too big to use with one hand - so back to the Flip 3 :) but had to try the Fold 3 .

Got mine last week & it's the best phone I've ever had & I've had a lot of Samsung's in fact I've never owned an iPhone, before my z fold I had the s21 ultra which is an excellent phone but not better in my opinion than this one.

Received my ZFold3 on Sep 7th. Had to factory reset twice, 3 instances where the phone would not send or receive data for 8 or more hours before it mysteriously fixed itself even though Samsung and Verizon could not find the issue. Yesterday I asked to have the device replaced or allow me to return it. They said it was past the 15 day return policy. Well, it’s not working again, they won’t do anything. So I took my 2000 dollar brick and put it on a shelf and bought an iPhone 13. This happened with my S9 and Note 3. Including this phone, this was my 3rd attempt to adopt the Samsung ecosystem and every time I end up back with an apple. These people are incompetent and they should have a class action lawsuit against them. I’m out 2k, how about u?
