He couldn't drive faster because of his clothes, that is like a parachute and you will fight to not get dragged of your bike, no chance to actually get to higher speeds. You need proper biking gear to go fast.

The Hayabusa rider couldn't ride the bike, there is no way a cop car can keep up with that bike with a good rider on board.

Our thoughts exactly! Wrong side of the road, the roads were too straight and flat, it wasn't raining, and those cop cars were wrong, and suddenly we're in Calgary???? That biker was seriously motoring to get across the pond. 🤔🤔
I am pretty sure that the cops in Scotland don't drive around in American police cruisers, plus we drive on the left in the UK. Not sure what Calgary the chase was filmed in, but it was not Scotland.

Looks to me like that guy was scared to open it up.
What most people don't realize is that tires are made in both different sizes and with different speed ratings. The highest rating is "Y", which allows up to 186 mph - the longer you ride above the max speed for your tires, the greater the chance one or both tires will fail/blow out.
You can see the bike shaking every time he speeds up, there was something wrong with the busa

Running from the police on a motorcycle is foolish! I'm a truck driver and in 2008 it was June I was traveling north on I75 in Florida and a motorcycle absolutely flew by me doing 170mph+, I got on the cb to warn other drivers and as soon as I stopped talking someone started yelling that the motorcycle slammed into the back of a trailer the rider was obliterated. It's just not worth it. I'm a rider and I have absolutely no sympathy or respect for anyone who rides like that on a public street not only putting him or herself in harms way but other innocent people who are obeying the law.
Chasing dirt bikes like that is ridiculous. This has nothing to do with safety.

In the 80's I had a bike that would do 175mph+ and used to ride it that fast on the road. If the cops saw me and put on their lights I always stopped. I got a bunch of tickets but never any jail time.

The Busa average speed is roughly 185 to 200; Think the ‘stock record’ is somewhere among the lines of 242. However another person had modified theirs with super charger and supposedly hit well over 300.

@@jmac463 cops don’t need to speed in the first place , they egoistically choice to do so. Plus there are devices out there that help the officer identify the driver and or the vehicle. Cameras and tracking devices can be used . Think about it if it is dangerous for us to go-over the speed limit then why is it safe for them . Training has nothing to do with it, cops crash and so don’t professional drivers..There are safer ways for cops to do their job. They just don’t like being told what to do.

Important lesson learned: If you're even in a high-speed chase and the cops break out the ghetto bird, run towards the nearest airport.
Dude on Busa in the 2nd clip is one of those legends that got a Busa as their first bike, clearly. At least he had enough common sense not to rip it, yet not enough to pull over.
Calgary, that red motorcycle yelled to him "Follow Me" then when he hit the dirt road you can see the red bike infront of him. Wonder if the cops realized this.
10:00 There was a case like this in our neighborhood during the 1980's. A boy was spotted driving an unlicensed motorcycle on a public street. He lost the cops by driving across fields where a car couldn't follow. Unfortunately for him, one of the officers recognized the boy. He was arrested when he got home and the police were there waiting for him.

I remember a time when people behaved themselves, everyone worked for a living, the family was intact, and there was a togetherness

Take off the rose tinted glasses, and you'll remember air raid sirens, food rations, people making and selling bread filled with chalk, no indoor plumbing, post war recovery rife with domestic abuse, sexism racism and all the other ism's, poor living standards, meat with a meal was a luxury and an overall low average life span.
