Yes, you can close your eyes, and cover your ears when a flashbang goes off. The concussive force from the flashbang can still be disorienting, though. It's happened to me before, and I'd rather not experience it again.
fun fact: the creepy music that plays before you have the murder set up is a very recognizable motif called the Dies Irae! It's very commonly used in music to represent death and horror. It's been used for probably over a thousand years at this point.

I think it's that he maybe wanted to try and explain things to her, but then when she ran he panicked and killed her. Or he needed to kill her because she was a loose end.

The amount of left for dead sounds in this game is amazing haha. They’ve used various melee weapon sounds, the magnum and pistol sounds, coach’s, ellis, Nicks, and Rochelle’s voice lines, door sounds, and so many more.
Not Insym laughing hysterically while murdering people 😂😭
first i thought this was just mindless murder but by the end i was very invested in the story!
I like how at 8:43 you can hear Nick's scream from l4d2 and other screams from the rest of the characters like Coach and Ellis
I thought I heard Ellis scream at 4:42.

When I saw the credits, I was like, "Oh, that makes sense why I recognized some voices like the car and fire alarm, or the gunshot noise."
The music!! Such a groove. Very cool game, I'm glad they added a storyline to it. To anyone who misses Happy Wheels horror game, I'm sure you'll enjoy HappyHills!

8:11 “why is the dog not scared of thunder” the dog’s probably trained to recognize noises. Especially loud ones I say this since he immediately noticed the footsteps and can recognize glass breaking {demonstrated in other videos on the game}. Guard dogs are really sensitive to sound smell and sight because those three senses are needed to guard.
Edit: I’m not a trained professional I’m just a student lol. My mom used to own a guard dog however.

Gotta have to say that the murders are creative and gruesome.
The sequel is when the killer finds out about guns.
Nah, usually murders with certain weapons give certain details about the killer's relation/motive to the victim(s).
A gun is more distant, cold, impersonal, clean. A knife is close, personal, intimate, and violent. A gun you barely have to pull the trigger, a knife you have to have force with every single stab and make them count.
Common criminal psychology thing. As this was a revenge sort of thing, he wanted them to suffer, thus the brutality.

Omg I love this idea and wish there were more games where you play as the killer/monster. So cool. Love this game! Just would be better if it wasn't so scripted. Like it should allow you to find ways to kill them instead of giving you only one option per person

If you enjoyed this game a pixel game kinda similar is Lakeview cabin. The game has 4-5 levels and they are based on a group of 4 people trying to survive/ Escape.
This makes me want to see a AAA horror game where you only play as the murder/evil entity/evil person 👀

Fun fact to Insym : covering your eyes won't help from flashbang, The flashbang is the loud explosive sound and shockwave both hard enough to make your eyes blur/whiteout and ear ringing
-Sources : The articles from one of the protestors that has been tossed the flashbang at in order to dismiss the protest, I've read it quite few years ago while curious what it's like to get actual flashbang.

50:14 In real life, flashbangs don't make your vision white (so there's no point in covering your eyes). They make a short flash and a loud bang. Flashbangs are concussive, not blinding. Long story short, just cover your ears instead. Thank you for listening to my ted talk

Insym! A game similar to this would be Part Hard, or Lakeview Cabin, both are very fun and extremely familiar to this!
