- I work for the sheriff's office here in my town and I answer 911 calls, dispatch for Law Enforcement, Fire Rescue, and EMS.

Ill make a video with Gainesville and TAG you in it. I have played Gainesville before, its more like 3/4 of the city(downtown area) its not all in there unfortunately and you cant change what the people say for training purposes which would be really cool if you could.

When do you usually send police if someone did a prank call?
Depends how nasty their being but normally after the 2nd or 3rd time. Also, thats just me another call taker might not be so lenient.

Yeah for sure. We probably get twice as many admin than 911 calls. Go for it man! its a rewarding and tough job. Good Luck!
Well, even if these REALLY serious emergency cases will be REALLY rare, that work could destroy your psyche. Hearing someone losing his family member, family dramas, hostage situations, moral dillemas. Who knows if someone close to you will call 911 or 112 (European emergency number, at least Polish) and will connect exactly to you.

As a fellow player of the game (not a 911 operator IRL THO) watching the units tied up fighting while waiting for an ambulance for so long was kinda painful

I'm 5 years late, but considering you answered a question that was 2 years late, I'm assuming you'd answer this one too - Do you get Prank Calls by kids who think they're funny? And if so, how often? And do you send the police to them? (By Prank Calls I mean the Deez Nuts or shit like that)
yeah We get calls from kids like that a couple times a week probably and most of the time we do have a ping on the phone so we know where they are. If they do it more than like 2-3 times we will send someone to them
I was babysitting two kids one time and the oldest, 7 at the time, called 911 I guess? She had ran inside to use the bathroom and me and her brother were outside. 10 minutes later I hear knocking at the door and open it to the police. She had called and then hung up on them. -.-' Kids stress me out lol.

Is it hard dispatching extra units to a police chase call bacause if they running how do the cops not get confused
The call comes with the initial location, but with the "chase ongoing" in the log. So the unit that gets added knows to check into the radio channel and listen to where the chase is - usually the second unit behind the suspects runs "commentary", i.e. continuously updates everybody over the radio - for example "Left on Washington, Right on Main, Right onto I-27, etc."
