  • We think we just found some Human bones in very old and very scary Chinese mine. We think this mine is haunted and we are looking for their remains at the bottom of the shaft. We don't recommend that you anything like this .

We are thinking of opening up the Old Chinese workings and make a full size shaft will narrow gauge rail and full size ore carts .....tell us what you think of that idea sonny Jim ...PLUS we accidently hit a new Pay Layer of Nuggets .....that makes 3 drifts with three pockets of Gold....ALSO Don't forget to check out Doc's detecting Supplies ....he is good people and we have known him for years so go check him out and tell him Jeff and Slim sent ya . docsdetecting.com/

    Dear Jeff,
Thank you for the nice endorsement for my Gold Spot™ Scoop. I designed the G-Spot™ so it could be used like a mini portable gold pan. You can see how efficiently the G-Spot keeps gold behind the riffle in the recessed channel making nugget recovery easy; even when using it dry. (For those men out there who have been told you don't know where to find the G-Spot™, well... now you know!)
I should have known when sales of the G-Spot were crazier than usual you were behind it.
I say this with all sincerity: I know a lot of people who are extremely knowledgeable about prospecting for gold. However, you are the one who is most willing to share and give that knowledge away so generously. What good is knowledge if you don't share it?
I learn something from every video. For example, in this video I learned, don't eat beans in a drift mine. The risk of explosion is too great. :-) -Doc from Doc's Detecting.

Yep gotta start eating some hard Tack instead ....thanks again and be safe out there .

By the way Jeff, if you get into an area where you need a hundred 10 volt electricity AC, you probably already know this but I'll tell you anyway, if you use a 12-volt DC battery out of your car henna tattoo in inverter of a high quality of course oh, then you can run your a hundred 10 volt hammer directly off of that an inverter. All you would need to do is set up the battery and inverter outside of the mine, and run an extension cord. Until that battery dies you got free electricity, okay you have overhead, the battery extension cord and the inverter, otherwise it's free LOL. I try to help you as much as I can, sitting here my broke down car waiting for my government check LOL

I think you should use a blower down that new shaft to suck out the overburden and even the ore components for mass processing. By Blower I mean a big vacuum machine. My dad was a Opal miner in Coober Pedy and had a blower for easily extracting the dirt from underground. Basically it is a truck with an aux engine and an offset vaccuum with a hopper. A quick search on it should show you what I mean. You already have a few lengths of that 6" pipe just need a few elbows some inner tube and hose clamps for joiners and off course a blower and your on your way. Its also good for degassing your claim after blasting, would make life super easy bringing material up to the surface.

Open it up! I liked your sweater, I just wondered if it would tend to get snagged with the work you do in your neighborhood, Mr Rogers. 🤓. How do you know this is a Chinese drift mine as versus built by others? You may have mentioned this, but if you did I missed it. Enjoying all the cool stuff.

Actual rail track and ore cart with a handbrake is the best idea ever! More realistic as well as nostalgic! You might want to dig an incline shaft out of the mine to make it easier to haul the pay dirt, or a head frame and lift for the Chinese vertical shaft. Whichever works for you, Jeff! Keep history and the dream alive, sir! Say hi to Nevada Jack and Slim for me, will ya? If you like the Old West and gold mining? Boy, I sure do! So come see Jeff Williams and he'll help you find some AU! Stay safe and take care, Brother!

Back in the day long before your time my friend and mine too, they actually had pork with the beans. My grandfather told me that used to have big chunks of pork in there. To the point where they called it pork and beans oh, the pork outnumbered the bean

You should build a tall tripod with a bungee down the center to hold your jackhammers wait to save energy.
By making it tall you can use it for the overhead or upper walls

I would go for the actual rail and carts. A lot of work to install, but more output per day.
Now a few questions: If that shaft & drift you found was producing good gold why would it be covered over and abandoned? Are you able to determine how old the workings were, possibly by being able to date the cans? I would be happy to work a set of diggings like that.
Did you ever figure out what was making the odd sounds in that new area?

    • @Askjeffwilliams
      @Askjeffwilliams  3 года назад

exactly.........we have a few ideas but not sure ....it looks like it was dug by the Chinese then later dug by the White man based of of the equipment ....maybe trying to hide it ... like a lost mine story ...still not sure what was and is making those noises

Open up big enough to run a skip.
Rent borrow hydraulic Smeal 5T or 12T
Water well pulling unit. Haul buckets up.

Maybe some straps on the kneepads, that tie to your belt will keep them up. ??!!??
The actual track is really cool. And if the cost ways up the benefits its a great thing to do! Especially if you have narrow gauge track laying around!
    Really cool show!
Are you gonna dig the whole body up and leave them bones as an ornament on one of the sets?
    Greetings,
    Jeff

  • @liamdtraxxas2011

Open it up. With all the crystals in there i think it should be crystals shaft. It would make sence to open it up you can get more material out. It would be the mutts nuts if you had real track in there with the old ore carts and you would be saving thm from rotting away and will defo look cool.
